"The secret to Porsche's success is not the number of horses, but how well trained they are."
Really really well-said.
I guess im asking randomly but does any of you know a way to log back into an Instagram account??
I somehow forgot my account password. I appreciate any help you can offer me
@Khari Ezekiel instablaster =)
" the secret is not the number of horses but how well trained they are"...I like that. Auto journalist creativity at it's finest. Enjoyed the video.
Just stopping by to remind everyone that Elana is awesome.
..YES Elana does a great job! She is Awsome!
Yes, She Sure Is...this is the first time I'm seeing her. Great review.
Good, expressive descriptions that are
well put for me. No one else, in all the other reviewers, ever even mentioned that all important feature that I didn't know was there.. and that would be VERY HELPFUL to keep the front from scraping..and in case you forgot...the car didn't! I love it. And I hope to see her review the faster cars..those are the only ones I'm choosing from. This Porsche Turbo S 4S or the GTC4LussoV12.
BC I have to have bothe. It imperative!!
Elena, If you haven't been told lately please allow me.
Your reporting of vehicles is outstanding.
You don't fake it. You know your auto-geek stuff.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👍
This is the first review I've ever seen with this young lady and I think she is fantastic! I've never been a fan of the 911, but she makes me want to buy one.
Elana, you're one of my favorite reviewers! I literally laugh at least 10x whenever you host a video.
Not gonna lie, Elena is the reason I clicked on/watched this video! She is great in an approachable, quirky, funny and realistic way. Keep it up, Elena!
Elana taking me back to school with the outfit, story time, and educating on this 911. She is awesome!
About time Elana gets to drive something other than a mommy mobile. And whoever had me in the pool to comment that i want a cut.
*My fav 911, such a beautiful looking car, but the gts version with the matt black wheels and roof will look even better!!* 👍
Delightful car and delightful reviewer. It's wonderful to hear an articulate person review cars. Makes it much more enjoyable!
absolutely amazing review
Oh boy. ..am I glad I found you!
That "programmable" nose Lift is dasdardly important and what a joy that it can be SET for particular places!! THAT'S OUTSTANDING! I don't recall the GTC4LussoV12 Driver Suspension Lift having that extra feature...which is ever so helpful.
I love this Porsche too. In the Turbo 4S Manual .... I had a manual before..but I haven't tried the paddles yet. I may like it.
Very down to earth and common sense review. thank you.
Great review!
Great video! A day in the Santa Monica mountains in a Porsche 911 sounds like a dream.
Great review. 911's truly are wonderful machines. Haven't seen a review of your's before but I like your wit and humor so great job!
Great review. My goodness first chick to absolutely NAIL a car review. Good job
Great review
Yah. I like you!! I like your presentation and chouce of descriptive wording. You just hit the nail in the head for me..all thru the video.
And you are so correct...and I couldn't agree more with your assessment/summation at the end. Thank you.
She's a great host.
Elana is beautiful, and so is the car. But the car's price is outrageous.
7 speed manual transmission ..... Awesome!!!!!!!! best looking since the 550 Spider
Very good review
I'm watching this again. Fantastic body and chassis.
Who thought of Chandler Bing when she called the shifter a nubbin. Ha. Really good review!
Very *Well Done* .
Yay Elana!
Elana, you never talked while driving with the top off. I read with the top off and the windows up the buffeting noise is terrible, it only gets better with the windows down.
This looks SO much better than the 4S press car in Yellow w/ Black Targa Bar. Thanks, Elana, another good one.
Awesome review 👍...I'm a huge Honda products fan and Porsche products fan
YES yes kick ass ! I was laughing at your "LA" driving comment... so true. People were confused b/c you actually stop at a stop sign.
I recognized Tuna Canyon Road and a couple other roads in this video :)
Nice, you look good in it
Like the nail polish matching the car.
Love how your nails are Gentian Blue (Enzianblau) also.
Elena is great!
Thanks
it's just about perfect, other than the fact that I can't even remotely afford it (or even afford to look at it).
if it weren't for Elana, i wouldn't even be watching this video.
What up with the wheel gap tho? Shipping blocks still installed?
That top actuation is beautiful!! Please stop to operate! Can you step back with the fob and just watch?? Thanks
The simple solution to the problem putting the top down is to never put it up! Nice video, thanks.
She's great
2:32 I’m curious what his shift quality is like.
If You're going to the Porsche's dealership You do not complain about options cost. You're just customizing Your dream car. You pay for the best, You get the best.
Did you let hubby try 2020 Accord 2.0T?
I tend to split hairs and criticize the Targa for being relatively heavy. But Ms. Scherr makes a persuasive argument. She's terrific, BTW.
What I like about the 911 - Very well engineered car, handles well, nice drive, very sporty, hold value pretty decent for higher end car.... What I dont like? it looks like a 2010, 2011 2012 etc... You can hardly tell them apart. They are fairly common, not very rare. Not as many as corvettes on the road, but I do see 911's all the time.
are you "wishing you could be" driving this to impress others or because its one of the best looking ,longest heritage and one of the best engineered cars ever made?
thank god they don't make them look like modern, suvish garbage with high doors, small glass and short fat stature.(im talking to you ford,gm,chrysler, honda, toyota etc)
new car styling =poke in the eye with a pitchfork
I’ve lived my entire life (71) without driving a Porsche. At this point I’m hoping for reincarnation.
My lady, this car is perfection. The only reason we criticize this is because we don’t feel like we are worth so much luxury and style. That was deep, sorry.
Never been a fan of the Targa version of the 911 (nothing satisfies like the Turbo S but that’s just me) but this one is actually pretty decent looking.
Maybe I’m projecting here as a GTI owner, but when Elana said “they didn’t just slap on an all wheel drive system to try to hide an imbalance” was that a shot at the golf R? Haha
yes
Luther V on your radio. I knew I liked your car reviews. I had a 997 new off the lot new when they were affordable. Now I just can't see myself paying $150K for any car which means they are no longer for me.
With the the top down, it looks like the rear window would uncomfortably block the wind.
Ha Ha, I love Elana. 😁
An Elana and Lynn from KBB colab would be excellent...Gear Girls or something?
great review of a great car, but for me price the issue. it should have more power for that price.
Title says “4S” but she is reviewing the “4”...
I only came here for the sarcasm and the corny jokes.
Have Targas always tucked the roof away like Speedsters? Always thought the roof just popped off and you toss it behind the seats. The mechanical feat of Speedster conversion is what cooled the appeal of them, now it is just rear window or fiberglass cowl and some weight reduction in the choice between the 2. The Speedster might win by a fuzz, the rear window being close would help the car heat up or cool in the cabin, like how a single cab truck does by less volume, and even if it is not worth more, the Speedster is more rare, and has a interesting look, like a v12 is back there, but thank gosh, it is pushbutton convertible, and a v6 or less cranking a PDK or Gated tooth maze. The rear seats would really help on insurance, Roadsters get gouged, even though less occupant responsibility...strange.
Why are 911s at near $100k? Are they really worth that much or are they just making room for the 718 Cay/Box...which those have shot above their value price bracket too...
I'm I the only who thinks the 718 Boxster is the better looking one out of the bunch.
Elana prob disappointed it doesn't have a 440 in front
There is a quite obvious explanation why the Roof does not operate whilst Driving: That Mechanism is simply too „fragile“ to allow perfect Fit and stability when e.g crossing bumps or uneven Roads such as Crossroads. Porsche wanted to go safe not to damage the filigrane mechanism; simple as that.
Besides why not mention that Porsche did NOT manage to get rid of that uncomfortable Wind-Noise resulting from the Roof-Construction, even after installing a new 2-step manual Wind-Deflector; pity that; Reason would be there is simply no Space to install a new Bigger deflector due to using exactly the same Roof as in the predecessor 991.
Still a lovely Car, yet i love my Gen2 991 Targa 4S, thinking it still looks better, sounds better and has less plastic-Parts on Front and Rear.
Why doesn't the 911 generations go in order?!🤔
The internal design numbers are used for all Porsche designs. not just the cars, so even though there have been less than generations of the car, they used up almost all the other 9xx numbers on other projects, most of which never saw the light of day.
@@epbrown01 but home come they're all over the place?
@@trewebster5884 They aren't, really. The numbers went in order until the 996, and they realized they only had 3 left. They're re-using 99x numbers that weren't used for 911s, so they stole 991 and 992 from old projects. They can't re-use 993 because that was the 4th 911. 994 was a 3rd-gen 911 turbo. The 995 was a Porsche 928 design test never released, so I suspect they'll re-use that one. Then we're down to 998 and 999, since the 996 and 997 are 5th and 6th gen 911s.
@@epbrown01 oohhhhh. I was really curious about it and I've always wondered why they were all over the place. It makes it confusing to remember. But appreciate it
be prepared
Why dont people go to Germany to buy this car, you can buy it for a fraction of the price as they are made there.
5:02 ah yes the "boarmeister" stereo
LIttle nubbins never look like much fun but they always feel good.
Nice car but I like toyota thumbs up if you agree
This made the 911 less mysterious for a car noob
So you don’t feel the shifts with a manual? LMFAO
Less shifts required for a 5 speed paired with a torquey engine
CVT to the rescue❗️🤪But now they program fake gear shifts in CVT's 🤣
No, you can’t get a Civic from Honda with anywhere near that much horsepower.
Not stock, but EASILY modified with relatively inexpensive aftermarket parts. No need to go crazy to get a sizeable boost in perf.
Did she need the helmet for a public road? 🤷♂️
I really don't get why Porsche keeps re-releasing the Targa. Like T-tops, it was developed when car makers thought the US would outlaw convertibles. Targas haven't made sense since 1983, when the cabriolet came out. The brushed roll bar looks wrong on something modern with no chrome/steel accents. And as far as I can tell, they hardly sell any.
It's beautiful to me 🤷🏾♂️
Jason Hall You’re generous. I‘ve owned a 1980s targa. My dream Porsche is a vintage swb targa, black with houndstooth interior. But I never thought of them as good-looking.
@@epbrown01 My dream Porsche is a GT3RS
It's freaking gorgeous 😍😍
I would let this car run me over..ok ill wait until the GTS..lol
You want no roof , then move to Lebanon.
This car looks long in this format.
yeah, the backside (aft the roll bar) is too long...
1:12 wheels are too big - starting to look like a clown car. It's now at 21 inch wheels, what's next 24 inch wheels? It's getting a bit ridiculous now. Furthermore, you can't even drive it anywhere away from your house because if you get an unrepairable flat you will be stuck wherever you are for the next three days because nobody will have one in stock. Total nightmare.
my only complaints are "stupid"
If someone would put a gun to my head and say you have to buy a 911 - I would only lick this one. 911 I am not a fan of! Too douchy because of the unjustifiable sticker price
The Top is so slow.... 👎
Perfect shoes for a ‘real’ sport car...
Oh wait, automatic, guess the long heels would do.
Can you get a worse set of roads for your video. Dust and shite is never cool. Just let the car be clean please.
porsche died in 1995.
No, you just didn't figureout the most important thing with Porsche 911: they are absolutely "interesting" cars.
How can you call McLaren more "interesting" than Porsches?
All these stupid McLarens are fucking expensive, and cost 50% more than a Porsche base version vehicle. McLarens are the most overrated fucking expensive sports cars, which have major flaws!
Porsche sports cars are almost bullet proof. British hand built and 50% more expensive sports cars with tons of build quality flaws, I wouldn't call them "more interesting" than a Porsche 911... Which can be also a 911 Turbo S, which literally destroys the fastest "down to earth" McLaren, the 720 S.
This lady is talking crap at the end of this video!
Daily error code generator she means. no one buys these cars any more. Lease maybe. But buy? Hardly . So sad too.. If the Germans would make this car as reliable as a Toyota or Honda, they would dominate the planet!!
grabir01 Porsche’s are some of the most reliable in the marketplace. What issues are you referring to?
But over on planet “A” those of us who have actually owned 911’s know they are built like a bank vault and as reliable as trumps fake spray tan.
idiot with zero perspective.........shut it
grabir01 it is sad to be so misinformed and ignorant ...
Toyota and Honda? Lmao. Those are the cars you buy if you can’t afford real cars like Porsche, Mercedes, BMW etc.
no offence to the house wife but she alone does not want to make me buy one
She would be better suited for dodge caravan
why a grandma driving a porsche
Darn, thought it was the new Targa 4S review and then I see Stacy Abrams, who owed $54,000 in federal back taxes and held $174,000 in credit card and student loan debt. Yet she graduated from law school in 2010 as an attorney and both parents have/had Masters Degrees.
Ya, I want her managing my government's money!
During the 2018 Georgia gubernatorial election, she donated $50,000 to her own campaign. Cleaned that up fast, then, In 2019, she completed payment of her back taxes to the IRS in addition to other outstanding credit card and student loan debt reported during the gubernatorial campaign. Talk about living off the government Stacy, just put that new C4S Targa which is great on your credit cards.
So, you liked the car?
