Very nice! Your game is so much more improved. I actually had fun playing with the roms.
Once the physics, collision etc are done, I'll just have to make sure the level design is good then hopefully we'll have a fun Castlevania game to play!

This project and that TMNT hack convinced me that the Sega Mega Drive is the GOAT videogame system. Any opinion opposed to that is irrelevant to me and does not deserve to be taken seriously.

I LOVE the blue used in the background of the courtyard. It looks very much like how they would do it if it was an original megadrive game. That being said, if you could find some more muted blues I think it would look better, and fit the less garish tones used in the original SOTN.
Love it either way though :D

There is a charm in these retro consoles and these new(or ported) games coming to them... With today's development environments and with memory being so cheap there can be some pretty amazing games made for these retro systems. Great JOB and keep going!

Really liking how this project is coming along, and looking forward to see more!
Some feedback:
1. When Alucard is walking to the right, the screen is not centered around him. In original SotN Alucard is usually at the center of the screen when he's walking.
2. The recovery animation of Alucard Sword should be cancellable by walking and by other attacks like in the original, where you could do very fast swings if you spam the attack button. Alucard was swift and agile with his signature sword.
3. Not being able to go back to previous screens is weird. I don't think it's a system limitation, because there are Sega Genesis games that were capable of that.
4. The hitbox on Alucard's sprite is too big, this causes 2 issues: 1) jumping over enemies becomes harder, their sprites can still hit you even when you didn't touch them. 2) Jumping through tight openings (i.e: last screen of Lv1 demo) becomes much harder, you need to be more precise than you should be.
5. I noticed there is no small jump, you can only do a full jump. I imagine you're already aware of that though :p

this SoTN port and the Final fight Conversion are definitely the juciest ones most of us have our eyes on oh and whoever is making that Fatal Fury Real Bout port needs some shine, as thats looking amazing.
oh and i hope you will get round to that GG Shinobi port also that taken a back seat i know but its definitely something we'd all love to see.
Hopefully I can do some more work on GG towards the end of next year, but we'll see
Thank you. You deserve all attention from indie megadrive dev. Colours and music are at high level. Miss some function for A button (magic/2nd attack), but time will see. I would like fastest fades (just a little fast than now), avoid hit platforms when jumping.... not sure what would you will do with water, you can use transparency but had to change all sprite colours, or change like in Sonic2. Merry Christmas Pigsy!

Merry Christmas! Thank you for all of your work so far. Played through the three builds, and I've got a bit of feedback to share.
- Mermen can still hurt Alucard during their death animation.
- Somehow I managed to make Alucard moonwalk after the last screen transition in the Entrance.
- Alucard's fall animation doesn't end properly.
- The Blood Skeletons' hitboxes seem a bit off to me - they're a bit too _easy_ to hit.
- I prefer the browner ceiling for the Marble Gallery corridor, personally.
Thanks for the feedback:
- I already fixed this problem in the Aclh Lab level, but didn't have time to fix it in the Entrance one
- I think I know what the problem is and it should be easy to fix (need to tell the MD which direction Alucard is facing)
- It repeats if he falls for too long, but I will be working more on the animation in the future
- maybe I've been too generous to the player with the hitboxes!

I have had a dream where i was remaking the game called Chakan the Forever Man. now that i see this it would an honor to somehow start a project like this.

I have to say... It doesnt look like marble anymore... I know its very difficult to manage color pallets and all but the diferences in color of the pillars and floor, and also that red dome on the ceilling of the corridor... Does not look like marble anymore. The entrance is looking awesome tho, awesome work!

Love it, played the rooms already and its quite impressive, Alucard is still heavy when jumping lol but thats ok, also I got a moon walking glitch in one of the levels after the death room, kinda coincidence since you can moonwalk in some CV games, feliz navidad!

Just played frought all three levels - and it's amazing. Controls feels almost perfect to PS original. Background are incredible, also music has flowless adaptation. Speaking of control, are You planning add vertical sword attacks and kick?

Thank you Pigsy for these awesome updates on your project. I wanted to ask you about your opionion as a dev if there are any theoretical chances to bring Super Castlevania from SNES to Genesis. You think this could be achieved?
With Genesis´shadow/highlight for the (water) transparencies, software scaling for the bosses, fake screen rotation like in Red Zone or Arkagis Revolution, partial rotation like in Pugsy and so on.
