Giants could have had Mahomes, DK and Dereck Henry along with Odell..just shows ownership did a poor job on hiring management period. Drake Maye is the future. Get rid of Danny bust dime never wanted him as a fan in the first place. Most the players on the giants team should be trade while theirs value Build around the new QB

Give me Jayden Daniels or any new first rd qb. No matter what happened we were still in this playoff hunt THIS year. We need to breath life into this thing somehow.
I think what folks are forgetting is we were actually in the playoff hunt toward the end of the season in spite of how bad it looked and if not were a few mishaps in games (rams, jets, bills) we had a legit shot to get a playoff spot. Don’t get me wrong we NEED to address the OL but I don’t think we are as bad as what the media makes it out to be. There’s hope likeminded Giants fans!!

Tiki made the point which everyone should listen to all those teams were all ready playoff 10 wins teams. The Giants are not and have way to many holes to fill. Trade up if you are already a playoff team trade down and build a team if you are bottom 5.
I would add 1 other thing, when you trade up to get a QB, and you are giving up draft capital, you have to be sure that your GM(Schoen), can get talent in lower rounds to make up for the loss of draft capital, I have ZERO confidence that Schoen can do that!!!

It’s sad because if you picture Jones in SanFran … that’s a team. It’s obviously already a team, but I think he’d be even more successful than Purdy. With Kittle, CMC, Deebo and Aiyuk? And that oline? The giants just have way too many holes to fill. Which is why when tiki mentions Jones’ possible comeback … does it really sound that terrible to trade back or just draft Taliese Fuaga at RT, move Neal to RG, draft a solid X receiver like Coleman or Legette in the 2nd round, and draft Cooper Beebe with Seattle’s 2nd round pick? Or if the receivers are gone, draft Beebe with our 2nd and Trey Benson at RB with Seattle’s 2nd? Get the comp pick for saquon and sign a Calvin Ridley or Tee Higgins? What’s even crazier to think about with this year is the amount of talent on the oline in the draft and in free agency. This SHOULD be the year that the giants officially SOLVE the oline … but what if that revised team with added weapons and a reliable oline is a good system for any qb? Like the 49ers. It’s a big, complex puzzle. But then at the same time, if Jayden Daniels (who, in my opinion, has the highest ceiling in the draft among the QBs) is THAT much better than Jones … does that mean that even after putting the oline and weapons foundation together, it won’t amount to anything if we don’t have an undeniably ELITE qb? At the end of the day all I know is that I’m so happy I’m not Joe Schoen and I get to sit back for another offseason with zero pressure over my head. And as long as the cowboys get booted in the first round, how can we not be happy giants fans even after a losing season? Im excited to see what happens

You go between the 2nd and 5th round, they average 5 a year depending on how many desperate 1st round picks. Over the last 5 years that is at least 20 QBs and less than 5 are considered starters, the odds are low and number of years if you give each pick 3 years is high, maybe 3 coaches to find your guy beyond the 1st round. Anyone says the Panthers are a terrible organization for trading up, no not picking Stroud was the terrible part, they had 0 chance of getting Stroud where they were and Darnold would be their QB.
6 years of seeing Daniel Jones flop and we're still saying it's worth running this chump. Get us a quarterback. Do we really need the first guy in the draft is the only question we should be asking.

Out of 14 teams in the playoffs this year only 3 of those QBs were considered top of the draft QBs. All the other QBs were the “other guys” mid first round to Mr. irrelevant.. So their point makes absolutely no sense.

Not scared, Tiki's list is math. The hit rate of getting your next Eli or even Phil Simms, isn't good. In fact, no better than late first or second round. Jalen Hurts 53.Josh Allen 7, Russell Wilson 3rd round. Moving up to get Toney caused Dallas to get Parsons in the second. Not counting Brock Purdy, but calling Love "your quarterback" is way ahead of where Colin K or Tim Tebow were before we knew what they weren't!
When you miss it, like they did with Daniel Jones.. Daniel was a bad pick.
The biggest issue, is the first 3 guys will be gone. So are you willing to pick JJ, Penix or Bo at 6. I'm not. If I can go up and grab Caleb, Drake or Jayden I'm doing it. I dont think the Giants will have the choice. Maybe trading back into the second half of the first for Bo or JJ

I do think the Giants should take a QB in the 1st round because of DJ injury history more than his performance. People forget he threw 24 TD passes his rookie year and led the Giants to the playoffs last season but he did regress this year and he played poorly which brought all the haters out of the woodwork again when you couldn't find them last year. I know the O line had a lot to do with his bad performance this season and don't give me Tyrod and Danny 🤌 did better with the same Line because it wasn't the same line. Jones had No Andrew Thomas and Evan Neal was at RT. Tell me once Tyre Phillips got in to play RT he wasn't better than Neal so it wasn't the same O line. I just don't think Jones injuries will allow him to have long career. The neck is nothing to fool around with. For that reason I think they should take a QB at 6. If they decide to trade up for the guy they absolutely want to have so be it.
I think the Giants have a chance to get McCarthy in the 2nd round. Let Mccarthy develop behind Jones for the season, and if DJ is not cleared to play in the beginning of the season, activate Tommy Devito who I believe is signed for one more year. When Jones comes back move Devito to the practice squad. Most likely DJ will have a good season if we get the OL solidified and Mccarthy can develop the right way like a lot of good QBs have. Then after next season reassess, if DJ has a great season keep him and restructure his contract, and you can continue developing Mccarthy to take over if DJ gets hurt or trade DJ for picks. I would rather get a top WR or OL at 6, and take Mccarthy in the 2nd while filling in holes for the rest of our picks with the best players available. But who knows maybe someone takes Mccarthy in the 1st but I kind of doubt that, however is Daniels is available at 6 I think he would be a great prospect.
We are not QB away from competition in NFC or even division. So
If we can't draft one in Rd 1, maybe try to trade for Justin Fields? Let him start until DJ is ready?
Daniel Jones isn't even good when he's healthy. They were better with Tyrod and Devito than they were with the $40 million man

Yes they traded up to 7 or 10 but again, they were not considered to be the best QB in the draft. They were the 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc. QBs taken. And the guys before them that were “the best QBs” were busts.

I love how Tiki is talking about how often first round QBs don’t work as a reason to not draft a guy and hold on to Daniel Jones. Meanwhile, Daniel Jones has been a terrible QB at worst and a mediocre QB at best, AND is coming off serious injuries. It’s hard to take some these guys seriously when they’re clearly just Giants employees.
It's about developing these QBs. Love was meh, and he couldn't get on the field. If he was what they thought they wouldn't have had to pay Rogers that huge contract

Thank you Tiki for being the voice of reason! The Giants have huge needs that drafting a qb will not touch. I know Giants fans hate hearing that, but look at our recent draft history and you'll see lots of skill players high and o-line mostly in lower rounds. Tierney hopes you'll just forget that we have a qb that got us to the playoffs while playing in the strongest division in football and we won a game. Every year, agents play on gm's FOMO and terms like, "generational talent" get thrown around so much it's almost meaningless. People like Tierney cherry pick the most outstanding examples and throw away the median and hope you will ignore it. For the love of God, please, please, please let's just do the one thing we haven't done since 2013 and finally, once and for all fix the o-line. If Jones flames out, (we have to pay him anyway and he has little to no trade value), then we can truly be in a position move up and get a qb of the future AND win with him. We draft a qb now, he's just going to be a piñata like Jones, Devito and Taylor were this year!! 83 sacks in a year isn't play calling, it isn't coaching, it isn't qb's hanging on to the ball, it's a DRASTIC lack of talent. Tiki gets it, Tierney is just being a fan.
CHI, DC, and NE all will be drafting QBs. Fields will be traded for draft capital. AZ is taking Marvin Harrison. The Giants have no trading partner to move up and grab a QB.
