Been there, done that. Great video footage of an awesome "bucket list" adventure that I took with a best friend in late summer and fall of 2018.

Enjoy the video's. What is the bridge clearance on that fantastic boat? How quickly did you complete the loop?

18 ft is the air draft if you don’t drop the arch , which I didn’t 14 ft if the arch is down . Loop restrictions are as follows: Restrictions along route impacting Vessel Choice
      - Bridge Clearance 19' 6” to clear fixed bridge on Illinois river south of Chicago , lower if better.. but with that said The railroad bridge at mile 300.6 has a height of 19.7 feet based on a pool level of 576.2 at Lockport Loc. There is no alternative route, if the river is not low and you are greater that 19’6” The great loop could become a great u turn ;) there are services that will remove mast, raider units etc...at the bridge for a fee but if the river is at level, you must be under 19’ 6” with everything removed and lowered that can be.
      - Under 17.6’ to clear a fixed bridge at mile 320.4 on the Chicago river if you go through Downton Chicago, there is an alternative route by taking the Calumet River , so not a hard limit.
      -
      - Ideally 15’ 6” to clear a fixed bridge on the Erie canal , not a hard limit, there is an alternative . Note : That limit of 15'6'' of height for the Erie Canal should be taken with a caution. If any of the bridges in the western section has work being done on it, the cables and tarps hung under the bridge will further reduce this clearance. Per alga member rudyandjill@yahoo.com.
      - Note from an algca member ALloyd217@aol.com - Waterford to Oswego is the railroad bridge at Lock 19. This bridge is barely 21 feet at normal pool.
      - Draft , fully loaded

Too bad you are in such a hurry to complete the loop and to show your videos. It would be awesome to watch, you have some great footage, but you are cherry picking and speeding along !

I'm actually enjoying the highlight reel style videos. There are quite a few Loop documentaries where people explain in great detail every single little aspect of their trip. That's fine, but that's clearly not what these folks were shooting for.
