I had it for lunch today with limited ingredients- poha, salt, sugar, onion, turmeric, sesame seed, peanut, ghee last in mix...it tasted heavenly!
Sugar too?
@@Dr_Bindhu Sugar was mentioned in the video though.
This is my favourite thing I literally can have this in every meal.
same yarr 😘😘😘😘I also love it
The combination of coconut and coriander is what gives the taste a lift!
and also Sev
This was so good! Layers of flavor and textures - instant favorite
Thank-you so much for mentioning the salt quantity. Salt is a game-changer for any dish and for someone who is new to cooking, guessing the quantity of 'salt to taste' is pretty frustrating.
Yeah exactly
Uh huh huh and molly y el que tu uh oh and muskaan

Awesome superb taste like Maharashtrian poha
Perfect and same like my Aaye(Mom)
Avoid the sugar and soak the poha for 30 secs only. I tried 2 mins and it literally became upma 😂
😂😂😂
Lol same here😂😂🤪
You are right
Dont soak.. just put the poha in strainer and pour water on it. Make sure u cover the whole poha with water
That's the poha uppuma of Maharashtrains. They simply call it kantha poha.we southies call it uppuma
Mind blowing taste.. really yummy n delicious
Very nicely and in shortest possible time you explained Kanda Poha recipe. Thanks for sharing this recipe for the viewers and beginners in the cooking field.
Thank you for the recipe. Will try it out
your recipes are amazing no doubt.. but being a maharashtrian and we eat this almost everyday here's a tip. never stir the poha too much that it starts breaking.. in this video.. there was too much stiring which made it into lumps.. each and every grain of beaten rice should be visible..
Its in fast forward mode
I have become a better cook after watching your recipes, it's amazing and morning breakfast has been healthy. Thanks Hebbars kitchen for showing such wonderful and Easy to make recipe
Thank you Chef, for the easy and simple recipe, I didn’t follow the first instruction and the poha was soaked in water for half hour, but still I managed to cook it as per the recipe, I enjoyed it and I am waiting for my daughters response. Thank you once again, it was very easy and a simple recipe.
She had said two minutes .
What is Poha? Is it stacked Rice ? In English please
@@manelperera4337 Flattened Rice
Its Avalakki uppittu in Karnataka... though few parts of the state might change slightly in either addition or deletion of few ingredients..never the less its same😉
Thanks for sharing this receipe.
Avlakki uppit thay won't add Potatoes
Hi it may sound funny but I followed your recipe and cook this dish Mediterranean/Turkish style (with extra-virgin olive oil and garnished with feta cheese and parsley on top), I didn’t have the curry leaves so i added Rosemary and oregano instead. All in all, it was delicious
Glad you liked it
Quick and tasty recipe 👍👍👍👌😃
Today I tried... yummy recipe... thank you ❤️
I’m punjabi but poha is my favourite dish I make same way but different ingredients no sugar no coconut or sesame seeds but I want to try your way looks very delicious 😋 thanks for sharing 🥰❤️👌👍
Most Welcome
Wowww love pohaa
Beautiful. Tried it today for breakfast.🙏
One of the best channels to teach Indian cuisine... the fake stirring in the end of every shot gets me everytime 🤣 but, the content is so good. Diverse! Love the no nonsense approach to demonstrate a recipe. Brilliant angle as well!
Every Sunday i prepare poha for breakfast because it served hot everybody like the poha thank you hebbars kitchen for 😋 recipe
We never add salt and sugar at such an early stage, only when it is cooking...Maharashtrian moms make the best poha! 😊
That's true
I like pove
Thankyou dear archana💐👌
Thank you for recipe..it turned out great..
Same as I'm make Kanda poha superb
I am maharashtrian. We don't make just like this. Specifically no need of soaking for 2 mins. Just pour water and immediately drain it off. No need of adding sugar and salt after draining water.
Later while cooking we can add salt sugar. Hing also we r not using.

Neither mustard oil
Woooo Di kitna testy hai
Nice. Even I prepare poha the same way
I should try this. Looks tasty.
aap apki cooking se pura india ko ek karte ho archana didi😘😘
I made it yesterday and came out to be super tasty . Thank you
Pretty good recipe. I followed this and it tastes good! 😊 Just make sure to adjust soaaking timing as per thickness of your poha. May require less or more than 2 mins.
Instead of soaking poha, you can simply wash it in colander itself. And instead of mixing coriander and grated coconut, you can garnish the rrady pohe with it.
Also added sugar n salt in wet poha.actually salt n sugar added at last in Maharashtra (my state)
Shraddha Tayade Nasane exactly! :)
Made it today. Great recipe. Thank you.

I made this and it tasted very good. I believe this is a Marathi dish and we Bengalis are not used to cooking poha like this. So it was new to us. Thanks for sharing.
Too good🌹
Nice.... I like the way you saw how to cook..
Love this receipe.... People add so many veggies in poha....but this is the ultimate one... adding other veggies changes its taste...my mother in law add Shimla mirchi, carrot, tomato onto this...its good....but Kanda poha has to be like this one only
