Ava summing it up with “the two leaders arguing over which party was more racist” is the most depressing and accurate thing I’ve heard today. Sorry Ava.
Hester has clearly managed to buy an profitable association with the Tory party. We know he paid £10M over 12 months and that was enough to also buy forgiveness for talking about killing a Member of Parliament. I wonder what is the lowest price the Tories would accept for that. How much does it cost to talk about the death of the PM for the colour of his skin? By keeping Hester as a donor, by keeping his donations, they are implicitly accepting that it's ok to talk about these acts for money.
Hollinrake is my MP and he's been a nobody for so long, only now that he's fallen in the mess of being Post Office minister, he's now getting airtime. I'm just glad he's absolutely floundering and tripping over himself with everything he says. He's been a twat locally for a long time, I'm just glad the rest of the country is seeing it now.

Why would you care if a trade union donated to a party, that means a group representing millions of british workers supports what a party is going to do. Surely that is infinitely better than a couple of millionaires and billionaires who many are from or live overseas funding a party.
Because while I'm happy to be a trade union member for the support and protections a good union can provide, I wouldn't be happy with them contributing to Labour as it would appear that they would be legitimising Starmer's awful centre right position. Thankfully they don't contribute to Labour for that reason
@@JSmith19858 You don't have to be affiliated or pay them but I think having a political vehicle for workers, which of course is what labour was originally meant to be is a great thing.

Everyone should become comfortable with going to the cinema on your own. A personal treat, not dependent on the whims and judgments of another person. Want to sit right in the front row? Nobody can stop you. Want to watch that mediocre crap that your favourite auteur just released? Do so without the guilt-trip of how much of a waste of time and money it was. If you always need someone else to witness the life you're living, is it really your life?
Be careful saying give money to charity to the current government, they could fuck it up and give 5% of GDP to a money laundering scheme calling themselves a charity
Normalise going to the cinema alone for god sake! Your going to sit in a dark room in silence and focus 100% on a film; why is this a social to not be with someone?!
Please, I beg you, don't change a damn thing about these podcasts! They are the only thing keeping me politically sane, at the moment. Always listen to them in the car, but had to get home and watch Ed make Oli jump and the last 5 minutes. Just brilliant and hilarious.
Spice is closer to the actual spiced that a tribe of Bedouins became immensely profitable in trading. They then used their wealth to build the ancient city of Petra, carved into the desert stone, bit like a sietch.

Lynch’s Dune is definitely worth seeing just for how completely insane it is. Dude, needing to milk a cat with a rat glued to it in a box to stay alive…

Ed is 100% right about watching films alone at the cinema, one of lifes great pleasures
I'm watching this having just come back from the cinema where I watched Dune part 2 alone (it was excellent); freaky
I wonder how long will it be before it is lost.
Even if you go with a group to watch Killers of the flower moon in cinema, you'd be on your own by the end of the movie anyway
Museums and cinema, the only two things better alone.
Honestly. There's something really relaxing about it, especially a late viewing where there's 3 other people there
