When one v one with the keeper, Michael Owen was probably one of the greatest of all time in that situation. Remember, Zidane, Figo, Nedved, Shevchenko, Raul, Rivaldo, Henry, Beckham, Totti, Del Piero, and so on, were all fit and at their peak when Owen won the Ballon d'Or, and he totally deserved it. An absolute forgotten great.

For 5 years or so Owen was on another level entirely. He was incredible. The pace and finishing ability he had was unreal.

Henchoz was such an underrated defender. He and Hyppia we're always reliable at the back for LFC!
This is why having a world class keeper is key ! That is what we need!

I used to love Owen but after watching this game I started to see something in Gerrard and I knew that he would be the LFC greatest since then.
This was the first match I watched and I know I'll be LFC fan since then.
Still excited to see these highlights in 2021!
