Great men like him never die in spirit. He lives on in our hearts, our minds... and our dreams.

Just brilliant. He never skipped over a word and his timing was flawless. Also, his use of the English language in his humor was second to none.

One of my favorite comics from the 80's. Having been a former teacher, he had a very good command of the English language, and very good comedic timing. I was very sad, when I heard he had passed from cancer.

Loved Dennis Wolfberg back in the day and his amazing command of the language. Loved that he talked up to the audience and assumed they could follow his references and vocabulary all while keeping his set clean in terms of language yet overtly geared to so-called adult topics. My one dig at him back then was his transformation from being almost completely bald in the 80s to having a full head of hair in the 90s. Never understood men that did this and still don't when there is such widespread video evidence of the transformation. But love being able to see these great routines preserved.

glad i could share! i don't think there has ever been a funnier comedian, and he did it without swearing every other word like most comedians do these days.

Ditto to all that's been said about this guy. He's absolutely hilarious! I hadn't seen him in a long time and am so glad I rediscovered his comedy. Thanks zfishman for the upload!

Totally agree with your review of Dennis Wolfberg, who we had the pleasure of seeing live at a comedy club on Long Island, NY. It's a real treat to watch him work over the words!

Dennis Wolfberg was the cleaner equivalent of George Carlin, Alan King and Richard Pryor. He knew how to deliver quite funnily, without the obligatory cursing every other word, and the obvious racial epithets. I guess God needed a funny, clean comic.
RIP, Dennis. You were a man apart.

A unique talent. His material was a little thin but he got the most out of it with his unusual delivery and timing, and mastery of language.

That's like saying the opening to Beethoven's 5th is a little thin 4 (notes), but...
It's all about the cascading crescendos.

I had reason to revisit (again) his stuff today. I saw him on TV a number of times back in the day; he had ana absolutely memorable style. Too bad he passed away so young.

the way he avoided being straight-up dirty was what made him so funny. he did everything but flat out say dirty things - and the way he used his words to portray his scenes and stories was nothing short of brilliant. the funniest comedian i have ever heard and a sad loss at sucha young age. i wish i had more to post!

zfishman, thanks so much for sharing these. He was brilliant and original, and most of all, very funny. One of those few people who could walk out on stage and have you laughing before he ever uttered a word-

What an incredible talent. I was so sad when I learned he had passed away. His wife did set up a trust fund to help others. Check on the web, there are 2 different ones you can donaate to in his honor. I encourage everyone to donate a few dollars each to the memory of a great comedy act no longer with us.

Best use of facial expressions ever. Only Will Ferrell comes close.
