----------------------------
The Scenario is:

A. Engage with the end users to understand their concerns, provide information on the benefits of the change, and involve them in the transition planning.
B. Escalate the issue to senior management to force the transition through, emphasizing the project's completion.
C. Make a clear entry criterion for transitioning activities, and postpone the transition indefinitely until the end users are ready and fully supportive.
D. Along with some key stakeholders, engage with the end users to understand their concerns, and take support from stakeholders to provide information on the benefits of the change.
----------------------------------------------------
Right Answer and Explanation:

------------------------------------------------------
PMP Exam Content Outline Mapping
----------------------------------------------------------
People:
* Task 9 Collaborate with stakeholders
Business:
* Task 4 Support organizational change
-----------------------
Topics Covered
****************
• Transitioning Planning
• Supporting Change
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In this video, we dive into handling end user resistance during the transition of project deliverables, a crucial concept for the PMP exam. We'll explore different approaches and identify the best one according to PMP principles.
Key Concepts:
Option A: Engaging with end users to understand concerns, explain the benefits, and involve them in planning. This is a strong candidate but relies heavily on the project manager.
Option B: Escalating the issue to senior management. This is not ideal without a clear indication of necessity.
Option C: Setting entry criteria and postponing transition indefinitely. This might apply in contractual situations but isn't recommended without clear context.
Option D: Engaging with end users and key stakeholders to understand concerns and collaboratively provide information on benefits. This approach ensures broader support and aligns with organizational change management practices.
--------------------------------------
Domain and Task Focus:
--------------------------------------
1) People Domain Task-9: Collaborate with stakeholders for effective change support.
2) Business Domain Task-4: Focus on supporting organizational change, emphasizing the project manager's role in facilitating but not solely driving the change.
Understanding these concepts helps in managing transitions effectively and prepares you for the PMP exam. Remember, collaboration and clear communication with stakeholders are key to navigating resistance and ensuring successful project transitions.

    Is there a feedback cycle from customer in Waterfall , other than the one at the end - closure of Project ? Saket , Is there a video on complete Agile SDLC including documentation like Traditional PM approach ?

    • @izenbridge
      @izenbridge Před dnem

      Waterfall needs to be designed with feedback cycle, unlike Scrum , waterfall does not have certification or any recommendation so it depend on how we design. The PMP program helps in learning how to design a process which helps in delivery value.

    • @izenbridge
      @izenbridge Před 4 dny

      I think it depend on context, since Scrum does not recommend anything to do with Project, for scrum way of working team is always formed and ready and we bring work to team, but that work not necessary a project it should be a product. In project management the creating of Project is first thing and than we create team, product backlog in project context is complex since it may be in exist before you are doing second version of the existing product, or if you are doing first version , you may create after starting the project with project team . I think interviewer just wanted to see the approach of answer rather than a given answer

The project team has been informed of this change. What is the most effective course of action for the project manager to take? A. Review the project's design plans to ensure they comply with the new zoning law B. Update the project documentation to reflect the change in zoning laws and its impact on the project scope C. EvenThough Trust is one of the scrum value, how to trust development team estimation in refinement sessions!? SM ,PO can never know if its more or less

    • @izenbridge
      @izenbridge Před 9 dny

      If it is less , people will take more time , if it is more team will finish early, so the assumption is its collaborative and transparent system, where we estimate as plan and reality is going to be different but when we know reality we adapt. Scrum will not work where you have people who are lazy and hide information. If that is the case, you need to fix that problem first or use something else because scrum is not designed for that team. Scrum is founded on Trust

    1.Can we use Throughput (flow metric) of past sprint for better plannings (Since velocity is relative and does not help much) ? But Throughput (no of items closed) also varies based on volume of work , risk , dependencies etc - In this case how can it be used or forecasting and sprint planning accurately? 2. When we use Historical velocity data of Story Points , how to subtract the capacity (of team's non available hours ) for a better sprint planning as we dont have relation between capacity and velocity ?

    • @izenbridge
      @izenbridge Před 9 dny

      Throughput matrices is only used when you similar type of work, and usually the Kanban style , usually the sprint planning is done based on commitment. Sprint retrospective is for team work improvement, what was good about the sprint, what didn’t work and what can we do to improve it for next sprint. D should be the correct answer instead

    • @izenbridge
      @izenbridge Před 13 dny

      If you are preparing for PMP, my recommendation is to read the options , even if we go with Pure Scrum, it clearly adds the Product Owner to the Sprint Retrospective and also Scrum Includes Product Owner as part of Scrum Team and Sprint Retrospective is expected to improve Scrum Team , which includes PO. This is the reason i added the Option D to make learner clear about the question, all these questions and options are designed by us for improving clarity of concepts , I do recommend check the videos if not doing already since just reading the question is may not give the desired value, because i have clarified the same in video

    • @izenbridge
      @izenbridge Před 13 dny

      Yes its not the usual thing , and scrum does not have such things, when we have options in PMP exam, we need to select out of the available one and for that we need to get into fundamental solutions, say solution is collaboration, and then see which existing practice or new practice can solve it . This is the way we should our ability to do right tailoring or adaption in PMP exam.

    • @izenbridge
      @izenbridge Před 19 dny

      I think person want to see your approach , i would say why do we want to use Sprint in such case? mean does fix budget mean fix scope or fix capacity only, if its fix capacity we need to ensure whatever gets done in that time its good, so we prioritize, if its fix scope, we ensure we apply proper process to budget the changes.
