    This is... A bunch of nonsense?
    Even if the diamonds are made using energy from hydrocarbons, it's still more environmentally friendly than mining it.
    If you dig stuff out of the ground... No matter how well you cover and patch up that hole, there was still harm done.
    Besides, where did you get the energy for digging the hole in the first place?
