  • An in depth tutorial for drawing or painting stone and rocks, perfect for video games like League of Legends, Warcraft, and many other stylized games!
    We start with learning how to digitally paint stone texture. Painting stone in photoshop, procreate, clip studio, etc... is all roughly the same. We figure out the shape of the stone, then the colors we want, then we paint in the rough cracks and markings. Next we'll cover how to paint more interesting stone shapes, designs, and items like basic architecture and stone formations.
    Painting stylized rocks and stone can be challenging but my job is to help you along the way with these in-depth tutorials. We cover painting rock texture, how to draw rocks, how to carve runes into rocks, how to paint cracks in rocks, and all that fun stuff! LET'S PAINT SOME MAGIC ROCKS!

    I’m a total beginner at art and this has been INCREDIBLY helpful. I feel like a lot of tutorials forget that many things are not as obvious to beginner artists like they are to experienced ones. I was amazed seeing how you added the glowing effect to the rune, it’s so exciting! You explained everything very well in a way that’s not overly complicated but very easy to understand and follow. Thank you so much. I’m so grateful for this!

    When you set up a new file, what settings do you use? Width, Height, DPI, etc

    • @Gammatrap
      @Gammatrap  Před 2 lety

      Always set up for the end result. So if you're wanting a print, find out the size of print you want and scale it accordingly (with 300 dpi). My go-to is 16inches wide by 9inches tall at 300 dpi. This ratio is perfect for almost all screens
