Diamonds are overrated for most rich people. I bought a real diamond engagement ring for my Fiance. During pandemic , we both worked crazily in the public field and were never at home. One night, we came back home after being robbed. Insurance only covered half the value of the diamond ring because they said the resale value dropped. My point being is, buy what you can afford and what you are comfortable with. Don't let social media and friends affect your budget. Diamond is just a rock at the end of the day and even one day , you are in the misery and need quick cash, its not worth that much. The best investment jewelery are watches like Rolex. These never drops in prices but only goes up. Do yourself and your woman a favour, get a moissonite ring but also get her a Rolex watch. She will be very happy.
Lab grown it's real and cheaper plus no one was enslaved to get it.
Another point to add is a good woman who loves the environment and her hubby to be will also not mind the moissy at all. Moissy all the way!
@@jbone9900 that too is a huge deal breaker for me
Get her whatever she wants. Like you did.
that's why rich people use real diamonds..is more expensive and it worth nothing after you buy it.. is showing off how they throw their money.
It blows my mind that Moissanite is only recently gaining popularity. I have been wearing my Moissanite Solitaire Studs for 18 straight years. They are as stunning today as the first day I put them in. I've proudly sworn by Moissanite since then.
Love it!
They were patented until 2018, only one company was making them. Now anyone can make them and the price has dropped.
Facts same with me
I have a Moissanite band ring that I have worn for a good 12 years now ,and still looks great.
I love it too!
My engagement ring is moissanite and I love it. I actually prefer the look over a diamond.
I love the lab grown stuff because they're basically perfect and some lab gems can be super cheap like rubies! It's cool that virtually anyone can have their favourite stones now! :D
I just ordered some super inexpensive lab created rubies, sapphires and emeralds from India. I want them just to have lab gems in a collection. Will order garnets too.
I have a pendant, earrings, and ring. You'd be surprised how many jewelry stores sell lab rubies, because of prices for rubies. Don't the US still have an embargo against Burma. So we don't import rubies from them now, unless we changed that. Lab stones are not fake, like rubies are grown from a small "seed" of the real thing.
Good stuff. Lots of good information. I was expecting you to be in favor of one or the other but you kept it straight, just giving the facts. Much appreciation. Thanks for the video.
An honest review and have earned my trust as a gem connoisseur. My wife loves her Moissanite
I have a moissanite engagement ring and love it. It’s stunning!
Answers all of my questions including ones I had not thought of yet 🤔 Wonderful video and refreshingly entertaining. Thank you 🙏🏼
Glad you enjoyed it!
I’m in love with your videos
Moissanite is actually DOUBLY REFRACTIVE.
Meaning, it splits the light that goes into the stone, and bounces off the facets and back up to the eye into TWO.
That's why you can take a diamond and moissanite that both have the exact dimensions and facet pattern, put them side by side and the moissanite will look like it has more facets. Which is why you get more of the flashes of white and colors dancing around the gem. They’ve got to cut moissanite differently to get it to appear more subdued like that of a diamond. But Charles & Colvard have made some amazing headway in developing cut patterns to help moissanite look almost identical to it’s diamond counterpart. But it takes a great lapidary to pull it off.
So does moissanite shine better?
@@thuglife2ea424 yes, this is what gives moissanite the superior shine or fire per say
Why would you want LESS shine? Smh
@@ThomasBomb45 some say the moissy can appear like a disco ball which looks. About tacky for some.
I got a Charles and Colvard moissanite just recently…you just explained why it looks so much like a diamond. I was looking forward to the brilliant rainbow colours honestly but regardless, it’s still the most beautiful ring I’ve ever seen so…I’m not complaining 😊
personally, I prefer lab-made sapphires they're blue-r and sparklier, I didn't know diamonds could be created in a lab too
At last a honest explanation. Thank you for it.
Nice video. Good filter points for each stones..
Love your videos!
I award you the best presenter in yutube 2020!
its the way the light reflects through the Diamond/Moissanite stone like water in a partially frozen ice cube that makes it stand out.. the paparazzi camera type flashes that pierce your vision
Thank you for taking the time to edit your shirt to change color 😂made my day
No problem 😊
I noticed that too.
Thanks for the information. I will choose man made gemstones from now on for the sake of the environment 😊
Can you make a video comparing the comfort of different ring and wedding band types? And maybe a,so compare durability of a prong vs bezel setting for a stone of varying size? It would be helpful to know how often people catch their ring on things or need repairs with various styles.
Thank you for this very informative video!
Love mossanite, so much more fire in the gem. But always ask for the certificate
But moissanite is not as hard or durable than lab diamonds. You have to clean it more often no?
@@Hboogie182 no not at all , moissanite can only be scratched by diamond itself , 2nd hardest in the world for a reason
@Flip my Mask you do realise moissanite is rarer than diamond to find naturally? And is far to small once found to create a natural gemstone out of it , so i highly doubt you find it on your beach strolls
It's really up to personal preference, how the light dances around the stone. i personally do not like moissanite, will go for lab grown.
Always make sure to have it for resale.
I would like to see a video showing/explaining the difference between colorless and near colorless moissanite and maybe show them in different cuts if it makes a difference.
So type it in on CZcams. It's Brilliant vs Forever One.
Very good.
Darker ones go on yellow and rose gold. The lighter ones go on platinum and white gold. They have a few videos as well. The darker ones are much cheaper cause they are more "flawed" the darker they are but they usually aren't noticed as much as yellow gold and hence used on yellow gold the most.
Also out of the 4 C's. Cut is always the most important in case you were wondering. They also have excellent cut. Ideal cut (which is after excellent) and some places super rare have a cut called super ideal hearts and arrows cut and they have a trademarked patent machine to cut them perfectly like that. They also have single cut which is I believe 16 facets and full cut which has 57 facets. Some melee (melee is small diamonds) have only single cut because some jeweler's don't think you will notice or that it is worth it for the extra effort to cut small melee diamonds fully. So you have
1. Type of cut. (Single or full)
2. Cut quality (bad, good, very good, excellent, idea,l and in some rare places, super ideal hearts and arrows.
3. You have types of cut designs..(8 hearts, 10 hearts, cats eye, constellation, round brilliant etc).
As you can see, cut gets overwhelming and confusing very quickly.
Color DEF almost all look the same and GHI almost look like them as well to naked eye which can save lots of money. And then JKL can be used on yellow gold to save money. In my opinion, white gold is the most expensive out of yellow gold and rose gold because it uses near colorless diamonds which are more expensive and it needs to be rhodium plated. White gold 18k also cost more than platinum at the moment.
@@jdogg5543what is the hearts and arrows cut in moissanite? Is it the best cut ?
Synthetic rubies was quite common in USSR which ceased to exist way earlier than 20 years ago.
And more to that the 'synthetic gem crystals have been manufactured since the late 1800s'
Thank you for the explanation
You have a very clear explanation.
Diamond clear.
I mean crystal clear.
But this is about diamonds. So Diamoond clear again.
Thank you for this!
Oh also I would like to see a size comparison of moissanite side by side on a female hand. I would especially like to see this in a radiant cut or enlongated cushion.
moissanites look exactly like diamonds
@@shirleywang1973 I do believe the blind can draw social security checks, might wanna look into it.
Awesome video. Thank you so much
Glad you liked it!
Great video, just the one I’ve been waiting for. As a collector of gemstones I have many different types of Maisonette from 9~12 carat. I don’t own any pure Diamond as they cost too much, but have noticed a slight reduction in price. That being said, my favourite diamond like has to be natural Zircon (mainly from Cambodia). Zircon is much older than Diamond by about one billion years, comes in many colours and has an outstanding fire. Thank you for taking you time and effort in making this production, it’s much appreciated. Rog from Wales 🏴.
Zircon is not as strong, hard, than a real or laboratory produced Diamond. And it hasn't that colour reflection as a Diamond.
Rolf lanzinger - no it is not as hard as Diamond on the MOHS scale, but it does have a more brilliant light refraction than Diamond. It depends on the 4 ‘C’s’ of the stone.
Your talking about natural Zirconia aka czs right not the fake plastic cheap version of it.
Giovanni Dubon - yes, the naturally mined Zircon, not the man made Cubic Zirconium. You can tell the difference by it’s density, it’s easily damaged and the price.

I wish you’d show more videos of the gemstones you feature in more natural/common everyday lighting and conditions instead of super zoomed in studio lighting videos..just a suggestion :) I still wonder what they’d look like with a more “real life” POV if you get what I’m saying xx
I find myself preferring to see this whenever I watch your videos, especially comparison ones :) xx
The Moissanite sparkles like that and 10x more in natural lighting. Look up forever one videos and you'll see regular people showing them off.
Hi! Good informations to everybody who 're like the diamond. Thanks
Answered all my questions
nice vid...just bought moissanite stud earrings and they are way more brilliant than my diamonds at a fraction of the cost...unreal!
Where did you buy them?
It's a good explanation..I like it.its so helpful fo
The video it very helpful to those who wants to buy a diamond..
EXCELLENTLY SAID
I am currently watching jtv moissanite beautiful. Will buy me one soon
Thanks for the video. Ordered a 2.5 carat Moissante Vivid Yellow from China for my center stone replacing my 1 carat mined diamond. I would of never been able to afford a 2.5 carat mined diamond.
You'll love it.
Vivid yellow is astounding.
As people start to realize that moissanite is basically the exact same thing and look even better. They'll be worth more than diamonds.
I agree! Get your moissanite now
@@gitchygitchyyaya if that happens...just buy diamonds lol

Natural diamond seems to have a subtle golden hue to it

Did it not phase either of you that he was, in fact, talking about COLORS when you began to hallucinate?

I love my lab diamonds. I defy anyone with a natural eye to be able to tell the difference. The other factor that will make a lab diamond more affordable is the previous metal used in the design. You don't need to insure most lab diamond designs as opposed to a natural diamond set in platinum of gold.
"I love my lab diamonds. I defy anyone with a natural eye to be able to tell the difference." or under a micro-scope because they are Diamonds!
customer values have changed, people don't love slave labor natural diamonds. prices are still inflated for lab diamonds, and so a lot of people are turning to alternatives in stones and indie craftwork, etsy sellers etc. it's uniqueness vs. tradition, and concern for ethical sourcing.
Tommy De Beers won't be happy, especially as they've been hoarding natural diamonds to control the price, their vault would be decreasing in value, especially as they're not ethically sourced.
Yes
My man you pick out one for me I'll be happy whatever you get me wrong if you can if it's only silver I will love it anyway
Very helpful!
Glad you think so!
I love my Moissanite diamond cut 3.75 so much! 🥰🤩🌈
How much lower, at this time, Nov. 2022, is the resale price of these 3 types of gems as compared to their original purchase or sale price??? How much is lost at resale, at this time?? So, like a car losing value as soon as it leaves the dealer's lot, how much lower in value are these gems worth as soon as they leave the jewelry store?? (i.e., diamonds, moissanite, & lab gown diamonds??? And would they lose in value at the same percentage across the board??)
Good informational video
Glad you think so!
Thanks
The "seed" of a lab grown is still mined though right?
I subacribed coz u nailed it
Not trying to split hairs, but just to clarify for folks that may not be aware. Moissanite is a natural stone. It's just that often moissanite found is not large enough. So they sre not exclusively man made. But probably most of them that folks purchase are. If someone was worried about avoiding destructive mining processes, they may want to check how the moissanite was obtained
Moissanite comes from meteorites so it’s highly unlikely that any that are sold are not lab created
I have also black diamond moisanite
Magnificent
Thanks.....
Where did all of you buy your mossanite?
with the median price of a house in the USA being almost $500K, lab and Moissanite are excellent alternatives if you are saving for a house for young people today. Diamonds 🥰 , but lets face it, SUPER expensive.
I have all three because I want multiple rings!
Helpful👌🏿
Glad it helped
I like diamonds and metwrote stories very good

Hi, I would like to ask the amount, value of reselling my moissanite gem.
Wonder how many are being passed off as real diamonds
Is it uncommon to see full pave moissanite rings? I noticed mostly only big stones are popular? Love the sparkle of pave so curious
No you just gotta know what you're looking for. I got my moissanite eternity band on etsy
JuliaBJewelry on Etsy has very pretty ones.
I think that it’s because most of the top sellers only make them a certain size…too large for pave.
I only buy moissanite in 14k. It is so sparkly.

I've just found you and I loved it. Question, what are the carbon amount differences between the Moissanite, lab and natural. How much carbon is in each one.?.
Diamond crystal is all carbon. Moissanite is SiC.
What about the blood spilled by the people harvesting natural diamonds? Are natural diamonds worth the lives lost and the mobsters making billions each year off of others suffering?
Yes
it all comes down to humanity's perception of value. Things that are easy to get i.e. Lab are not worth their attention. Only when sacrifices are involved do they see value in them. This is the sad reality of the world we live in. I just bought a lab grown engagement ring and the traceability and social awareness does feel really good.
@@aidentan6879 I'd also take a lab one any time before a natural one. And to think they weren't even that expensive, until De Beers started heavily marketing it by telling men they are lesser than, if they can't afford them. Gross.
@@Ocudavidimvideooo At the end of the day, it all boils down to how you and your loved ones feel. If they believe that beauty of a diamond can be achieved ethically at a cheaper price then I guess you truly found the right one :)
@@aidentan6879 I found so far that depending on men isn't the wisest thing to do, so I got the diamonds on my own 😁
I have a question can we wear it regularly like doing home chores ,washing dishes .Or it will fade
Moissanite is 2nd hardest next to only diamond. It is very durable and typically stands the test of time as long as it does not encounter brute force. Thanks!
good inf bro👍👍🇳🇵
Thanks ✌️
To Me, it makes no difference at all! We Humans with our 20/20 vision can't really tell which is which! Sometimes we can see a difference in the cut of the stone because like anything else, when Mas Produced there is the good and not so good. So IMO, the bottom line is how Satisfied are you with the product you are buying! Enjoy your Purchase and be happy!
Got a 2 carat lab grown Diamond for our 10 year anniversary and it’s such an upgrade compared my .5 carat. Super happy with the size and sparkle. I was out and about and noticed that my ring, when the light in the stores hit it, it has rainbow. Does this mean it’s fake? I looked it up and that’s what comes up first. I would be so pissed. Got the ring from Jared’s.
The fire is more intense in a lab grown because its more pure.. 2 carat vvs1 D real diamond would cost over $20,000.. If the cut and polish are the same, both rings would have the exact same fire.
I noticed its sometimes the color of some lights like walmart has yellows lights. The. Sun obviously is natural light no problem there.
Can you do a video showing the size vs price, let's say a 1 carat, of the 3? Mined diamond, lab diamond, moissanite diamond?
Moissonette : 1 ct is 100 USD
Natural Diamonds : 1 ct GIA AAA is 10.000 USD

Big diamond companies are all heading towards lab stones
Yep, DeBeers now produces lab-grown diamonds after years of being condescending towards them. 🙄

QUESTION:
Is it possible to test a Hybrid Diamond
to see whether or not real diamonds are in the Hybrid Diamond ❓
Lol what
Yes. A jeweler can verify through testing however not a visual test
I wasn't referring to mine diamonds
I was referring to the fact that Lab-grown are the solution for the high price of mine diamonds.
You can like it or not but moissanite are not diamonds they are made out of silicon but again if you like it that your choice enjoy it.

Who is your distributor?
Are simulated diamonds the same as lab grown diamonds?
No, Simulated diamonds are also known as diamond simulants and include things like cubic zirconia (CZ), moissanite, and YAG. They can also include some natural clear gemstones like white sapphire, white zircon or even clear quartz. ... They are real diamonds but not grown by Mother Nature
@@C_71 wrong buck oru moissanite is fake made of silicon while lab grown are real carbon just man made.
Usually, the only way to tell a lab diamond is that it lacks the faults found in a natural stone.
A lab diamond can be just as flawed with inclusions, yellowing, poorly cut, etc. as a natural diamond. They are scored and graded just the same, by the same gem labs. An S2, K color lab diamond is just cas easy to find as a natural diamond graded the same. The process replicates nature therefore it produces the same variables.
I wonder if labs will be able to recreate that as well to make them indistinguishable
@@sail253 they pretty much are
