    9:25 archer cannot keep walking past the enemy to get to that position, it has to stop when entering the front arc of the enemy.... or take a free strike from it....
    Just learning the game as I watch and referencing the rules.

    As a note, when you did the move for the Barbarian he would want to stop at the first square adjacent to the skeleton since that square is in its front arc. Moving out of a square in an enemies front generates a free attack for the enemy.

    Thanks for the Learn to Play. Very helpful in seeing the gameplay steps. It seems like this is similar to a lot other dungeon crawlers.

    Are there any optional rules in the core game that give monsters more abilities or choices? For example, any "undead" traits or abilities besides the basic stats?

    The App is not going to control the enemies. It focuses on the Map reveal stuff. The enemies are controlled mainly based on a basic AI flow chart since positioning matters a lot in the game so you would have to track the positions of all the models in the app which means you are essentially playing the app and not the board game.

      You mean, in this game you do not need to track the positions of all the models in the app, right?

      @@AndreasRugtvedNeumann that is my understanding. App is for hidden info type stuff.

      @@bradp6452That is great. This is how an App for a board game should be. Thanks.

    Nice game. Why isn't it more popular? Yes, it's like Heroquest and that is a good thing because the Best thing about Heroquest is how will it takes Flattery.

    What makes this different from the other crawlers out there?

    • @bradp6452
      @bradp6452 Před rokem +1

      It is very much in the vain of Heroquest as a pretty easy to learn and play Dungeon Crawler except it has more tactical combats with zones of control, flanking, and out numbering.

      @@bradp6452 yes, it seems to be a bit more in depth. I miss some depth in HeroQuest for instance and am looking for something a bit more intelligent and exiting. However there are some games that take it to a level, where its just too much for a casual night of gaming and boxes that take toooo much space.

      I've found it flows a lot faster than some other dungeon crawlers as well. The combat mechanic is pretty neat as it allows for block/parties without getting overcomplicated, and that's about the most gimmicky/complicated thing about the game. I haven't played EVERY dungeon crawler, but a lot of them, and I'm basing my observations off of a limited knowledge of this game so far, but a LOT of knowledge of its predecessor. DS Origins is a streamlined/improved version of the original Dungeon Saga, which has been my favorite dungeon crawler so far to date.
