diamond testers cannot show you lab grown vs natural. Both kinds of diamonds have the SAME optical + physical properties. You can, however make sure when you buy from a reputable dealer that you know what you are buying. And remember lab grown diamonds make be cheap + even cheaper, as they flood the market, there price will go way down.

I got a Gemoro Testerossa , it detects diamonds ( earth and lab )
moissanite, and red ruby sapphire ,
white sapphire , blue sapphire ( earth and lab ) .

Can you please talk about phosphorescence in lab diamonds in addition to type 2A and 2B lab diamonds? Thanks!

Moissanite diamonds are better if you are on a budget. The real diamond 💎is a lot more money 💰and the re sale value you really don't get much money to sell it. I rather purchase moissanite diamond or lab diamonds because of the cost.

Moissanite is its own mineral, totally different than a diamond.

Lab or natural they really aren't different except for creation method. If you have to spend tens of thousands to tell the difference

I thought by law, lab diamonds need to be stated it on the stones girdle. Not sure and would be hard to do on smaller diamonds. Specifically (365nm) UV black light. Amazon $20 I believe ONLY a ND will fluoresce blue. A LD will fluoresce green or red or none. As will CZ, White Sapphire, Glass and Moissanite.

If I buy a moissanite ring now, can I replace it later with a similar size diamond.

There is another way for someone to be 100% sure they are getting a natural mined diamond vs a lab created diamond . That is to not purchase a diamond that isn’t certified by the GIA. Natural diamonds that are GIA certified have the cert number etched on the girth of the diamond. The cert number on the GIA report should match the cert number on the girth of the diamond .A reputable jeweler will have no problem allowing their customer to view their diamond under magnification prior to purchase as well as anytime it’s brought in to be cleaned or serviced . GIA as far as I know does not certify lab diamonds . Lab created diamonds are mostly certified by the IGI (International Gemological Institute) and should also have a cert number etched on the girth of the diamond that shows it’s a lab created diamond . Sadly , so many people are unaware of the importance of purchasing a GIA certified diamond . Purchasing a non GIA certified diamond is less costly , however in the end it could wind up being even more costly if the jeweler is not an honest reputable jeweler . I have seen Natural diamonds side by side next to Lab diamonds . There is no way in the world the average person or even the average jeweler can tell the difference , not even with a jewelers loop . Unless a person has a specific reason for only wanting natural mined diamonds , I would say go with a lab diamond , save the money , don’t worry about the value because buying a natural mined diamond is just like buying a brand new car . A car depreciates the minute you drive it out of the dealer lot. A diamond depreciates the minute it’s set in a ring and you walk out of that jewelry store . The average 1-2 carat diamond sold today especially for engagement rings , come a dime a dozen . You never ever get back what you pay for it . Most only find that out if they ever try to sell it . Hence why the slogan from the De Beers Advertising campaign “A Diamond is Forever “ was and still is the most successful marketing campaign ever !

  • @audenhealey2643

Moissanite is not a fake diamond because it is a gemstone in its own right, just like a sapphire. Why is it being so heavily compared to diamond? You could say the same thing about white sapphires.
