I absolutely love that you shred your own cheese. People do not understand that bag cheese is coded in potato starch which is why it always turns out grainy when you make a cheese sauce or macaroni and cheese with it. As much as I love Welsh rabbit, the beer and cheese sauce is ruined because of potato starch. Thank you for reminding me about how easy this recipe is. My mom always added a quarter cup of chopped parsley to the mix to make it festive at Christmas time. It never changed the flavor, but boy do any sausage balls look wonderful!!!!?

I am auto immune, so I have to be alone + just got out of a week long hospital stay with a Crohn's Disease flare. NOT looking for pity. Just please yall, never take your health for granted. I'm a college graduate that lives in the projects now due to my health. I love these. I went to the Bisquick site and everything had changed. They had recipes for all different ways of making these. But not this one. This one is the best! I use Jimmy Dean Hot sausage to give them a kick and I don't use dipping sauces. But that's just my preference. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone this crazy year! I'm a bachelor, I live by myself, for some how and some reason I just think I found out a way to gain a lot of weight in a short time by making these little balls. These little balls are almost like eating a whole bag of potato chips which I can't stand, except you have to make these. It's very seldom that I cook, espically with a oven but I think I will try to make them the next time I go to the market to get the ingredients.

I wouldn't be able to do anything without my mixer. My grandmother bought me my first Kitchenaid mixer over 25 years ago....it is Cobalt blue and it still works perfectly like it was brand new.
