    That is SO GOOD, this should be the default housing community design.
    but there is so many good ideas that I can see there that didn't get covered or explained.

    How do we create a green city?
    Add grass and solar panels on the roof, obviously.

    Solid but the car thorough-fare is completely unnecessary. Also, a lack of green space between buildings.

    Solar panels on roofs look terrible. Better to just build nuclear, which you can also use for desalination. Good to use district heating, but what about also using Geothermal w/ a heat pump?

    • @prodbyNOVAER
      @prodbyNOVAER Před měsícem

      Yeah, because huge nuclear power plants look so much better 😂 When do you actually see the roof of your building? Solar panels on roofs are better than grey unused roofs. There are so many unused roof surfaces also in industrial buildings which could help a great deal to lessen the burden on the power network by adding solar panels.

      @@EricSmith-dx1ll i don’t agree with that. in america where “you build wealth through owning a house” so much of our money has sunken into repairs due to how bad american houses are built. and if there is only single family houses built, actually there is no way for the poor to build weakth because they can’t afford to live anywhere. and personally i would love to live somewhere like this

    • @matthewboyd8689
      @matthewboyd8689 Před rokem

      Having more competition lowers prices.
      Having more places for people to live makes more empty rooms, thus they will lower prices to fill.
      And single family homes force people to drive cars, public transport, biking, and walking are best and are only possible with high enough population density.
      But yes, as of now, wall street has a house buying addiction that's ruining America (gotta love greed)

  • @aalexander928
    @aalexander928 Před 3 lety +13

    This is pathetic.
    This is already an outdated concept based on horrible-looking architecture.
    The apartment houses are too big and ugly looking.
    The street scape is way too boring.
    It looks like it will rapidly decline as similar projects in the UK and US have done.
    You will only be able to force aged people and poor people into this project.

    • @maggiejetson7904
      @maggiejetson7904 Před 2 lety +11

      It does not rapidly decline in the US, this kind of midrise building actually is doing well. The only thing "green" on this design however is the rainwater collection system, but the shower water (grey water) to toilet concept is actually a violation of code without treatment first. The better way to recycle water is to have mini treatment plant handling grey water locally then send it back for toilet flushing. It can be done with smaller scale than toilet water flushing.

    • @je6a478
      @je6a478 Před 2 lety +19

      Why is this an outdated concept?
      Which buildings look good lies in the eye of the beholder.
      They have got the perfect density for an urban environment.
      The streetscape has got a good amount of space for pedestrians and bicycles.
      Since mixed used midrise buildings can allow good walkability, there is high pedestrian traffic leading to good attendance of local shops.
      Do you think car centric single family zoning is better?

      @@aalexander928 Yes, I agree that more trees could have been planted alongside the streets - although there aren't none.
