So many duplicates
Some just 2 minutes apart from each other, the mattress first at 10+ mins then again at 12+.
Ikr, was lookin for this comment
Me too. I think whoever edited this one was REALLY not on his game when he did this.
The true Reddit experience
Because it's more than one video cut together to make a longer one.
I swear, people find the dumbest things to get mad about...
Super neat to listen to Robin react to the same things twice with only slight variations!

4:07 They don’t sanitize them because they have the disposable covers for each use. I’m guessing since it’s a doctors office, the rectal thermometer is only used for infants.
They should still sanitize it bro
They do sanitize them after every use, however when taking a persons temperature oral temp will be 0.5C lower than rectal. Which is why different ones are used, temperature differences
@@oceanfur__0415I'm guessing the ear as my dad did by nurses when he thought he had sepsis because of a UTI throwing body temp around like confetti is not as common now?
I don't care how much sanitizing you might do, the idea of sticking a thermometer in my mouth that had been up someone's butt is a deal breaker. By specifying this one for rectal and the other for oral, that is reassuring to the patient and much more sanitary.
I don't care how sanitized it has been, it's been stuck up more asses than I care to think about. Please keep it away from my mouth!
9:10
one key feature is missing from this image
the metal arm cuff would detach from the alarm. in situations with actual fires, this lets the person escape to then be unlocked later. but if someone tries to pull it as a prank, the authorities would know who did it
Was just about to comment this! It's just to mark the person so they know who pulled it so people don't pull it for no reason. Like putting wet paint around something valuable so no one steals it
Still bad design because as far as I can tell you can just reach around the cuff and pull it there
@@teathesilkwing7616 Maybe the picture shows it in its detached state, with any "reacharound-prevention" already disengaged. People back then couldn't have been THAT stupid during testing. ... Right?
@@teathesilkwing7616 You couldn't. The cuff attached to the bottom of the box. so to pull it, you'd have to reach up into the hole of the cuff to grab hold on the lever to pull it. There was no way to reach around.
@@KibuFoxsome mf with a long stick:
so i found out some information about the whole fiberglass bed thing apparently most beds used fiberglass in their construction around 2007 as a fire resistant material to protect the person on the bed however that was changed and even zinus changed their beds to have a carbon-rayon sleeve instead of using fiberglass and that fiberglass is probably illegal to use in a bed these days do to issues like op said maybe they got the mattress cause zinus had extra stock they didn’t want to trash and sell off instead but that’s very irresponsible and i wouldn’t buy a mattress from them regardless of the price and i would suggest that everyone else doesn’t buy one from them either
8:21 you know, at first glance with no context, I'd think somebody had an older pet that liked to look out the window, but age was taking its toll, so they cant jump up, so little stairs were needed to get them back in their favorite spot.
18:56 this is talking about glucose which is what we normally use as sugar. There are other sugars that will be considered on the list but not on the packaging.
if you have a BASEMENT APARTMENT in LONDON that you're ACCESSING THROUGH A WINDOW and you don't decorate the crap-ola out of it to make it hobbit, faerie and/or Peter Pan themed, then like... what are you even doing. its a ridiculous living situation but it does allow for some serious whimsy
12:15 Those electric cable are no joke guys, especially at night when people are usually going pretty fast. A few months ago, someone got caught in one. Safe to say, it was not pretty.
3:26
For those wondering what you're meant to do in a similar
All lifts and escalator will stop at the closest floor, and will no longer work
As it's the most dangerous places to be in a fire.
There are meant to be safety/fire resistant areas you are meant to wait in of you are unable to use the stairs to exit.
You should be escorted to the area by staff, (teachers ECT.) and wait till help arrives( you are the priority).
No idea why that guy was just left out on the open like that
That's a failed fire test right there
I was gonna say, this one definitely seems like a people failure not a design failure. Carrying a person down a flight of stairs doesn't seem that difficult if there's a whole bunch of people around.
@@doomse150
it's harder than you'd think
Depending on the needs of the person, you can end up hurting them, or yourself (people are heavy)
We've got evac chairs for this at our work.
They take the majority of the person's weight, hold them in a stable position, and doesn't roll the stairs unless you pushing them.
We have tracked chairs to put people in wheelchairs on. At least we have the boxes for them the only one I’ve seen inside of is empty,
@@angrybidoof847 Really? I'd have guessed you could just take four decently fit people, grab the four "corners" of the wheelchair, and carry them. I know how heavy people usually are, and I'd think four people should be able to carry that
I always figured in event of a fire, I was going to barbecue. Every time a fire alarm sounds -- usually a false alarm -- my soul shrivels up just a little bit.
When I was a kid, I used to imagine those slides that generate a lot of static electricity going down would give you the power to bend lightning like it was avatar. Genuinely felt like a badass for terrorizing my brother with static electricity.
At 28:32, this is in fact not inside a boat, but an NYC apartment that goes for $3000 a month, no joke.
1:49 Classic case of picture taken out of context. These warnings show up when you start the car, when you are still parked.
Thank you! I've only ever seen those stay on for a few seconds after the car starts moving, then they go away on their own.
Pretty much every car my family owns has this kind of warning, which disappears after all necessary seatbelts are fastened. I'm surprised people think it just appears _while_ you're driving, is it really that new/uncommon?
@@qatonfire7476 Yeah, mine shows up on startup, but is dismissed as soon as you hit the accept button, move faster than 5mph, or just let it sit for like 10 seconds.
It's just a heads up.I feel like I watched a lot of those things twice on this same show

I remember going up a lighthouse once, and there was no railing in the middle so if you tripped once you would probably die.

The Building at 09:00 is in Hamburg/Germany, a City known for near-constant strong Winds. The Building is nowhere near as Dangerous as it seems; Foundations, you know...
19:43 This looks like a public place, and this is a metal grid, also known as a conductive surface.
At least here in Germany such objects have to be grounded if installed in a public place, in the theoretical case that an electrical fault manages to electrify it. The cable is part of the ground loop and would short-circuit any source to trip the FI/RCCB immediately.
An open hole allowing water to seep behind the tiles of a shower is the real stupidity in this picture.
how did no one find this comment that wire Is literally green and yellow which would indicate grounding or (PE) ⏚

once at the local fair (the type that packs up and leaves) there was a farris wheel that shook when you got on it, like the whole structure shook. i rode saw the rust and broken lookingness of it and lived somehow.
3:26 I don’t know about elsewhere, but this is pretty common in the UK. I’ve known places that will avoid putting on the fire alarm, so wheelchair users can get out and less nice places, that basically say “sucks to suck, you probably won’t burn” and leave people trapped and traumatised.
5:45 Because some people's teeth fell off during the ride, the embedded teeth caused some abrasions on some riders 🙂
(I'm also pretty sure there weren't any actual engineers/anyone competent in charge of the slide's design... or all of Action Park in general.)
Addition: The Tidal Wave pool was one of the most common causes of death at the park.
They also had to build a trap door at the top of the loop because a guy got stuck there. The fact that anybody went to that park at all is insane.
This subreddit is a lot of "we have a concept that's been working for YEARS maybe even centuries, let's modernize it FOR SOME FUCKING REASON"

Emkay, on that cannonball slide, if the gforce doesnt kill you the impact will
40:23 fun fact: some guys at my school played with a Tennis ball recently and they hit the button for the fire alarm… Now they have to pay 1.2k€ for the damage they caused.
So the oral and recital thermometer had me dying, my mother does colonoscopy and gastroscopys she told me and I quote “if they have to have two, we don’t sanitize it, we go the gastro first then colon”
Big thing about the baby cages, they were used because tuberculosis was a big threat, alongside other rampant viral disease which would kill newborns and infants, so the idea was to use the cage to get them fresh air because it would help prevent those diseases.
As soon as widespread vaccinations started they quickly fell out of style.
11:50 in their slight defence those are earlier versions of Tallescopes a type of ladder with multiple safety measures added including a cage at the top and additions for stability at the bottom. Modern ones are way safer and have someone keeping an eye at the bottom and more features but some countries with lax safety regulations still use this simpler type and the workers adapt to it and the mortality rate is sometimes described as “not as high as you’d think it’d be when you first see the workplace”
4:08 Also, nurses put the thermometer in a disposable plastic covering before it’s inserted into the person so the thermometer literally doesn’t touch anything
finally, the compilation
8:05 those kinds of stairs are often used when you don't have enough length to have propper steps but you don't want a ladder. The steps are angled so that your whole foot has room on it and doesn't go over the space for the foot on the lower step
Everything starts evolving into crabs

Kai Tak was a haven for plane enthusiasts. My dad once would just stay in HongKong for days just to see planes banking and landing. And the best (and most dangerous) part is the planes coming and going from Kai Tak were gigantic like the queen of the skies 747 and the venerable dc 10 and c130

that piñata lamps reminds me of that gummibear lamp Spencer did for Carly in iCarly
4:06 no amount of sanitizing would comfort me
3:00 would at least be a really cool way to make it obvious where the extinguisher is *IF* the firefighter in the picture was more stylized instead of a photograph.
32:07 That’s gonna explode regardless of the gas pipe, so the pipe really just adds to the fun! 😂
I feel like the editors need to look over the videos more just to remove the duplicates, some are a few minutes apart
I’m under the belief that they always planned to do one meme video from old Kay days then come back either reshowing the meme to robin or the rest of the narrators thinking oh they won’t remember rinse wash repeat or just reupload the same clip
I feel a strange sense of deja vu..
17:06 this is the Gateway/NE 99th Ave Max station in East Portland, OR. That yellow box is where the older version of their ticket kiosks used to be mounted before they switched to a different kind of ticket.
40:20 ive legit had those go off from looking at them funny or breathing in thier general direction in my old schools.

8:04 witch stairs iirc. Witches supposedly can't get up them (so they were put in old buildings). People who still build them now just scare and confuse me (or maybe are more prepared than any of us for robber/zombies)
That airport in China with the planes flying between houses inspired a scene in Ghost in the Shell.
18:14 Oh hey, it's the well in Majula.
I can make an exception for 22:00
I’ve seen some places here in the US that do that. They have Elevators up away from the stairs. But still; they have elevators
8:05 iirc, stairs were built like this because witches couldn't climb them
My local hospital has an entrance where the ceiling is very bright and the floor is like striped because of the pattern. Those 2 things combined can make you really dizzy if you look at it wrong.
A. Hospital.
24:33 i believe both of you misunderstood this. This plate is, as bluntly as i can say it, a joke. When the possessor of these plates has guests over and they stay for dinner, when they finish the food on their plate, they will be greeted with this cryptic message. It will mean theyve been poisoned, when it's a joke. Most of the time.
fiberglass is probably the most common material used in mattresses. and that really needs to change.
The one in Bratislava is not for wheelchairs, but for bikes (you push it, not riding) and strollers. And it's not stupid at all. In fact, you can find them everywhere in Europe and it works great.
I understand why robin is mad now, reading the same meme over and over and being told to react in interesting ways, as well as looking at very frustrating images. It would drive any of us mad.

44:24 so.. first, we have fire extinguisgers that look like photos, now we have photos that look like fire extinguishers. What’s next? A fire extinguisher that blends in with the wall?
55:20 USB (basic USB, not the fancy USB C power delivery stuff) is 5V, so this would fry (probably) anything you plugged it into
1:52
One regular stick of gum has at least as much gum as 3+ times of those gumballs.
2:00 you can tell they’re really confident in their driving skills,
8:00 I can answer this! This kind of stair design is meant to take up less space. When you only make enough room for one foot per landing you can squish the staircase horizontally. They take ~1/2 - 2/3 of the space a normal staircase would.
They're also horribly inconvenient, impossible to use with even slight mobility issues, nightmare to navigate when carrying furniture or other bigger items and often dangerous since they tend to have higher steps and you cannot step both feet on the same landing. Do not build this BS.
39:47 now this... I have no words. I don't think it's meant to save space. Just to kill you. Thank the lucky stars we actually have building codes here to stop this madness.
refer to ISO 14122-3 or DIN 18065 for constrution of stairs
please note that a deviation between each step of no more than 2mm can greatly increase the risk for accidents
DIN 18065 allows a maximum of 5mm, but humans can be amazingly sensitive to small changes in that regard
if you run across a flight of stairs that routinely makes you trip or stumble, just check if it's up to code, you may find that you aren't clumsy, but that who ever made it screwed up
9:17 I could see this, but instead of locking your arm there, it locks a cuff to your arm and drops the cuff
so you can still escape in the event of a real fire, but you’ll have a pretty clear sign it was you if there’s not
8:44 I've been there! That's the SkyBar, it was in Sydney a few years ago

9:15 has popped up several times, and it's something that seems to confuse people, so here, I'll help. That's a type of signal box that would be located outside a building, typically on a telephone pole. From the days when not everyone had a phone to call for help. Problem was, those police and fire department call boxes were popular for thieves, kids, and general ass hats to prank by pulling the alarm and running when there was no need for the police or fire. To help prevent this behavior, this type of system was put in place in larger cities, and served to make it such that anyone who actually pulled the fire alarm, would stay put until authorities could arrive.
40:20 the top cage needs to be lower but is fine as its meant to protect the actual alarm device in this case a System Sensor Spectralert Classic its the bottom cage that is the issue as you cant activate the pull station which they could have put one of those plastic covers over it or changed it from a BG12LX to a N-MPS-2/2C and then added a flip up cover over it to protect it
