This is the best instruction video I’ve found for Model Y. Even much better than the manufacturer video and written instructions which are, frankly, wanting in both detail and steps. A DIYer can figure out all the connections and wire routing but I still like to see this included in a video. Thanks and thumbs up.

Thanks for you video. I installed mine today. Took about 3 hours. Could have been faster but wanted to be careful. Used your video as a reference for each step.

Great instructional video. Easy to understand. Some of your video shots were actually blocking the view of close up work. No problem, I know you were working alone. Most times you had good focus. At all times your voice was clear and the explanations were perfect. You forgot to show that you can control the speeds of the open and close function? By pressing and holding the button on the controller until each beep, upto 6 beeps for the fastest operation. I saw that in another video. Just sayin'!

Thanks for you feedback! Really appreciate it! To be honest I was not aware of the speed adjustment until later my friend pointed it out to me. Thanks for the support!

Thank you for the video. I’m seriously considering for my Y. Question? Did you have to turn ALL the power off to the battery? I’m not trying to get shocked! Lol

Great video! You definitely made the strut exchange part look easy! I came out with couple of scratches, it’s just very narrow to get your arm in there. Do you happen to test the emergency latch system? I am having an issue with it: when my frunk is closed and I pull on emergency wire nothing happens, but when I pull on wire when the frunk is up then it seems it releases the latch lock into open position which sounds like it should do the opposite (release latch when hood is down…). So overall ny install works well but I can’t use the emergency latch (perk: people can’t open it easily… con: don’t want to run into any issues down the line). Thanks for your help!

Missing where you placed the ground wire. Was thinking there are probably several options, but being a noob, I thought it might be worth asking.

Oh yeah, just any factory bolt which is bolted to the frame (metal)

Can you do this for my model 3 if I buy the kit? I live in the Bay Area, thanks!

What happens if you push the emergency open button if the frunk is open? Does it close it?
