The Rollei 35 Classic was a special edition model introduced by Rollei over a decade after ceasing normal production of the Rollei 35. A few different versions were made in silver, black, gold, and more to celebrate Rollei’s heritage. Although they feature a lot more plastic than the original models, these pieces are Made-In-Germany and feel extremely solid. They also feature some truly excellent Rollei-HFT lenses.

What’s the orange dial for?
What orange dial? I watched three times and didn't see one. This was made after Rollei went bankrupt by the company which bought up the tools and parts for the Rollei 35. It probably dates from the mid-1980s, as it uses the 35S core, but still uses the mercury battery and "inside battery loading, while adding a hot shoe to the top deck. Add a hard plastic exterior skin with detail changes and an insane price tag, and there you go, the "Classic". Too bad they ditched the later 35SE/TE body and superior metering system.
