    EvenThough Trust is one of the scrum value, how to trust development team estimation in refinement sessions!? SM ,PO can never know if its more or less

    • @izenbridge
      @izenbridge  Před 2 měsíci +1

      If it is less , people will take more time , if it is more team will finish early, so the assumption is its collaborative and transparent system, where we estimate as plan and reality is going to be different but when we know reality we adapt. Scrum will not work where you have people who are lazy and hide information. If that is the case, you need to fix that problem first or use something else because scrum is not designed for that team. Scrum is founded on Trust

    As a Non technical scrum master ,how would I come to know team not giving wrong or false estimation . Also what are the ways I can find out the estimates are higher as compared to actual estimates ?

    • @izenbridge
      @izenbridge  Před 3 lety +1

      In general, if the team is not authentic and all have gaged with each other to ensure they fool management, I am not sure of any other solution than fixing the team since any manager/leader may lack the skill to find gaps. So the starting point is we fix the team why the given behaviour. In agile way of working we challenge team, we ensure they discuss with each other, team member challenge each other and we create transparent environment where things are visible. These things ensure people share what they know and start giving their best. So with daily scrum and visual boards you ensure everyone know how the difference between actual and estimates had yesterday and what should we do about it.

    I came across a question which said if one team member is estimating a user story very high and other is estimating very low then how do you handle such situation?

    • @izenbridge
      @izenbridge  Před 3 lety +2

      I think I need to make just two people speak to each other and make them understand each other perspective so they can agree to the complexity and size of work. Usually this happens when people make different assumption about the work and once they share their assumption and sometime it may need clarification from PO , they can agree on what is needed.
      If they are not willing to listen to each other than its not an estimation problem its a relationship and working together problem.

      If I take this like, what all skills and experiences can help me in getting Scrum Master job.
      I feel it starts with education so you know what all is needed to be a scrum master and once education is done one needs to develop skills and create opportunities.
      I suggest go though formal education of scrum master if not done already, doing Scrum Master certification can be the first step.
      We also run CSM class in case you wish to explore: www.izenbridge.com/certified-scrum-master/

    Q1 : If a customer wants something that can't be achieved, how will you overcome such a situation?
    Q2: you agreed upon something and started doing it, but later realised that it is wrong, what will you do?
