I think Yankee fans go crazy after the Judge home run in game one because the Yankee fans are expecting for them to make a sort of come back because they’re the “Yankees” and they’re facing the “Mets” and Yankee fans look down upon the Mets as an inferior team for years. Them cheering after the Judge homer is a way of saying “here it is, the comeback is starting!” it’s very annoying lol. It comes off very arrogant, so in this way I get where Lugie is coming from
I can understand that point of view, especially with the teams playing in Queens and the Mets playing better of late, but keep in mind that having a player like Aaron Judge is not something Mets fans like yourself can relate to. As annoying as the subject of your point is to you, there's substance to our belief in 99 and his ability to ignite energy in the team and fans, from our perspective.
@@cityofevil101010 yes the Mets haven’t had a hitter like judge ever, but my point has nothing to do with Judge. The Yankee fans at the stadium would’ve still gotten crazy if it was Trevino that hit that 2 run homer. It’s the benefit of the doubt the Yankees get, especially from 30+ year old crowd that remember the Yankee dynasty from the late 90s/early 2000s and remember all the times they came back to win games. The expectation to still find a way to win, especially vs the Mets
I feel whats overlooked is not everyone gets to go to a lot of games and certainly not guaranteed to see a grand slam every game either so the best player on the field made a relatively rare hit. Cheer it up! Its all for fun. lgm!
