Mine is exactly like that, I can have his fav toy or food with me and trying to stand in front of him to block the view, but he just goes either beside me or through my legs. Or I try to run in a different direction, whatever. He just lays down waiting for the other dog. I need to drag him his belly, and it’s tough because he is a 1.5-year old Golden retriever of 30 kg and he is slightly dominant.
Yh I feel you mine will leave any kind of food on the floor outside the house he just wants to see other dogs. His intact so he just wants do up to males and pose like yhhh look at me and find females through drinking as much pee as he can get hold of before I stop him.
What would you recommend for a husky that has zero food motivation and toys or praise could take or leave? The only thing that she truly loves is chasing animals and has killed numerous rabbits and opposum. Also unfortunately thinks small dogs are fun to chase
Not sure how to build toy drive that’s why I’m here but food drive is easy don’t free feed feed on a schedule be a little late for that schedule once then offer a game with the food as a reward even if it’s slow at first they’ll eat cause they’re hungry and eating while hungry is fun do that often and you’ll build a bond and a game they enjoy and are eager to play hungry or not
@@3chodabs195 tried that taking food away and not giving treats during the day until the same time everyday. She didn't eat for 6 days. Felt bad after so gave her options of people food she might like and then after 3 or 4 things she finally ate a chicken nugget so cut up one and put pieces in the dog food and mixed it in she still only ate like a cup of food. She would rather starve herself than eat something she doesn't like. The foster family that had her previously said she wouldn't eat the food offered to her for almost 3 weeks until the found a kibble she kinda liked
@@KC-ly4vm crazy not calling u a liar at all but the idea is outlandish to me I’d have to see it to believe it I’ve worked with tons of “low food drive dogs” and they always come around but theyres always outliers but also if you tried it with set things you already knew he was gonna take them u may have more success
@@3chodabs195 belive me I know if sounds fake even a few vets are like really? i don't know what she really likes which is the problem. One day she might eat steak(or whatever treat) the next 3 days won't touch it like it's poison
What about dogs who arent very food or play or praise motivated and so far no sounds that can realiably get their attention? We have a dog that we think got dumped and im struggling to find what will motivate her she just is more interested in the world around her any ideas would be great
Maybe find a type of strongly scented food and give it to her as a treat for doing something you like. Like maybe some chicken, steak, buffalo or venison steak.
So, do I put all his toys on the side board then what next? Will he automatically sit beneath then and and me? Can I start this 5 weeks after I got him after having free access to all his toys all the time? Ty 😊

My Bulldog like nothing, no toys, food or praise moves him. 🙄
