wow... the dolphins...the smack bayou looked like a very peaceful anchorage. Great Video
You're right Patrick! We are in awe of these bottlenose dolphins. They are such social creatures and we see them everywhere! We loved Smack Bayou and highly recommend it to any loopers passing that way. Thanks for watching!😎
Another great video Rachel!!! Super wildlife footage and narration; love the music selections. Always enjoy Malcom's Report from the Bridge!!!! A few more vids on maintenance, systems, upkeep would help us all decide if we could really do The Loop! Thank you.
Thank you Erick! So glad you're enjoying our journey and thanks for coming along for the ride! We may show some more maintenance in the future. Boat work is certainly something that comes with the territory!😎
That footage of the wildlife was just priceless. When all the birds took off (mergansers??), to be able to hear the dolphins breathing so clearly...You could swear it was a human with a snorkel!! It felt like we were right there with you. Well done, Rach!
Hey thanks Ian! It was really hard to get the dolphins to wear mic’s 🤣 Actually it’s amazing how sound travels across the water! It was cormorants that got freaked but when the dolphin was rushing around under water almost all the birds took off. 😎
Wow, what an anchorage!
Absolutely right DB! What an amazing anchorage full of wildlife! Thanks for watching!😎
Enjoyed your video, especially your morning footage of birds and dolphins at Smack Bayou. I live in Panama City. Welcome to our area.
Hi Janet and thanks for your kind comment. We love the wildlife and enjoy sharing it with you. It was a great anchorage at Smack Bayou!😎
Looks like I have a tons of catching up to do..... So good to see you both are doing great..❤
Hi Karen, we’ve covered a lot of “ground” since Panama City Beach… time to binge watch 🤣 Thanks for following our journey 😎
Love the dolphins, the Mainship 390 continues to top our boat list, thank you for sharing your boat and adventure.
Hi Harold, the Mainship trawlers are a very popular choice for loopers. Our Classic 390 has served us very well so far. Glad you are along for the ride and thanks for watching!😎
Your best video yet, especially your music choices 👌
Thank you Alfred! We just loved the Smack Bayou anchorage and seeing all the wildlife. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching!😎
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!😎
Lots of wildlife activity in that one anchorage!
We loved Smack Bayou and all the wildlife that it had to offer!😎
Those were some nice anchorages that you were at...nice and peaceful. Liked whatever kind of birds those were in the water. Funny how they all got spooked and hightailed it out of there. 🤠
Hi T Mac, we just loved the Smack Bayou anchorage. It was amazing to see all the wildlife. The dolphin was swimming all over catching fish and the birds certainly got spooked!!😎
Welcome to Panama City, the town that I call home. I have fished smack by you on many occasions. It was a lot more beautiful before the hurricane came through but it sure is still pretty beautiful.
Hi Daniel, we saw quite a few fishing boats come through Smack Bayou, especially on a weekend. You live in a beautiful area and I think the wildlife agree! Thanks for watching!😎
Love you alls video, and I love what you’re doing. It’s awesome… I am an airline pilot and live in Ky, but I own a condo in PCB, next time you are in town, let me know and if you want, you can stay at my condo for a couple nights, no cost to you, just let me know if you want rest your sea legs… I love your trawler too, great yacht… Very cool.
Thanks Jeffrey for your very kind offer! And thanks for watching!😎
Enjoyed the video! We own a place in Panama City Beach, so some of the sights you showed are very familiar. I hope you enjoyed your stay and visiting St. Andrews State Park. Also, just a couple of weeks ago we purchased a Mainship 390 very similar to yours - even including the solar panel addition that the previous owner installed! Doing some renovations on the boat now, getting it ready for spring & summer boating. Keep the videos coming!
Hi Tarka and thanks for your comment! How interesting you have another Mainship with a similar solar set-up. We loved visiting that area and really enjoyed St. Andrew's State Park. You will see more of our activities in an upcoming episode so stay tuned!😎
We love your videos so much! My whole family watches them and we are inspired to get out on the Trent-Severn waterways near us. Your videos are so well put together and narrated. Thank you for making them. My son created a lego version of your boat Stay Cool, but I could not get the comment through with the clickable link to it. I think CZcams blocked it. I'll see if I can figure out another way to share it. He even built the solar panel on top. Safe and happy cruising in the months ahead ! Annette
Hello Annette & family!
Thank you so much for your kind comment! We would love to see your son's creation of Stay Cool in lego! Feel free to email us directly at travelstaycool@gmail.com. We are glad to inspire your family to boat along the Trent-Severn Waterway and would be happy to answer any of your questions. Thanks for watching!😎
Love your videos, you do a great job explaining what to expect along the loop. Question do you have a hard time finding someone to take your old engine oil? Look forward to taking our 390 Mainship on the loop in a few years❤. Peg
Hi Peggy and thanks for your question. Most marinas accept our used oil that we change ourselves and we have never found this to be an issue. Glad you're enjoying the videos and thanks for coming along for the ride. You will have so much fun on your own loop!😎
You are experiencing the loop the way it should. Taking your time and soaking up the island life. Great trip with all the birds, dolphins and a gar. Enjoy your stay, we will.
We are loving travelling through the Gulf ICW. So many new places to see and experience. What a joy to see all this amazing wildlife. Thanks for watching Buck!😎
What are your thoughts on the dingy? If starting from scratch, would you keep the smaller tiller steer or possibly move up slightly to console? As I'm considering our outfitting, I expect we'll want to use the dingy fairly extensively and the larger size (along with beefy davits) seems to be more comfortable.
Hi Salmon Daze, both would be comfortable but just personal preference. Our size of dinghy can accommodate a centre console, but we elected not to because of the weight and for simplicity. Both are excellent choices. Highfield brand is Stay Cool approved!👍🏻😎
You can't get footage like that from a marina, looks good.
You are absolutely right! We love anchoring and Smack Bayou was one of our favourites! Wildlife galore!😎
I’m always sad when I hear the end of video music…
Awww that’s so kind of you to say. Thanks for watching Tony! Much more to come… 😎
