#newguitar #fender This one is another ramble, so grab a snack, sit back and enjoy. I'm very excited to have purchased this fender new porter, a guitar I've wanted for a long time now.
Love this guitar and your enthusiasm for it and music in general. I and my untrained ear will come back later and tell you which pickup/mic setting I liked best. I’m sure that will influence your playing greatly. 😂
I’m back after a week of vacation. I really like the mic/acoustic blend the best. Loved the finger style playing and the “harmonics” you got from lightly touching the strings. I don’t know what that’s called, but it’s really pretty. Keep playing!
Thanks! It's a riff I stole from John Scallon (brother of Rob Scallon). If you look up '30 minutes of acoustic guitar with John Scallon' you can hear him play the riff much better than I can😅
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. I'm not 100% sure, but I do think the newporter is thinner by a little over a half inch. The newporter body is smaller in general, closer to concert size. According to a little research, a standard dreadnought body is ~4.875" thick while the newporter is about 4.17". Not sure of the accuracy of that entirely
You seem very happy. It makes me happy to see it, too😊
That's very sweet of you
I love your passion ❤. Best gear review I've seen in a while!
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it!
This is amazing! Thanks for sharing! Merry Christmas!
Thanks Eunice! Merry Christmas to you as well!

Thank you Mimi! Haha, well any comments help greatly as long as they are well intended☺️

Great! I think I liked the mic/pickup blend too. Thanks so much, and yes harmonics are exactly right; I hope you had a great vacation!
What were you playing in the beginning of the video? I love it!

It looks gorgeous, I’m thinking about getting this guitar or a Malibu but for now I think I like the Newporter more 😮
Yes it is beautiful! I highly recommend it😊
Thanks for the education Andrew-Don Monday.
Thanks for watching Don!
Hello,
Great video 👍🏻
Is this guitar body thinner than a Fender dreadnought? I struggle with the thickness of mine.
Thank you. Pete
