- Well renowned ecologist and scientist predicted a flood in the western ghats back in 2013. He recommended environment conservation efforts to prevent illegal construction, stone mining and quarrying. Can doing all those things prevent Kerala floods in the future?

Centre is not fully supporting Kerala and blocking all the helps from foreign countries. As far as now Japan, UAE and UN shown their interest to help kerala , but BJP govt asked each country to not help Kerala.
BJP can do their max but we will rise again and again we will be no 1 state in India . We will be an example for other states how much a state can achieve if they keep BJP away from administration.
India has never took foreign aid since 2004. so its not bjp or any other party trying to stop aid and help. and where are u people when bihar and up and uk face floods. these states never cry for foreign aid. every year hundreds die in bihar and up but kerala is being publicised as if it is the only state facing flood in india.

And about the foreign aid: govt of Kerala never asked the UAE or any country for aid or help but they came willingly. You may not be aware of the contribution of keralites in the current development of UAE and other foreign countries but they are.. Even the leaders of these countries asked their citizens to help India in any way that is possible besides the aid from their govt.( which is never seen).
Kerala helped other states during their bad times including flood and earthquake..
One last thing about some states like Bihar and UP... These states contribute the least to centre but they are getting the most resources from centre whereas the most south Indian states (including Karnataka,Kerala,TamilNaduetc) are contributing the most and getting the least from the centre...No complaints those states are more frequently affected by natural calamities but we need help at least in our tough conditions..
