Looks great. Have fun.
Extraordinary video. The journey is the destination.
Yes sir
That is such beautiful water and scene that you just want to get in a boat and go and go and go.
I made that crossing a few times. With the right weather it is a beautiful trip, with wrong weather, it's pretty darn miserable. And, you're right there's no excuse for not crossing in good weather.
Correct weather weather weather
I can completely understand the coffee issue. It's always my #1 concern! During a week of combat training I had to get a squirt bottle of concentrated coffee to put in room temperature bottled water because we were heading out to the gun range before the chow hall opened for breakfast. Not good. Not good at all. Peace
good shit. you havent enjoyed coffee untill youve dipped the folgers packet from an mre 🤣
Great Video! I took a 40' sailboat up the gulf from Marathon FL. to Pensacola in December. I remember dodging crab pots for 48 hours. During the day the seas were the flattest I have ever seen. Dauphin came up and rode our bow. It was an amazing day. That was the calm before the storm however. The weather turned nasty and was not very pleasant the last 24 hours of the trip. I would do it again though...
We were lucky to have calm seas all the way
Does the Katy Leigh have new fuel tanks, and if not how do you determine the old tanks are sound?
You can have a survey done from a fuel company that will sign off on the tanks if they are any good.
Commercial Fishermen will spend days out on the middle grounds catching Grouper/Snapper or Crabs/Lobster (depending on what is in season). Been there. Done that.
Yes and they had the weather out there
