So i am a beagel "owner" and we only had this probs in the years 2 to 4 ... but he always comes back and and is capable of reading the importance of a comando. when he feels i am exciteted it works 100%.

Theres English and American labs both having working and non working lines. I got a English non working lab. Straight potato, doesn't do anything wrong and is full of love 😂. My aussies on the other hand, love to eat shit and wipe it on each other and never stop moving. My gsds were basically glued to me or they would freak out

I thought I'd never stop cleaning hair from my lab chow mix. 17 years. He's been gone 6 months and nothing makes me sadder than emptying the vacuum or the dryer lent and not seeing it full of his black hair. 💔

We just adopted our 2nd Staffie a few months ago. "Velvet hippos" is the best descriptor of this breed. You always wanted a 70 lb lap dog, right? Well, here ya go, it's a Staffie! ❤

Looks good. Now what do you do with a GSP that pulls like train in all directions. If I change directions to gain attention and control he does it too and we can doing in circles forever. I make him sit and he stands 1 second after. You can tell his heart rate is out of control and he is a formula 1 car that wants to go.

This has helped me a lot, however, when my dog sees other dogs everything goes all over the place, what can I do?

My 1st dog was a German Shepard then I got a Chow. After having 3 kids I got a Golden retriever to grow up with the kids. Now I have a Neopolitan Mastiff and plan to get my 2nd Neo next spring

My dog is intelligent mixed breed of border collie, german Shepherd and few more breeds, but we are having issues with recall and enthusiasm for other dogs. When i call her name, she comes but not always. She decline food outside (she only eat inside and ignore the treats whenever were outside). She ignore praise as well 😢. I need help because she is being dangerous to herself and others

Surprised to see Frenchie on this list. As a long-time Frenchie mom, I have to respectfully disagree. They are notoriously stubborn and also *very* delicate. You must be vigilant of weather, stairs, jumps, water.... special surgical protocols. Its a LOT! They are so popular, but also dumped at a huge rate lately because breed-unaware owners think they are "easy." Start with a lovely Golden Retriever ❤

Yes! My Boston had a previous family, who obviously taught him paw. And he paws for everything, and can't seem to figure out other ways to communicate at this point. We're working on addi new signals constantly!

So agree on that fur trait!!! I have white floors and before my gsds came to my life i only needed to vacuum my floors once each day (or every other day if im feeling a bit lazy). But now, the twice-a-day vacuuming is not enough. So, that’s an hour out of my life 😂 oh well, they’re great, great dogs anyway and they’re so cute so at least, that’s my trade-off 😂 And yes, they are LOUD.

We’ve recently brought home 2 female cane corso puppies of the same litter. Didn’t do enough research on litter mate syndrome. Having had corsos in the past, I’m incredibly nervous about these 2 being untrainable and disobedient.

“This isn’t a blanket statement but here are the best dogs I’ve found that are good around newborns” Congrats on giving yourself a disclaimer when a staffie inevitably mauls a newborn because they all have massive issues with resource guarding.

With the border collie. I’d say it entirely depends on the line and the breeder. There’s working lines, show lines and family lines. I grew up with two border collies - they were both of the family line. Plus the breeder selected the dog for us and made sure the dog would fit our family. We didn’t get to choose the dog and if there wasn’t one that would fit our family, we’d have to wait to the next litter.

I live with a Finnish lapphund and a wolfdog in an apartment which is perfect if you don't want to have time to spend a lot of time in your tiny apartment.

First time owner here with a rescue neopolitan mastiff X English bulldog and I wouldn't recommend them as a first dog. Definitely not a rescue anyway. Alot of hard work has gone into her .

Gonna have to disagree with you dude. Doesn't happen often, I'm a fan. But the staffy.. not ideal first dog imo. They need firm ownership, they maybe small - but they have that real bully terrier grit. They need strong leadership and confident handling. I've had all sorts of dogs since i was a pup myself, love Staffy dogs. Best breed for me. But I've seen too many Staffs showing behaviour problems due to inexperienced or owners being way to soft on them. And Staffs can cause some serious damage with that powerful jaw for sure if they aren't managed. Don't get me wrong.. most loving dogs I've ever had, IF handled right from the beginning. New 'no clue' owners.. nope I wouldn't recommend pal.

First dog was a staffie. Best dogs ever! Easy to train really aim to just be loved. Phy was 65 lbs. After him i had a shepherd mix and a bloodhound. Shepherd was a sweetheart but was very much only my dog. The bloodhound....good luck he does as he pleases but is very good on leash. Im getting a springer in autumn and am very excited because i think we may get along perfectly

My sister has spent thousand on her French Bulldog's medical needs. Not a good option for the vast majority of people.

HELP... my dog Scout is probably the most crazy, energetic, insane dog in the world. He's six years old and he is just insane. he is a German Shepard mix with like 12 other dog breeds but he could never actually cut out to be a police dog because he can't even walk on his four feet if he sees a person he doesn't know. He's not aggressive, he's just a literal pychopath.😂

My frenchie is a pain in the ass.... Had a trainer and he was good as gold and listened to me and she asked why I bothered getting a trainer...

Frenchies and Pugs are sweet and cute but first time owners better have a lot of money or good insurance - they are currently riddled with health problems. Hopefully breeders will someday breed to health instead of looks, but I 'm not holding my breath (like these dogs can't hold their breath either).

She’s the kind of person to get rid of this beautiful dog because she can’t handle how high maintenance the dog is. People like her don’t deserve these dogs and need little tiny dogs not these Roman battle animals.
