    I'll just leave this here, I used this on my personal car, I drive 40k miles a year and it is very hard to keep my cars looking good. But this, this really works. Application was 6 months ago, I've driven 22k miles since then and protection is still very much evident, and it's made the car so easy to clean since. My last car had one of your previous generation coatings on which did the job, but was a pig to apply, very grabby for weeks afterwards and didn't hold up as long. Pure Evo by comparison went on like a dream, didn't waterspot as badly and is still doing the work.
    Pulling the car into the garage and giving it a cancoat refresh tomorrow ready for the deep winter. Great product and glad I took a chance on it!

    This is an amazing product but I am still confused with PURE and MOHS. What are the differences between the two as far as gloss hydrophobic behavior?

  • @bdcd16
    @bdcd16 Před rokem +1

    Hey, Jeff, thanks for the video. I had been looking into MOHS EVO and received a bottle for Christmas. I am wondering if Pure might be better for my Soul Red Mazda 6. From what I can gather, PURE is darker and deeper, and MOHS is glossier, but not as deep.
    Pure is better visually, but MOHS is slicker. Both are supposed to be kept up with ceramic detailer. How do they compare after ceramic detailer? Is pure as slick now? Is Mohs as deep? Thanks

    don't knots if I didn't use enough I coated a small suv volvo xc60 brand new. I used half my 50 ml kit probably 20 mL. cleaned with Meguires Hyper Wash, Iron X, clay mitt, then Gyeon Prep and coated one whole panel at a time knowing it's forgiving I have 5 min then leveled really easy used 1 low pile microfiber to get it off and second blue high pile one to get it perfect.
    it didnt go on thick though ...just enough to be even and fully cover the panel. I also put another, I guess, light coating on the front end because I was wondering if I put too little on.? we'll see in a couple weeks when I do 1st wash. definately love the gloss and ease of use though. hope I used enough

    I'm looking at getting some PPF on a couple of panels my car, I know you do a dedicated ceramic coating for PPF but will Pure work okay on PPF? I don't want to have to buy two different ceramic coatings for one car.

    • @GYEON_official
      @GYEON_official  Před 2 lety

      Hi, it will work but it’s absolutely not recommended! Not to push you in any way but the new Q² PPF EVO is amazing, don’t think short term. Go for it, you will have zero regrets!
      Another option is to use GYEON PPF PROTECT+ which already has a hydrophobic topcoat build in, is selfhealing and has stunning clarity. Choose wisely.
      Good luck.

  • @Life_with_an_alfa_romeo

    Great product and great video! 👍
    Question: Can you wipe/buff off immediately after applying, or do you need to wait a bit?
    Also, can you use the applicator for the entire car to coat?

    • @mikea3169
      @mikea3169 Před 2 lety +1

      Yep, you can wipe it off immediately after applying; the coating bonds to the clearcoat almost immediately. No harm in letting it sit for a bit though; as long as it doesn't start getting really grabby upon removal.

    • @GYEON_official
      @GYEON_official  Před 2 lety +4

      In stable conditions you can wipe off after you have covered your section. Reaction and bonding is already there after 10-15 seconds.
      One applicator for a whole car is not what I would recommend. Depends of course the aize of the car but a minimum of 3 would be my go on a normal sized car.

Car is straight from the factory line(dealership), fresh paint etc. Do i have to wait several weeks or months till the fresh paint gets hard, gas out and dry or after driving home from the dealership i can apply a layer of protection coat e.g. Gyeon Pure Evo or Gyeon Wax? What is your recomendation? Thank you for your answer! Best regards! Tom from Hungary

    How long, until I can introduce water to it? I finished coating a car yesterday, around 3pm. Right now it’s 8am the next day, would it be okay to test some of the panels with water to make sure it’s bonding properly and make sure the water is beading off?

    • @GYEON_official
      @GYEON_official  Před 2 lety +1

      This test will not bring you any valuable answers, yet, on the contrary, will add the most unwanted factor to a freshly applied coating. Just don't do it.
      A freshly applied coating always beads worse than a dry/cured one. If you missed a spot, you will have to re-apply probably the whole panel anyway and there shall not be a huge difference whether you do it now or in a weeks time.

    Application: The problem does Not reside in not having enough coating. The problem resides in 2 things: 1. Seeing the coating once you remove it! (It is very hard to see) 2. 10 minutes flashing time is a joke, if your working in over 20 degrees: Even if using several towels, example 1 for each panel, there seem to be a possibility for it to leave smudgy stains. (Granted not 100 % sure this was coz of preparation products i used). But in my opinion the hard thing with this product is that in summer, it has to be removed very quickly after application! And while doing so, it is utterly important to swap to a clean destination of your towel on every wipe! & swap towel after 1 panel or so! 👍
