I'm glad this version is till up, I know he had to remove all the movie clips for the DVD, but this episode of AVGN doesn't make any sense without them.
This is one of the few AVGN episodes that *suffers* without the original clips! 😅
To be fair the SNES version wasn't too bad. It actually gets quite fun with the puzzle solving and the humor. It is challenging but definitely a playable game.

Wayne's World for SNES is an absolute masterpiece, its one of my favorite games of all time and i enjoy every second of it, truly one of the absolute best games on the SNES, the humor always cheers me up on my darkest days and i never feel like the game cheated me, the level design is fantastic and original, the platforming is outstanding and destroys anything Mario had to offer, the graphics and music are astounding for its time, it rivals Super Metroid in replay value as well, its a classic in every sense of the word.

Ed O'Neal is one of my favorite actors. He was a riot on Married... With Children.
And he was shit in Modern Family.
If you're a fan of Ed, try to get your hands on a copy of _Disorganized Crime_, with Corbin Bernsen, Lou Diamond Phillips, Ruben Blades and Fred Gwynne. It's kind of a forgotten comedy of the '90s, but Ed's great in that; one of the funniest things in it.
And Hank in Finding Dory.
Sure enough, the accordion enemy at 7:13 was saying excellent just 2x the speed. Great.

Around the time Wayne's World SNL bits and movie were all the rage, there was a rumor that Elvis was still alive, and had been spotted in multiple locations, so this is why the Elvis Boss doesn't seem to make sense to those under the age of 40, for the most part.

My wife never made me a hat. She died in 2016. I mean, I always had plenty of hats. It’s not like she was denying me hats. I’m certain that if I asked her to make me a hat, she would have made me a hat. She would probably have asked me why, but she’d go ahead and make me a hat. That’s the kind of person she was. I miss her. EDIT: On second thought, she would have probably bought me a hat instead. I’m not sure she would have taken me seriously enough to actually somehow stitch and assemble some kind of hat. It would be a weird request, and I often kidded with her about ridiculous stuff. Maybe it depends on what kind of hat I wanted. If I asked her to make me an elaborate cowboy hat or one of those big furry hats the guards wear at Buckingham Palace, she wouldn’t have had the expertise required to create such an item. She was very smart, and theoretically she could have learned how to make those types of hats and acquired the tools and materials to do so, but that would be really inconvenient and I just wouldn’t have asked such a thing of her.

To be fair, I think it would be hard to put Bohemian Rhapsody on a SNES sound chip and have it come out decent.
True, but they probably shouldn't have even included the scene, as it is virtually impossible to make it sound remotely decent.
whoever programed bohemian rhapsody onto that game should burn in the fiery pits of hell along with the game. i imagine that it would be hard, but not impossible, to program but if you suck that bad don't even bother.

5:36 ... actually, now I’d say that TNG is actually much more recognized than the original... especially if the JJ-verse Kelvin-timeline movies didn’t exist and kind of hit reset on the awareness of TOS in the collective consciousness.
The right way to make a Wayne’s World game:
• Make it as live-action as Night Trap and Plumber Don’t Wear Ties.
• Have the gameplay center on only the Wayne’s World show for the name’s sake with a board-game/Mario Party concept to win coins as either Wayne or Garth in single or multiplayer.
• Have it come with a series of playable bonus games (by selecting “Noah’s Arcade-mode”) that look like 8/16-bit classics and only require coins to interact with.

I am trying to wrap my mind around these kinds of games. Evidently it was a thing to take characters that had next to nothing to do with fighting and shooting and make a game. I mean we've got a Wayne's World shooter, a Home Improvement Shooter, and an Adam's Family shooter where Lester is shooting at aliens in the video game. There was a Full House tournament fighter. And a game where you control Bart Simpson to fight aliens. Seriously none of the characters or series lend themselves to a fighting or shooter style of game.

The Shotgun Gamer Strange as it may sound, I wish I still had my NES copy of this game. I bought it brand-new in 1993 or 1994, and it was complete when I traded it. I understand it sells for quite a bit now.
Evan Patrick I got another complete copy and recorded a series of videos playing it. Sometime I'll show a no death playthrough since I've once again built up the skill to do that.

I love all the vignettes from Wayne's World used in this review. Same in the Back to the Future video, it gives a great extra level of comedy and relevance. I lost it when Garth destroyed the NES game.
