Hey there, please could you explain why they held rope with carabine in their mouth? Was it when they boarded the plane they then after being above dropzone placed it out of the mouth and hooked onto the "jumping down" thingy?

I am not a reenactor but I am a painter and am currently working on painting FJ6 miniatures. I currently painted the bulk of my regiment with two-tone yellow and green helmets but is it true that the entire regiment did not do this?

It’s an original holster, putting leather dressing on it will deteriorate it.
