I love the concept that it has to be an explicit rule to not sing on a plane for this person to know that singing on a plane is not acceptable. That would be like playing a distorted metal guitar in a nursery.
yeah everyone knows babies like classical guitar a lot better
@@shuriflwrsLOL

Dude already knew exactly the type of person he was dealing with
"muh lord muh lord muh lord" YOU'RE NOT IN CHURCH
I don't know. I found his tone awful. Like don't talk to adults like children. He said his instruction was to answer the question. He should have simply said be quiet or you'll have to get off which one. He needs to calm down
@@jackoh991she needed to not sing on a plane. She was behaving like a child, hence his tone.
@@jackoh991 I viewed his wording as being more explicit with his instructions. "Willing and able" is probably the wording in the policy for dealing with difficult passengers.
The second hand embarrassment I felt from this video is palpable how do people have so little shame in public
bring back shame!!!!!
Shame? It's a matter of respect for your fellow passangers. I know you know but even if our favorite artist was on the plane it'd be disrespectful to everyone else to have them sing or play song out loud like that.
@@worm-briShame never existed. People have always been this cringe.
I had to pause the video 35 seconds in
Anyone else remember “Rebecca star” singing that cringe song on the subway? Literally starts the song with the first two lyrics being “no cap”
If people from any other religious group other than Catholic/Anglican/Christian started singing on a plane there would be mainstream news outrage
The plane would be grounded due to the sheer amount of fear in the audience.
Seriously, any religious singing is horribly annoying.
no like just imagine if a group of muslims started singing
I was going to say the same thing! It would be labeled as propaganda (which these Christian songs are, too).
Where's my Satanist at? 😂
Reading minimal headlines, shes NOT nominated for a grammy but rather the gospel choir she's apart of is. They way shes talk about the nomination being hers alone is so vexing cause last time i checked a choir has many people all playing distinct roles and tbh...
something tells me shes not the reason for their success
It's the real world equivalent of one person taking all the credit for something their entire group worked for
😮😂Now im in Awe. The AWEdacity of that woman to not even mention the grouper a single time wtf actually

@@poopybuttguy5523right isn't that literally pride, one of the seven deadly sins? Like I'm not even religious anymore and I remember that.
being loud in ANY way is so inconsiderate on a plane. you're gonna wake up sleeping babies, if there are autistic people you could cause them to have a meltdown with no way to escape. it's also literally just annoying but that's never enough for these people
i came here to say this, like idc if someone is a good singer or not. the whole flight process is stressful for so many people, someone believing that trying to perform for everyone could somehow improve that is so inconceivable to me, regardless of what the person is doing
I cannot tell you how many fucking meltdowns I had when i was younger because I was unable to escape the insanely loud music of the concert like youth services our old church had. And oh my god i wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy, and on a fucking flight?? Id be liable to punch out someone.
when I am stressed I lose my brain to mouth filter. loud crowded areas are stressful. if someone near me starts singing I would start politely but if they keep going I would most likely snap
No doubt with some or most of them in their attention seeking hyperactivity, of what had begun from an earlier age. Of those whom had to always make a noise above the rest during their schooling days and since then. And with those that if they heard anybody else step in, then they will feel a need to intently compete, because without them then who is anybody else to hug the limelight in their mentality...
🤓
When I was in high school I was one of those annoying theatre kids that would take any opprotunity to sing at people in public. Thankfully, my friends were successfully able to get it through my thick skull how annoying that was

No you don't understand, "the Lord called her to minister to them." AKA she was feelin' herself a bit too much after her nominations. 😂
Ironic, isn't it? Especially when "The Lord" is involved.
About a decade ago, a video of The Lion King cast singing on a plane went viral. It was a short domestic flight in Australia, and as far as I’m aware they asked permission from staff who agreed, and the captain made a passenger announcement that the cast of the Lion King were on board the flight and would like to perform for the rest of the passengers.
They sang Circle of Life and it was incredible, and the passengers seemed to love it. As I said, though, this was almost a decade ago and was a novelty at the time. I’m sure many people on the flight felt like it was a once in a lifetime experience to have a free surprise performance from the cast of a world famous musical on their flight.
The issue now is the entitlement. People want to go viral, or they want to “witness to people” on flights. They don’t ask permission or care about disturbing other passengers, they just want to show off.
Plus the professional cast of a show singing a very well known song from the show is different from one person singing gospel from their own religion
@@Aece753it wasn’t about what she was singing. It was her entitled attitude.
I do not care if it’s Michael Jackson back from the dead wanting to sing a song, if one person on the plane does not want a song sung, do not sing.

In Japan, you literally have to be quiet on public transport, you cannot even take phone calls. I miss being there.
when i found out about this i kinda wondered why it isn't just the norm. but then you realize how super egotistical, self-centered and more narcissistic western culture is. some people here can't even fathom the idea of why that would be a rule because they just HAVE to do "X" thing on commute.
i miss being there too, i'm not saying japan was perfect but for the year i stayed there it was amazing
I love how quiet trains are here that when people speak I have the nerve to be annoyed, like today on the train a man had his earphones on full blast and it was so disruptive!

@@youtubename7819It's the flight attendant's job to serve the passengers. Not to make everyone's flight worse for their own comfort.

@@me-myself-i787 no, asshole, if ONE person on the plane wants you to stop, you STOP.
No means no.
@@me-myself-i787 the flight attendent told her to stop
As someone who works for Delta. They absolutely did not reach out to her. Delta's main offices are in Atlanta, Georgia. She got a call from somewhere in Texas.
I had a suspicion about that cause I looked closely at the contact she screenshotted and doesn't look like the exact Delta phone number. Thanks for clearing that up.
Even if it was legit (which it wasn’t) it could have just been them calling her back after she called them demanding someone call her back and they talked for 7 minutes.
@@tinydream Yes. They might have told her that they had rules against making noise on a flight and the attendant did nothing wrong.
I think the main problem with the Bobbi storm thing is that she was asked to stop. Multiple times. If you really feel the need to sing on your flight, then sure do what you want. But if you’re asked to stop, then stop.
what gets me is like how she acted after she really made it out to seem like the flight attendant was in the wrong and like even said "he shouldn't lose his job over this" as if he was gonna lose his job in the first place doing his job she was the one being a nuisance. This is pretty narcissistic behavior.
I also think it has to do with how she did it . A lady later in the video told the plane she was gonna sing .
Right like he is also part of her audience. If he was instead a regular passenger would she have questioned him?
On the other side, it does seem interesting that all these supported singers are white. But I also think a lot were staged, private, or group event flights so idk.

The overwhelming theme of gospil singers specifically performing to people on planes and in elevators is just ridiculous 😂 you know "god" is only telling them to sing because their audience is quite literally trapped and they know no one actually wants to hear it but their cult minds are convinced that this is their time to save these poor lost souls 😂
Also they’re not doing it to “spread the word of god” or whatever (which wouldn’t be okay either, but that’s their reasoning/justification). i know its so embarrassing, omg. actual grown child behavior tbh. like, i used to do that sort of attention-seeking crap as a kid, not knowing people were just entertaining me to be polite. but then i yknow, grew up and realize that's what was happening... lmao
What they’re doing is a sneaky intrusive tactic. They take advantage of the fact that they literally have a “trapped audience” who can’t leave. You’re trapped so now I’m going to force you to listen to me sing. That’s all it is. I support that flight leader 100%.
I would support him if one of the passengers complained. But they all supported the singing. When she asked the other passengers whether she should stop, they all said "No!"
@@me-myself-i787 I mean, I didn’t hear them ALL saying “no.” Someone definitely could have complained but not have been willing to draw attention to themselves.

okay this is the nail in the coffin. people who can sing are the most annoying people on the planet like imagine if your skill was woodworking like hey guys gather round and watch me build this bench
I don't think it's people who can sing that are the most annoying, just the people who force others to pay attention to them, esp when there's no way for you to leave without a parachute.
why are you generalizing people who can sing? its not like every person who can sing is like this 💀
nope, you're right. and it's always the most mediocre singers who sing unprompted or in public spaces... like okaaay, thanks for filling up the bathroom stall with that beautiful melody, allow me to follow you up with a fart girl 💀
While I agree you shouldn't force people to listen to you sing, I feel like it's not quite the same because the woodworker is an artist, but his finished work is the art, while for a singer, the song is the art.
If the woodworker just forced you to look at their creation it would only take your eyes and a second or two, but with the singer, you "seeing" their art takes longer and stuff.
I'm overthinking it but yeah I mainly agree
watching a carpenter build a bench randomly in front of me might be the coolest thing that I could ever witness
Man, this video felt personal. I need a gentle way to tell my bf that his constant singing is actually a bit of a nuisance. He constantly does it at board games, which sucks because he sings while everyone is trying to talk. He'll also just sing while I'm trying to talk to him, and it's so frustrating. He only started doing this after he took singing lessons for a couple years, and I get that he's proud of his singing... but it's at everyone else's expense/comfort.
"Babe you have a wonderful voice, but when people are actively trying to talk to you, or someone else in our group, and you just won't stop singing it feels disrespectful and like you aren't actually listening." Might be a good starter. I'd let him know you feel ignored and drowned out by his occasional lack of situational awareness.
Holy shit I feel so sorry for you. I would never know how to handle that, especially not gently.
try to explain it to him clearly, he'll hopefully stops if he understands it bothers you.. i had a similar problem with my bestfriend but it wasn't that bad since it was piano, not singing, so at least she wasn't able to play outside of her house.
What worked for me was to explain it to her clearly, she was a tad bit hurt but she understood and stopped ! What also works is a little reassurance and ego boost, instead of him singing all of the time schedule singing moments, like a private concert or some shit like that, tell him that his singing is so beautiful that you only want you to hear it ( no idea if it's gonna work i'm just bored and making shit up). Other tactic is to pretend to have a seizure whenever he sings, it'll probably make him stop ! Good luck
One way that could help get him to stop or at least to sing less is to tell him abt the dangers of overusing his vocal cords. Getting nodes is one thing and there is some other stuff and I can’t remember what it is right now.
If he is similar to a lot of ppl who sing and want to perform he might be persistent and be willing to risk it. The other option could be to explain that you’re glad he’s proud of his voice but you want to be able to talk to him without him interrupting you in any way.
this sounds like it could be an i think you should leave bit lol that's actually so crazy, i genuinely wouldn't know how to approach that
"Theyre clearly enjoying it"
"Well i dont"
I wish i had the courage to just straight up say this
i don't know anyone under 50 who cares about grammys or any of those legacy media awards. That flight attendant is a working class hero, an absolute icon of the proletariat.
I'm in my 60s. Have never cared about media awards of any kind. This sentiment applies to many people in my age group.
They paid for a plane ticket, not a ticket to her concert. She wasn’t spreading the love of Christ. She was spreading her love for herself.
Fr and I bet she flip out if someone asked her to stop cuz they where another religion 😭😭😭
the “god told me to” justification always blows me away
Singing on a plane is one of the few things that I think would make me lose my mind, I don’t wanna be forced to listen to people sing, I don’t care who’s singing or what song they’re singing
as someone with panic disorder and a phobia of planes i'm gonna freak out very publicly if you do this😭
another reason why these people who claim to be "directed by god" are just actually delusional narcissists who can't accept the reality of how annoying their shit is
@@CedarMountainsnowexcept someone freaking out or having a panic/anxiety attack isn't a conscious choice, it's a reaction they cannot control. Yeah it's not an ideal scenario for themselves or the people around them but not really comparable to singing in a crowded space
Thank you! I have severe phobia of flying and any other stimuli would send me off the edge. I’m literally white-knuckling the entire flight, I don’t need screaming people pretending to have meltdowns and using real breakdowns as an excuse, or gospel singers exacerbating my panic. Hope you and I and all others with flying phobia can get better about it with every flight we take ❤❤❤
You probably shouldn't fly. There are so many triggers whilst flying.
I literally graduated college as a vocal major and you couldn’t pay me to sing on a plane full of strangers that are forced to listen to me. That’s just insane. I feel like a basic rule of performing is to make sure your audience has a choice to watch you or not.
personally on flights i get terrible headaches and bad nausea so if i were there id literally start crying because that would be so annoying to deal with. especially if people around me started singing as well. not to say "but what about me" im just saying its kind of inconsiderate to just start singing to everyone someplace where they physically CAN'T leave😭
I get very painful bloating on flights now to the point where I’ve avoided eating hours before and during flying. It just sucks generally being in physical discomfort or pain surrounded by a bunch of strangers in small quarters. The last thing you need is having one of them sing at you so I totally get it.
i'm autistic and any of these situations would probably make me cry honestly. it would feel like being forced to listen to nails on a chalkboard for several minutes straight like this would be literal torture to me
I'm also autistic, and if they made you cry I'd over-empathize and then get violently pissed at them for upsetting you. 😂
There’s a difference to me between singing on a plane and essentially gospel proselytizing on a plane with worship songs. Also idk it’s just weirdly narcissistic to sing on a plane with a captive audience which makes it really hard to tell if the person is being genuine.

@@sinfulsystem6248 Seconding. Sometimes people just can't read the fucking room and are obnoxious. It's not a mistake that it's a lot of christian folk, either, given that current mainstream Christianity is very much about trying to force God's light onto other people or whatever the fuck.
If you think about it, what Bobbi was actually implying with her "that was god" explanation is that god reached down from the heavens to break something on the plane, inconveniencing everyone and possibly posing a safety hazard if the crew hadn't noticed, so that the plane could be grounded long enough for everyone on board to become a captive audience for her singing, infused as it must be by his joy and grace. Or... maybe she just wants the attention for herself. Especially seeing as she goes on to say that the idea of singing when they land is unappealing to her specifically because the people in front won't be able to *see* her. Because she needs everyone to LOOK at her, not just listen. Right. And of course, Delta reached out to her personally in order to say how she's totally awesome and definitely allowed to sing on their flights, because giant companies definitely call people's cell numbers to tell them things like that.
So absurdly self-centered.
The problem is... people on the plane will be too uncomfortable to stand up and say: "excuse me lady, I would like you to please stop singing." But they WILL pull over the flight attendants and complain. So the flight attendants have to advocate for everybody.
Notice how many of these are people thinking they’re allowed to do whatever they want because they’re ordained by God. So arrogant.
Nothing screams "main character syndrome" more than singing on public transportation
When I think of hell on earth I think of being stuck in a plane with people singing
Hell over earth
idk if this is a hot take, but I feel like if someone wants to do this, they should sing in the airport instead. bigger space that you're not physically trapped in. people can choose to walk by or stop and listen. idk. no matter what song it is I don't want to hear it on a plane
yeah my airport actually hires musicians to play in different areas of the airport, I’ve played a few times. it’s really nice and not obnoxious and people enjoy it because it’s an actually appropriate setting lmao
If I remember correctly, the second video was a charter flight where everyone was from the same church. The third one was filmed on a special set that's used by a lot of content creators to make fake viral videos. The lights are a dead giveaway.
Also they don’t pan and show the rest of the plane or anything
For Bobbi Storm, the flight was already delayed. People were super frustrated. She didn’t get permission to sing and the conflict with the flight attendant made it super awkward for everyone around her. And she was singing a song that no one is familiar with.
This lady: "I can't hold my need to show off" = God
i personally enjoy singing. would i ever subject people to this in public unless its an appropriate setting? absolutely not. i know i'm not the only one existing in this space and its like people have lost having common courtesty to others in public spaces bcz they think they're the main character or some annoying stuff
This is like those people that busk on the subways in NYC but 10x worse because instead of bothering people for 5 minutes and leaving at the next stop, you could be stuck with the singer for literally hours.
They need to start sorting flights into “down for in-flight shenanigans” and “begging for some peace and quiet ” groups
Singing on planes is worse than children crying because kids can’t control it but adults absolutely can
btw guys if you ever see videos of that plane with the navy blue leather seats and literal led lights and also NO WINDOWS. ITS A SET AND THE WHOLE VIDEO IS STAGED. I’ve seen so many viral plane moments happen on that exact plane in those exact seats. Also what plane has no windows and LED light strips on it

every day im thankful nothing ever happens around me cos idk if id live through someone singing on a plane
I was once on a flight going from dublin to italy which was over 4 hours long and about 3 hours into the flight its announced that the flight is delayed. So everyone is really tired and annoyed when some dude at the top of the plane stands up and says he wants to lift everyones spirits and stars playing songs from his phone and singing. Everyone was super weirded out and he was trying to get people to join in with him. Eventually some people were dancing and there were kids running up and down the aisles, it was just crazy and there was at least 3 babies all crying while this was happening. The flight attendents had to tell the dude to stop as people were complaining and getting in the way. Wildest flight of my life. (also sorry this is long)
That sounds like my worst nightmare. I have flying anxiety. I would have been a MESS
If someone did this on a flight I was on. I would slide on my noise cancelling headphones, pull up my hoodie and pull the string until you can't see my face, and cover myself with a blanket. Just ceasing to exist as much as I could.
I’ve been on a plane that had about 6 people who sang vaguely gospel sounding music. They only sang about 5 minutes or so and people did clap (probably just the ones singing) but it was very awkward.
Omg this is literally a scene out of Planes Trains and Automobiles. Like, crickets for some crooner song that Steve Martin sings, but they break out the Flintstones theme and everyone's singing along XD
But seriously, don't sing on airplanes. Even if it's just one person who's not speaking up who's bothered by it (sensory issues, headache, etc), that's one person's flight RUINED.
If your audience can't get away they are actually hostages.

Never been on a plane before. New Fear Unlocked: People Singing on the Plane.
can't believe they turned that disney movie into a real thing
See, I was thinking it was someone who had seen The Wedding Singer one too many times
the one you think is staged is staged
Which one? Can you say the time stamp?
I know what you're talking about, but honestly this is such a good rule of thumb for anything you see online lmao
@@tedros6917 hahah I totally agree
The funny thing is, if some random non-Grammy nominated person stood up in a flight and started singing because they felt the hand of God on them, she would be calling them crazy.
As far as Lewis Capaldi, he’s leaving on a plane from the UK so, based on age range, that means virtually half the plane owns his album. Everyone will tell everyone they know about that moment. But I promise you no one had Bobbi Storm’s album on that other flight.
I don't even like Lewis Capaldi but he's famous and talented enough that I'd be excited if he was on my flight singing! I know how much his gig tickets sell for and I'm getting that for free? Yes please
@@bassetts1899 yeah, like I don’t like Katy Perry very much but if she sang on my plane it would be cool. It’s all based on “how many actually want this.” Most people want to see a famous person perform.
Any place where someone cannot get away from you is a place where you need to comport yourself well. I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t want a Satanic beatboxer to get in your face on a plane, the exact same way that I don’t need a self righteous Grammy nominee singing at me. This wasn’t even a humble brag, this lady was like “oh, you’re gonna LOVE this.”
i know someone who, as a very young girl, sang “The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow” from the broadway musical Annie. it was on a flight to NY. allegedly, people applauded at the end, allegedly.
Maaaan, i dont care how beautiful your voice is (because to be fair bobby storms voice is amazing in that video) or how famous you are, if I’m in a stressful and overstimulating situation like being in an airport or on a plan and have nowhere to go to avoid the performance I will not appreciate it. I have no problem with people wanting to spread joy or celebrate a safe flight but you’ve GOTTA be considerate. Yeesh!
“They enjoy it >:(“ ITS A CAPTIVE AUDIENCE A MILE ABOVE THE GROUND THEYRE ALL TIRED AND THERES PROBABLY A BABY SCREAMING SOMEWHERE. WHOS ENJOYING IT 😭😭
This reminds me of the person on my (high school) school bus who sings everyday really loudly and when people ask him to stop he makes violent threats to them... It's so uncomfortable to be around someone just singing in a typically quiet public place. I feel horrible for the people on these flights.
I don't care if the world’s best orchestra has decided to perform a beautiful symphony on the plane. I would prefer quiet in that space. A trapped audience is not a willing audience.
“I’M not enjoying it.”
This guy is my hero. 🤣👏🏻
Not gonna lie, the Lion King broadway cast singing Circle of Life on the plane and on the train is one of my favorite videos.
“i’m doing what the lord is telling me to do” SENT ME
I've always said absolutely no singing on planes but tbh the sweet Caroline one looked fairly real and like ppl were having fun. So I say the rule is 1 song, no following acts or anything, either right at the beginning or end of the flight so you're not disturbing sleepers, it's gotta be something everybody can sing along to, and absolutely not religious music of any kind
Do that on a greyhound theyre gonna leave you at a gas station in the middle of nowhere
This holiday season I hope someone sings a crowd pleaser on my flight home like “liver” by queef jerky
Choir kids need to learn the appropriate time and place to sing lol
And theater kids

"Ladies in gentleman at this grocery store, I submitted a Pumpkin for the county fair that is up for two awards!!!" *starts doing pumpkin dance "Pumkin Pumkin yayaya pumkin on the billboard charts yaya"
we all flew to get here early
Singing is something I do as a kind of stim, which sometimes happens in public, but it's never more than one line and it's usually just me humming it (quietly). Part of me feels better after watching this bc if people have the audacity to sing loudly on plans to all the passengers, like I think I'm okay humming something while looking at cereal boxes. But on the other hand I feel like these kinds of videos make people more frustrated about people singing in public, so it makes me more anxious when I do it in public.
I know it's annoying af for people so I try to just listen to the songs I want to sing lines from but that's not always possible and ahhh this video stresses me out
I relate to that! Singing is one of my main stims and I have to be mindful about it in public. For me personally, I think it’s important to match the volume of the place you’re in. Humming/singing under your breath in the grocery store doesn’t feel bad to me because there’s a certain amount of ambient noise so other people aren’t as likely to notice or care. But in a quiet place like a plane or waiting room, I try not to hum/sing so I don’t bother the people near me (:
@cyprinidae I'm the same! I try to reserve loud stimming time for just when I'm at home, and preferably when I'm alone since it can be a bit much for my partner who can get overwhelmed by loud noises. I'm glad to know there are other people who feel the same :D
