My favourite POI is the "UC Listening Post" because it is so short and sweet - you are dealing with the boss pretty soon. For the best loot I prefer the "Abandoned Outpost" (which actually has at least three different facilities within it) - there's stuff all over the place. I've set up outpost markers at a few level 75 ones so I can easily go back.
I have had bad luck with weapons lately but I’m at lvl 111. The biggest change in the game for me so far has been ships. I had never seen a Claymore III in the first four months of playing and have gotten two in the last two days. I’ll have to revisit the Muybrigde template again and see what I get. Thanks for the tip!
Wonderfully informative, Dean! A silly "experiment" I've done is in my penthouse I throw _every_ non-legendary weapon I find into the bathroom. It's waste-deep with over 1000(?) weapons, glitch-vibrating. I mount *all* the legendary weapons I find onto the wall. I have 14 - 8 of them melee, all crap. 😤 Am at level 130sumthin and have always played on the highest difficulty. So many cheers for the knowledge of why my drops have been dumps! 💩
Well, well, well, I watched your video today and just now, I was about to take off from my outpost on Feynman III. There is an outpost nearby that has a Spacer ship and a Va'ruun ship on the landing pad and just outside the POI. AND that outpost just happens to be Muybridge. I had nabbed an Ecliptic Claymore III from there last week and enjoying flying it around now. I have to get over there to see what on Earth is going on with those two ship, plus nab some loot. Feynman III is only level 55 unfortunately. Anyway, it's nice to have a neighbor I can raid often.
you sir are far and beyond the luckiest guy when it comes to loot. When I run this, where you get the Beowulf, I get a Spaced Equinox or some shit like that. My latest endevours gave me a Legendary... Sidestar. Thank you game, not... Maybe it's different on PC, I'm on xbox, but I don't think so. Plenty of different playthroughs, always the same. I get a decent pack and a good helmet early, and that's it for the rest of the game, no matter the settings. On my main playthrough (Level 168.. running), I tried every setting pre-patch and post-patch, it doesn't seem to make any difference when it comes to loot. I get the same shit regardless. However, the game became highly enjoyable for me from the moment I didn't give a shit about loot anymore because it almost doesn't seem to matter anyway.
I find that in my playthroughs that Muybridge tends to have Va’ruun opponents, increasing my chances of snagging an Inflictor or a Starshard. While I have my fair share of useless melee weapons and other poor firearms, I am quite pleased with my collection of legendary weapons and spacesuits. I am playing on the Series X.
Talk about Content Creator Luck 🤣 Muybridge is soooo good for loot. As you said, once you've found and cleared a Muybridge location head off planet and sleep for 100+ UTC hours to reset the template. Then return, rinse and repeat. Dont forget to check the armour on top of the lockers just inside the locked door.
I don't know why your game is so differant than mine. I found a couple of those facilties just last night and the best thing I got was a space adept kodama, and my sneak damage is only 3.1 even at the full +75% XP. You could be right about being at a higher level affecting the drops. I'm at level 133 but that doesn't explain the sneak damage. If your still running the beta version maybe they nerfed it for the full update.
You mentioned Muybridge before, so when i saw one recently I went to take a look and got 3 legendaries, 2 of them pretty decent and the other probably okay to give to a follower. Two of them were just sitting on racks. The third one was a legendary Inflictor that I found on an enemy. This was on normal difficulty.
It's all algorithm that can changes every so often during all game play. I'm almost level 200 and just went through ng+4 and I'm getting multiple legendary per location but was getting only rares right before. Also since the update I'm getting tons of ship landings Upton 3 at one time depending on planet texture. I give up trying to understand it anymore 😆
RNGsus let's you believe a lot of things. Loot doesn't get worse on high character levels. It's random. You throw the dice more often, you get better loot more often. The most loot points and opponents in my experience are in the industrial compounds. On a high level character at the end of a universe, there is a psychological effect fooling you. You have a lot of stuff already, the probability to get something better goes down. The loot feels best in a NG+, no matter the level you are. Everything you find that's minimum rare is better than what you have. But it's absolutely the same random loot. What makes a difference: System level. Because more advanced and superior stuff drops.
I have gotten most of my legendary weapons from that location, but i want a legendary hard target, but i never get one. I lime to snipe the bad guys from a distance.
There is a facility that gives hard targets at a higher rate. DeanPo did a vid on it. Some kind of abandoned mine. The one with the back door with the pipes that you can enter like a cave. The boss by the pool with the bridge over it tends to have hard targets I think. Or the chest next to him.

If you come at it from above it's an "He-3 Extraction Facility" and at some point it becomes an "Abandoned Refinery" but I think from a distance it is always an "Abandoned Outpost". It's nice - but Deanpo seems to have a special arrangement with God (or the Devs) so don't expect to emulate HIS luck.

I get good drops from this facility quite often. I prefer to come here with expert lock picking so I can look the cases which I have found many an epic or legendary weapon
That Muybridge cave seems a bit underwhelming - I kept expecting to find something there (other than lung damage) but apart from mediocre chests and such I haven't found anything (other than mr. Muybridge). Can't help feeling I must be missing something. Same with the key to the "staff quarters" (or whatever it's called) at the Abandoned Outpost - haven't found the lock opened by that one.
Just a FYI since the update it's been difficult to steal ships now it's glitch as soon as you make a stolen ship your home ship your main ship disappears and I was wondering if you could make a video about this please and thank you very much by the way really appreciate your feedback and your videos 👍
I'm on PC, lvl 126 NG+6. Yes the loot drop seems ordinary. Muybridge has been lousy. I'll take my low-level character out for a run, see how that goes.
I see you're still using armor, helmets, and packs. Weapons too. Fair enough. You know. You don't need any of that. Bare hands and powers are all you need. Level 216. I'll just keep getting stronger. Soon I won't even need powers. You know that don't you?

It does have good drops but only in high level systems
It should be obvious that top tier loot is mainly found in higher level systems... the damage slider only affects the damage output %...
