    I’m worried about the number of guests it is limited to-due to the definition of “immediate family” Depending on how guests travel. It’s not always with immediate family. Should be interesting to see how it all rolls out.

      Yeah i can definitely understand that. Im also interested to see how this all plays out.

    I appreciate what you said at the end of the video…. And I really hope you’re right. I absolutely hope they will consider using the program that requires documentation, as it felt like a gut punch when I heard they were changing to developmental disabilities only. I have had to leave line even with DAS, so I can’t imagine what it would be like without it, not to mention undoable. Holding out hope it is not as bad as the Disney site makes it sound.

      I have to believe that Disney will do the right thing. There are so many people with so many disabilities that really do need DAS. And i agree about providing documentation.

      We’re here now. They don’t care. They made the process over a zoom call so you won’t make a scene in guest services. Even some pass holders with autism and developmental disorders will be denied

      Yes that’s what I mentioned in the beginning of the video. All the changes went into play as of may 20th 2024 for Disney World. The perk of getting two advance selections is no more.

    We have been to Disney world many times since my daughter was 3. She's now 8, and she has autism and we never knew to use DAS. We planned to use it on our upcoming trip. I think it's these people are disgusting who abuse things like this.
    I wish they would just require proif of a diagnosis to qualify. If you don't want to provide that then your either trying to scam the system or you don't really want to use it.
    I do agree that, with the old Fastpas system, it was much better.

    • @HappyTravelVlogs
      @HappyTravelVlogs  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Same for us...we knew of DAS but never really used it because the 3 FP's was enough. As he got older we would use it here and there. I agree i dont mind providing documentations at all!

    I was told that I don’t qualify for DAS when I’m completely wheelchair bound, cannot have my leg hanging low for more than hour as I have chronic pain & circulation issues that are triggered by inflammation and being in the sun cause inflammation due to increase water in body due to sweating

      Oh im so sorry to hear this. Was this recent? Were you able to talk to them in person? I hope with the changes there will be accommodations for everyone.

    It's sad the bad seeds make it hard for others. But we seen it highly abused on our trip. We have no problem with showing proof of my son's medical conditions and disabilities . When universal switched we had no issues. Took less than a week and I'm the one asking for the accommodations so my home health and I supplied everything. We will wait it out and and I know we won't have issue but hope they will be able to help accommodate others in a way that helps those with what their issues are.

      I absolutely agree with you the bad seeds definitely ruined it for so many people who need DAS and i'm with you i have no issues providing documentation.

    I did not get a DAS pass. They offered me rider switch. It really depends on everyone's situation. DO you think I should try again?

      @HappyTravelVlogs  Před 2 měsíci

      Ugh sorry to hear that. I think you should definitely try again. I’ve seen in fb groups where people share their experiences saying that they called 3+ times. I believe it was a lady calling for her child and he was approved on the 6th call.

    Hi, my name is Collin Fossell, I am currently living in Washington state I’ve been that way since I was born, wanted things we need to figure out what Disney World can do, to make it to where it will be easier for me to be able to chitchat virtually with a cast member either the computer, or my iPhone that I got now so, let’s try to get this taken care of by about 19 May and get all of those questions answered by about that time that way we can make sure they are able to work out something to wear. They can accommodate me for when I come to Disney World so, and one thing that I wanna share with you, is that if people this is my opinion, if people lie about the disability access service, and get forfeited for going into the park, what is the things I would say to people in addition to just losing the annual pass, and all the other step you mentioned, if you get forfeited for going into the park, you will not be able to listen to Disney music anymore because of being orate into the park so don’t ever lie when it comes to the disability access service OK? So just to let you know that never ever ever happened to me at all because I would’ve already told them in advance what my disabilities are and then they will make it to where they be able to accommodate me so it has nothing to do with me not that at all, so just to let you know hope you get those comments and I’m really looking forward to hearing some feedback from you guys that I wanna share with you was that when we went to Disneyland back in 2010, they gave us the disability accommodation. We called Dave before and said that I have a disability, and they were able to let me go through the wheelchair entrance, for some of the rides at Disneyland rides we were not able to go on the Matterhorn ride, the submarine ride, and a couple others too, because there was a long long line for getting on the jungle Cruise that we went on had a wheelchair, and some of the other ride like Peter Pan had a wheelchair entrance so we could get on and yes, a small world had a wheelchair entrance that we were able to go through because of me with the disabilitydisability that I have, hearing impaired, cerebral palsy blind, in recently I am now diagnosed with epilepsy. So, I did get the video about the virtual chat, but because of my blindness, I’m not 100% sure how the virtual chat is gonna work for me because I can’t see for one, and we need to figure out how we can make it to where it’ll be easier for me to be able to virtual chat with a cast member because I have an iPhone 14 Pro now, and

      Thank you for sharing! I absolutely agree there needs to be hard consensus for people that lie. I found this on the website i hope it helps "Video chat is screen reader-friendly for Guests with visual disabilities and available with text chat for Guests with hearing disabilities".
      Here is the link disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/disability-access-service/register/
      I think you might need help from a friend or a family member to maybe get you started with the chat and then they will adjust once connected. I also think it might be worth giving them a call maybe a few days before you plan on having your video chat with them to ask all the questions.
      Thank you so much for your comment please come back to let us know how things work out!

    Thank you for your videos. My son has autism, and I have found them to be very helpful. We scheduled a trip back in January of 2024 for the week of May 27, 2024. Do you know if we will still get to choose 2 rides per park day for our upcoming trip? I am not able to register until April 27th.

    • @HappyTravelVlogs
      @HappyTravelVlogs  Před 4 měsíci

      Im so glad they have been helpful. Honestly im not even sure....i haven’t seen anything in the groups since people have started to register on April 20th. I did see someone post that advance selections wont be a thing after May 20th but i dont know if you might be the last group of guests that will get to use it since you have a trip/pre registration overlapping during this change.

      @@HappyTravelVlogs Hi! I only had to interview with a cast member. I did not have to talk to a 3rd party healthcare organization. I just explained the difficulties that my son has due to his autism diagnosis. I was then also able to make 2 pre-selections along with making selections once we get to the parks. I am thinking that they will utilize the upcoming changes after May 19th? But that is only a guess. Thank you again for all your help!
