We need The Wall Live Films HD, i know you're hiding them somewhere, Rog!
Would be nice, but at least the old DVD had uncompressed LPCM audio (i.e. Blu-ray quality) ... so you can get _most_ of the way there if your player upscales DVD video to a decent standard.
EDIT: Oh, you've edited your post and added "Live" - thought you were talking about the 1982 film. Which also needs an HD release.

I've heard it said repeatedly that almost nothing for the tour was filmed in HD, just a couple of tracks which were released on the immersion box set, and I believe at least partly available on CZcams. I've also seemed to hear Roger suggest that he has more than this in his possession, but no evidence has been forthcoming.
@@lapelcelery42just the 1 song and some small clips. And there’s a lot more than that that was filmed and will likely never see a release.

Roger, you must miss the good old days before DSOTM made you a capitalist in the old days but I remember Granchester meadows and all the beautiful songs you made before the DSOTM , Animals and Wish you were here. I loved listening to Obscured by clouds, Relics and others while listening to children play outside and birds singing etc. My wife put on WYWH on autoplay, the album, she was overdue and they died that night. I saw you perform The Wall in Dublin around 2010. A masterpiece. You gave me great joy and I thank you. I wish you made your political views obvious earlier. I'm not a Social media type. Interesting. Roger and Neil Young are the LAST TWO who never SOLD OUT. Everyone else today STARTS as a Sell out. The songs now must not Enlighten nor Inform. The goal is most views. Quality and integrity do not exist in modern music. It's a numbers game. And they are all eager to participate.
Takes a lot of personal courage, stamina to produce music dealing with very disturbing, depressing reality that most have no desire to connect with. Those involved in it, usually have to go it alone, against the tide!

I know Roger is a big Neil Young fan, but I'm still surprised in that a lot of Roger's work is more internal looking, based on actual events, while Neil's is much more fictional and storytelling based. I would have sworn he'd have picked something by John Lennon, particularly from his first solo album. Nonetheless, Neil Young is a great choice, and Powderfinger is one of his best songs from one of his best albums, Rust Never Sleeps (the title coming from an ad he once saw by a company dealing in that field).

💌Your answer surprised me... In my opinion, the best achievements in Rock music have been British. I madly loved Mark Knopfler's Dire Straits, second only to Pink Floyd, and especially "Brothers in Arms" was at the top of my Hit in the mid 80s/90s.
