      "There are weight classes for a reason"
      Classic argument. Weight classes exist because the sports safety boards demanded that weight classes be implemented because they think a subjectively big man fighting a subjectively small man looks "unsafe" (ironic).
      Bob Fitzsimmons held 3 boxing titles in his day way back in the late 1800s, he held these titles in the middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight divisions while weighing between 160 to 170 lbs, often his opponents outweighed him by 40 to 50 lbs proving that it isn't physically impossible for the smaller man to succeed. I believe that history often has a way of repeating itself as we have seen time and time again with smaller than average fighters such as 5'10" Mike Tyson who bulldozed the competition in the heavyweight division regardless of how much taller and heavier his opponents were compared to himself.

      @@jcpenny3606 Yes, the size difference was a major factor here, but did you miss how expertly the elephant protected its trunk, biding his time until the rhino lunged forward and struck his left tusk, toppling the rhino with ease?
      Of course, he had a size and strength advantage, but he could easily have taken that horn to his eye or trunk, either of which could have wound up killing him from infection.
      Instead, he totally dominated the rhino without getting so much as a scratch.

      @@Gunners_Mate_Guns I doubt the rhino's horn could reach the elephant's eye. He might be able to puncture a little tiny hole into the truck, but the elephant's skin is very thick and tough, and even the trunk is powerful. In this type of face off match, I've never seen a rhino win. The rhino's best chance and probably the only chance to hurt the elephant is by charging at it from 50 yards out and spear the elephant from behind.. At such close distance however like what's shown, the rhino doesn't have enough momentum and leverage to stab its horn entirely into the elephant.

    • @Gunners_Mate_Guns
      @Gunners_Mate_Guns Před 2 měsíci

      @@jcpenny3606 You would be wrong that a rhino can't kill an elephant because of the elephant's skin.
      Some years back, I watched a documentary about Asian elephant that featured one of the rangers who had dubbed a large bull "Inspector General" that sadly got gored to death by an angry rhinoceros.
      It was and Indian rhino that gored Inspector General, a rhino species a bit smaller than either the white or black rhino that live in Africa.
      Also, the Indian rhino has a short and relatively blunt horn compared to the larger and sharper horn on the black rhino, with the white rhino having a considerably longer horn, as well as a shorter horn closer to the head that's still much longer and sharper than the single horn on the Indian rhino.
