- Hey party people! Thanks so much for hanging out with me while I share this new around the house happenings with you!! BOy oh BOY has it been a start to the new year! I just got over being so stinking sick it hurt everything. I had food poisoning. I don't think I even explained that, maybe I will in my next video.. who the heck knows. haha! It's a story and a half, as always. We are celebrating the last hoorah at our house to round off the birthday season and birthday celebrations! finally. I tidy up the pantry and some bathrooms, I make some food, I chat about lord knows what - seriously I can't even remember and I filmed the voiceover this morning. I'm so thirsty it hurts and I feel like this is turning into a blog post. I was raised on the outskirts of the Jersey Shore....

Becky and Kim are the last cpl CZcamsrs I watch regularly because they are both real. They are definitely different though. In completely different phases of life and have different styles/personalities, but both real and so inspiring 😀

I’m a mom of four boys, and I always tell people about “different” stages I’m in. Right now I’m in the “smelly” stage. They are almost 10,12,14,16 yrs old, and I’m already done with this stinky stage, but almost in the “glass” stage. Where I can allow glass ware in the house so we can graduate from plastic cups. Lol.

Hey Kim. My artist daughter is graduating in May with an art degree so I am speaking from experience here. You just have to let your little artist art. 🤣 Seriously though, my girl tells me now that my support during those years was priceless and that just gives me all the mom feels. ❤️

Don't stress our tree is still up. We have all been sick since before Thanksgiving and are just finally starting to get better.
I didn't even put mine up this year. My daughter told me to skip it and she didn't have to ask me twice. She doesn't care about it., I do but I've worked a million hours I feel lol

Hii Kim, I'm a 24yold and I when I see all the things you do for your kids it just makes me feel soo happy for them but then soo sad because my mom was a single mom and full time working so we really didn't have all these birthdays and friends come home and stay and it s still a sore spot for me even tho I know my mom did her best with what she had. Anyways 😂😂 I just wanted to tell you that you doo so much for your kids and you're building such amazing souvenirs for them for when they're grown up and in college dormrooms. High five to you and keep going mama you're wonderful ❤️.
My daughter had a group of her middle school friends spend a couple of nights at our house. They were body surfing down our stairs head first! One of the girls slid head first into the wall at the bottom of the stairs! That hole was still there when they graduated high school 😅. We fixed it right before we moved 😆

My favorite person right now to talk to well my daughter sure but she is 9. So not too deep of convos, but other then her... 94 year old lady. Best sense of humor I've ever heard. Love watching you and Becky. I have a large garden (not a homestead) so Becky gives great ways to store and use it. Then I have you for when I have lazy days. You let me know that store bought is just fine and help me get excited to clean.

Girl, my aunt has had cutco knives since 1970 something. I finally invested in my own set 20 yrs ago. They are guaranteed for life. Yes, LIFE. For any reason. You can send them to Cuto when they get a little dull, and they will sharpen them. FREE My aunt sent her 30 yr old chef knife to get sharpened, and they replaced it because it was old. FOR FRE. AMAZING company. Be careful. They are sharp. I sliced my finger clear through the tip and 5 stitches later....I'm good now. Lol. Just be careful. You will never use another knife again. You have no idea how expensive those knives are, but the guarantee is 100% worth the price.

Love my cutco knives. I only have a few because of the price just one at a time. My husband bought me one for Christmas to replace my vegetable knife, which was $180. Yikes. They last a lifetime, so I suppose it works out. We still have our tree up too. I live with chronic pain, so the holidays killed me this year. Plus, here in Northern California, we have had wild storms that have knocked out power for hours on end. I spend New years Eve in the dark and cutting up food and preparing for lunch/dinner the next day for 10 people. Oh, what fun.

Heck Yeah! Those Cutco Knives? The best. I love mine. I'm convinced it's why I enjoy cooking so much. AND if they need sharpening all you have to do is give them a call. They can come to the house and sharpen them for you or you make an appointment at a sharpening event, for free, lifetime guarantee. I never save fine things for a special day. I use them now. My kids remember washing a princess house pitcher that i used for orange or apple juice. If it broke it was sad but ok. I still have that pitcher
40 years later. So use things now.

Hi Kim, Glad to hear you are feeling better. Just wanted to drop a note about the food grade buckets. If you ordered them with the regular lids they are a pain in the butt to get on and off. To put them on securely you need a mallet and to get them off you need a crow bar. The buckets are easiest to be used with Gamma lids. They come with a rim that you put onto the bucket allowing the gamma lids to be screwed on and off. This is so much easier. If you did'nt purchase the gamma lids you might want to. You just need to make sure you order them for your correct bucket size.
They are a bit of expense but so worth it.

Yes! Totally use the good knives! A few years ago a stopped saving my 'good' things; using them up brings my life so many tiny snippets of joy. Use the good knives, eat leftovers off the fancy plates, wear the good cosmetics in your own living room, snack on the special chocolate on a rando Tuesday. Put a lil happy in your day!💃😎

Also we just got a Costco here but after watching your Costco video…. Wow! It doesn’t even compare!! I cannot even begin to express how shocked I am!
It is really fun to watch… so I am definitely not criticising. It just amazes me how quickly I have forgotten what it is like in the USA. I was trying to explain to my kiddos just how many options the USA has for (everything!) and they can’t wrap their mind around it.
We are coming back for our first visits in a few months and I am actually super excited to see the grocery stores🤣!
