  • Sturm does not make uniforms anymore. These old repro's can be found if you look for a while.
    If they are well aged you can achieve a nice ''been there'' look without any weathering.

    I was fortunate enough to buy a Janke made Fleigerbluse almost fifteen years ago ! I’d recommend them to everyone if they weren’t so expensive and obscure.
    The Sturm Fleigerbluse is an excellent choice , I’ve had one before that I tailored, aged and replaced all buttons and insignia with original examples, afterwards you couldn’t recognize that it was a Sturm reproduction, it looked and felt like an original !
    Great video, sir, I always enjoy seeing what you’re up to.

    I was lucky to purchase some Elsenau items, not sure if they’re still making anything at the moment. Their website has been down for months.

    The air force tunics looks very similar to the M1915s the Germans were issued in WW1.

    Question about the collars, how do you get the open collar look? I cant seem to find any information about how to do that. I have an M36 and it doesnt really do the open collar look that you see in late war uniforms

    • @dergrenadier
      @dergrenadier  Před 10 měsíci

      Soak the uniform in lukewarm water. Press the collar down the way you like it and let it dry. Also works for al wool manupilation like shaping caps and stretching pockets

      @@chrishansen4541 they have nice insignia. Their uniforms are gavin but custom ordered. So for example the trousers are longer which is more correct than you would get from gavin directly. Depends on what you get for the rest

      Yes. Because they functioned as normal fighting units later in the war.
