It's definitely helpful to hear perspectives from people who are truly spending time at the border, and not just on the U.S. side. I think many Americans are completely clueless about the reality. And frequently quite naive about the extensive level of terrible, organized crime that has grown to support the illegal immigration trade. If you care about taking a "humane" approach to immigration, then the single biggest "humane" thing we can do is shut down the immigration that is happening illegally. That's where the real cruelty is happening.
The next shoe to drop is China and their involvement in what's going on.
Bret Weinstein travelled to Panama recently to investigate the migration. It included large numbers of fighting age Chinese men. Hardly South Americans.
YEP! No illegal immigration, no human trafficking and greatly reduced drug’s smuggling!
Ya know?!🤔those🤑😈🤑 that did all the plannedeming for all the 🌏🌍🌎LY 'fun' weve been having for the past few years?! haven't stopped plotting and scheming, and it's likely some of these folks have their marching orders🪖aided and abetted by 🤑😈🤑
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out,..
does it!?😑
It is the U.S. government that is allowing this. The Cartel is being supported by the CIA.
These individuals don’t look malnourished nor in terrible shape as we might think after going through the long journey of going through the jungle. I think some people are facilitating and channeling this.
They are being helped and funded by NGOs and Catholic Charities. Please stop donating to those groups.
The Illegals are being shipped to Wherever!! There are even reports of busses filled with Illegals being lost in the Woods of Arkansas and other places. It truly puts this country in great Jeopardy with regards to our Safety.
Be afraid.
Not just the USA. This is happening in all the western world countries, for want of a better term. Europe, Australia - we're all dealing with this global problem.
its the jews
You are the illegal one, did your ancestors asked natives permission to use their land?
It's because of the UN agreements our western leaders have signed up to.
I learnt absolutely nothing from this.
Then you are far more familiar with the details of the issue than most.
Especially not numbers.
How many have crossed in a year?
8 million?
The elephant in the room is the remain in Mexico policy, that trump negotiated with the president of Mexico.. What did Biden do, may 2023 abolished the policy. Another fact not mentioned was the Biden administration law suits against Texas governors barbed wire across the river. It's all by design.. Migrants = votes. Why are the Democrats against voter ID.
@@bsmithhammerI've heard that line many times during the plandemic lock downs.
On the contrary, you learned all manner of false facts.
According to Grillo
(a) Republicans pounce! They keep the issue alive because they want to run on it.
(b) Opposition to the Invasion elected a GOP President in 2016, but no one has engaged in any discussion of "asylum" fraud.
etc.
I don't understand paying $15,000 to be smuggled into America. Many americans can't even save up $15K, and definitely not our poor. If you can save up that much it feels like you'd be in a position to do better where you live. What am I missing?
The extent of the squalor these people are leaving
@rocketpig1914 I get how awful it us there. But when 50% of Americans can't afford a $400 emergency, but you can save $15K to come illegally and join the American poor there seems to be a mismatch somewhere here
I don't know, but I suspect that they owe the Cartel this money; they don't have it and don't pay up front. Then they have to sell drugs or be sold into prostitution to make that money to pay the debt. A prostitute can earn 1000 a night for the pimp, but of course there are expenses - drugs for instance, to keep her docile. How much of that money that is credited to her debt is questionable.
@@baustin11111 It's an investment for them. Most will have dreams of sending their kids to college and buying property here one day.
@TheFirstManticore that's horrifying, and if life has taught me anything it's also probably accurate
Brett Weinstein on Tucker said that there are 2 migrations...an organized economic family migration is possibly a smoke screen covering an organized migration of military aged Men...Bret is pretty moderate
Bret is working for the anti-China faction of the oligarchy. Military age men usually means construction workers.
His report was incredible. He spoke to people and gave his observations and hypothesis. I thin k he is right. It's more like an invasion where UN, NGOs and USA are all collaborating. And the reason is more votes.
I'll bet Bret Weinstein can't even find our border on a map. Try a better source of information, like _North from Mexico: The Spanish-Speaking People of the United States_ by Carey McWilliams et al.
Living under a rock? @@realtijuana5998
@@realtijuana5998 Taking that bet would be easy money, but you're not actually offering it to anyone are you?
Is that you, Carey?
The way your corespondent, Mr Grillo, pronounces Spanish terms is pretentiously fake and his grasp of the essential issues is ham-handed. Very annoying to listen to. His contributions here have only muddled the issues.
What we really could use from the journalistic world is an investigation into how refugees from Central America pay for their transit to the Rio Grande. They can't afford their caravans and the timing of those caravans is such to produce maximum chaos amongst the border goons and immigration courts … almost as if there were an invisible hand behind it all. Let's follow the money.
I know this is maybe not the most appropriate question, but I mean it seriously. If you're paying $15,000 to be smuggled overland into the US illegally, can't you just buy some good looking new clothes and luggage and book yourself a nice vegas resort, and enter the U.S on a holiday visa? And then when you're there, just leave the hotel and make your way wherever you want? Just skip the whole cartel-chaperone idea? I mean maybe that's happening too, and they just can't stop that either - not sure. I'd definitely try a different route though, and you'd think for $15,000 there'd be better options on the table.
A lot of things get conflated when talking about immigration. People like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Melania Trump did, as you suggest, come in illegally as tourists. People from Mexico and Central America don't have the money to pull off a tourist visa, though. Mexicans typically rely on family in the US to pay their freight. Recent Central American immigration something I haven't seen before -- I've been living along the border since 1960 and have worked closely with undocumented immigrants from Argentina, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Mexico. There's something very odd going on with Central American immigration these days, something no one in the media has addressed yet.
@@realtijuana5998 They're not "undocumented immigrants". They're illegals.
If u from Latin America u probably need to apply for a tourist visa. The embassy will interview you & can reject if they see you as a potential migrant.
If you are from Europe u don’t need a visa.
@ln6593 people from Europe still need a tourist visa

When people are coming from China they aren’t asylum seekers, they are either at the best economic refugees or the worst little Trojan horses. I don’t know anyone who isn’t aware of the legal difference and that asylum is only valid at the first safe country. Mexico could help by stopping the flood at they’d southern border. Any issues that are suddenly - in lockstep - effecting Western nations, need to be analysed in that way.
I don't believe global forces have any interest whatsoever in stopping mass migration - or excess mortality for that matter.
What's *actually* going on here?
According to credible citizen journalists who have done the actual work of visiting the migration routes and interviewing migrants and their facilitators, what this is about is flooding 1st-world countries with as many people from 3rd-world nations as possible while complicit governments are in power. Why? apparently to permanently shift the balance of political power and also to flatten out global economic inequality (for everyone but those in charge of course).
First, lose the idea of "global forces" if you don't want to be regarded as a loon.
Indeed!
@@gandydancer9710
I guess that depends on *who* is regarding you as a loon.
If it's someone who regarded anyone who thought a viral lab origin was highly plausible as a loon...
Or that the vx wasn't stopping transmission...
Or that global lockstep lockdowns were an obviously bad idea...
Or that intelligence services were tracking and censoring "covid dissidents"...
Or that naturally acquired immunity was a thing...
Or that rolling out a vx with only 2 months of safety data was a serious risk, and should *obviously* not be given to (let alone forced on) young healthy people or pregnant women.
I wonder what 'forces' were at play that led to these loony ideas being taken up by almost every western nation?
It's the UN agreements western governments have signed. The UNs IOM (international organisation of migration) that is assisting large numbers of Chinese men to cross the US southern border. I agree this is happening in every western country and it's not an accident.
This startet when quiet quitting and the working class startet to get traction on the miniumun wage debate. This is to pit the working class against eachother.
Thank you Freddie , I'm not sure about this interview . Something isn't right
The benefits that are given to migrants has to affecting their choices. Free board, food, healthcare education, being paid for by US tax payers
Spain just voted to give illegals free healthcare.
So basically letting these immigrants in encourages and finances the drug trade and creates internal security issues. I’d suggest that closing the border and changing asylum law makes sense
I’m surprised Freddie. This guest falls short of your usually scrupulous reporting. Lots of generalizations, anecdotal ideas, and thin details. Nothing verifiable at all. Many words and little corroborating evidence. Nothing he said couldn’t be learned from a cursory internet search.
Agree and it's also clear that he doesn't understand the situation in the US very much at all.
@@JoanneLeonI think he understands it pretty well in essence when he says nothing has been done to change the legal framework because both parties have incentives to sit on their hands while making a lot of campaign noise. The last comprehensive immigration reform dates back to Reagan and it's not like the GOP haven't had majorities in Congress and presidents in the WH since then.
Why because he didn't said what you want to hear.😂 Americans are funny that is why you can't fix your addiction and immigration. You don't want to hear the truth
parroting the official democratic line is not real journalism
It's truly disheartening to witness governments repeatedly addressing only the symptoms of the migration crisis, rather than addressing the underlying issues. When you consider that monthly minimum wages in Latin America barely scrape $330, the grim reality of needing 46 months without spending a dollar for food, shelter or services just to gather enough funds for human smugglers becomes painfully clear.
Many of these individuals, cannot get US visas, and have no choice but to venture navigating through Mexico and Latin America for entry. Yet, the silence surrounding the efforts (or lack thereof) from their countries of origin and governments to tackle this crisis is deafening. People from all over the globe are forced to use countries like Ecuador, Colombia, and Panama as launching points for their migration journeys.
The desperation driving these individuals is undeniable, and witnesses can attest to the immense hardships they endure. Yet, as this crisis unfolds, the predominant strategy seems to be focused on blocking traffic and repelling migrants, which only worsens the situation by increasing the demand for ruthless smuggling services and heightening both financial and human costs.
What's particularly distressing is that we all suffer from the disproportionate growth of this problem. It's the migrants and the communities affected by these massive migrations who bear the brunt of the consequences. We are all impacted, and there is little reason for optimism regarding a quick solution to this complex issue.
It's my hope that more rigorous investigative efforts will be directed toward understanding the root causes of this global phenomenon. Additionally, there must be increased oversight, support, and accountability placed on governments that turn a blind eye to these pressing issues and evade responsibility for the consequences of their inaction. These people deserve better, we deserve better and meaningful change is long overdue.
Desperation is no justification for breaking the law, just as poverty does not cause crime. This is a crucial understanding. The wealthy, successful nations of the world have no obligation to solve the economic woes of people in dysfunctional states. Especially if that means helping them break the law accomplish it. The end does not justify the means.
@@geraldarcuri9307 I appreciate your perspective on the importance of upholding the law and ensuring accountability for those who break it. It's crucial to recognize that individuals caught in immigration challenges are often not just part of the problem, but also victims of systemic injustices and abuse.
Our differing opinions seem to center around the idea of relinquishing responsibility as developed nations. In the context of Latin America, there's a complex history where developed nations have benefited from the resources and people of these regions. While we may not fully agree on the extent of the impact of these historical actions, the evidence of their consequences is substantial and often unfavorable to those affected.
It's undeniable that much of North America's GDP growth over the past five decades has been heavily influenced by foreign investment and trade agreements that favored developed economies. To address this situation, we cannot afford to ignore or deny this historical record and its implications.
I strongly believe that we must shift our approach from merely dealing with the symptoms to addressing the root causes of migration. This often requires acknowledging and tackling the underlying issues in the migrants' countries of origin. By doing so, we can work towards a more just and sustainable solution for all involved.
Yea, lol just make that country another state of US
I get the impression that this is like a game of chicken between the two political parties neither one wants to compromise and pass a bipartisan immigration bill to fix things thus greatly helping the guy in charge. That's why it never gets fixed and the opposing party gets to blame everything on whoever is in the white house.
I am curious as to why the word "crisis" is bandied about whenever immigration is discussed.
The immigration issue has been going on for decades with valid arguments both for and against immigrants coming into the US.
Something that has been going on for decades, without really having much of an impact one way or the other on the overall economy can hardly be called a crisis. There are pockets that are adversely impacted, but the millions of immigrants that have come into the US over the last several decades have hardly crashed the economy. In fact, one could argue that the additional workers grow the economy by increasing demand and that, in general, they produce a lot more than they are being paid for.
Anyway, it would be nice if someone can explain why they think it's a crisis. It will be difficult because it isn't a crisis.
You can't be serious. What part of the world are you from? Anywhere near a big US city? Though that's not the only area affected it's the most obvious.

Great interview!!! I think you're absolutely right. Mexico is not doing its part. A border by definition consists of two parts, two countries in this case. Mexico is playing a dangerous game by changing its approach to the problem depending on who is in the White House. It is time for the United States government to remind Mexico that it must live up to its responsibilities or face the consequences. Mexico has an agreement with Canada and the United States. If it does not comply with its obligations, it is time to review this agreement and apply sanctions. Not only in the immigration problem, but also drug production and trafficking.
Stop the flow of arms coming into Mexico, tell your citizen to stop being drug addicts and funding the cartels.
Just like America doesn’t do anything to stop its population on consuming drugs , money laundering for cartels, hire all the cheap labor, or stop guns going across the border. America should also get sanctions.
All governments are technically armed gangs, but many are worse than others. The people of a country or nation must act to prevent their own governments from being downright thugs. At the same time, it seems even the USA cannot turn a country full of formerly oppressed people into self governing ones.
It seems to me that eventually though, the good countries need to liberate the land from the thugocracies. Yet, we cannot even do this in the USA, where we get failed cities (Detroit) and failing states (Mississippi). We need a system where sovereigns lose land without warfare.
"Thugocracy." 👍 Excellent description.

The CCP is a member of NATO. They are in charge of NATO's migration program. This program has stations set up in South America that is handing out prepaid visa cards to the immigrants along the route. How do you think they are showing up down there in new clothes. Or how do you think this army is moving at all.
The UN is also heavily involved. Their IOM (international organisation of migration) is assisting people from all over the place even China.
Why don't you come to the states and look for yourself.

People should only be able to claim asylum if they are fleeing a nation that the UN has declared to be a failed state. If a state is not a failed state, then it should be able and willing to take care of its own people.
UN has no credibility
The problem is America is the reason that many of these places in the Middle East are failed states . Libya was prosperous until Obama blew the heck out of it.
Everyone loves America and wants to live here but we can only handle so many people
The numbers are tiny ehen compared with the migrant waves in Europe
The issue why the judiciary isn't enforcing the concept that you need to claim asylum in the first safe country is not that the American public isn't aware. It is that both the American public and the judiciary is divided between being pro-immigration and anti-immigration. For folks that are pro-immigrant, (leftists, classical libertarians, globalist, capitalists seeking to drive down cost of labor, etc) asylum is just a useful tactic, rather than being a moral principle. Then there are bleeding heart pro-asylum folks, that basically feel that moving folks from bad place to better is a good. Then there are anti-immigration folks who see asylum as just a convenient ruse, that in almost all cases these immigrants are purely economic migrants, or at best that accepting the concept of asylum effectively encourages regimes to be brutal and for folks to flee as oppose tyranny. And that migration just lets regimes off the hook for thier idiotic and ineffective economic policies.
And truth in advertising, I'm in the anti-immigration camp, despite being mainly a libertarian in favor of free movement of goods, capital, and labor. One of my differences from classical libertarian thought is that in our current imperfect world, that effectively current citizens have ownership in their country, its institutions, and its public property. And that migration rights should be sold at free market prices, rather than being used by some groups's for their benefit and for other groups's detriment free of charge.
Surely both of these things are happening, right? Economic immigrants (some claiming to be asylum seekers) and legit asylum seekers. The world is a complicated place.
@@iAmEhead Sure, but step back from specific cases and look at the overall effect. I'm sure that some judges are trying to interpret the law as written. But other are trying to interpret the law to the best benefit of "their side", and what they think is the morally "right" decision. The world is complicated, but folks have opinions, and those opinions may be based on moral reason, ethics, legalities, pragmatics. And they might consider primary effects, secondary, or ultimate effects.
I'm not American but I've seen credible reports of Chinese and Middle Easterners travelling to the US southern border, I don't think the US will be the first safe country these people have passed.
No. Americans are not anti-immigration. We're against illegal immigration and against being flooded with many millions of people, against the massive drug smuggling and crime. This isn't a partisan issue anymore. Look at the polls. There's a consensus across the political spectrum (the people not the politicians). Some 93% think it's a problem, last poll I saw.
Most Americans don’t have $15,000. WTF?
The average non-white person in the US has less than 15,000 in savings according to recent statistics. Average skewed by better off, more educated, and so on...not the median number. I'm guessing there are just as many poor white psople though...probably would have to go to median numbers instead.

If Mexico cannot fix their own country, these Latin countries cannot fix their own country. What do you think happens when they come here?
The president needs to work in the interest of America. Mercy, Humanity, and sanctuary are works of clergymen, and priests, not the President of the USA.
Incredibly shallow reporting.
This guy might have a good idea of what's going on in Mexico and Latin America but he doesn't have the first clue about the situation in America. It's not just activists or political affiliation - there is literally a consensus among all Americans that this is a crisis and a serious national security issue. It's not just bluster, far from it. There definitely is a huge number of fake or exaggerated asylum claims. He mentions nothing about the prolific immigration lawyer trade and NGOs, where migrants are coached on what to say, where to go, etc. He also says hardly anything about the massively corrupt Mexican government/cartel. Lastly, I'd like to see some numbers on his claims about wealthy Americans migrating to Mexico. I'm pretty sure that it's not a significant number. It's not exactly the safest place in the world to live.

Big time.
Yup
Explain.
Not true at all.
These two are talking gibberish
It’s “illegal immigrant”
There are three important things to note about immigration.
First. Immigration is good to keep demographic values up: high tech countries use to have less children and after a while loose their competitivness. Immigrants compensate and keep statistics happy.
Two. Immigrants vote for parties that helped them move in. So democratic party uses immigrants to increase their ellectorate. One can argue it's an illegal way to get votes.
Three. Rich countries use immigrants as cheap labour, because domestic citisens don't like to clean the streets or mine coal. They go to college instead. So immigration is a bit like volantary slavery.
Thus said even if republicans base their election campaign on tightening immigration laws it would take a paradigm shift to really change something about immigration.
