I’ve found the best strategy is use the 12 g pump, let them land, shoot one on the ground and get them as they fly away, I get 6-8 geese each flock this way
I use the 12 pump, grankins, 20 guage and 2 22s, the entire flock didn't get a chance lol
I do the same😅🤣
Use a tripod stand so that the stay in shotgun range for a longer time.
I use the 10 Guage

What I've found that helps is that most fields work for goose hunting. I have tried many fields and most work. The big fields are better because it is easier to find geese you shot. Whenever I shoot geese they mostly come in during the morning. Their are fewer flocks during the day. You don't really need a stand or blind you can just lay down and it works just fine, though with stands/blinds you will get less hunting pressure not that it matters much for goose hunting.

For the newer players amongst us who are also looking to gain some pistol score. I found that the Anderson .22LR was just as good as the rifle variant on short ranges. I had 0 pistol score when I started goose hunting and unlocked the Rhino 454 the same day while also making a lot of money. Wouldn’t recommend the birdshot pistols, the Anderson was the most reliable and fun for me.

Can confirm. comes with 30 decoys and 1 blind. the goose caller you have to buy for 6000. the shotguns are free. so essentially you only need to pay 6000 to start this if youve just bought the dlc.

I've personally had more luck hunting on the north side of the map than the south side.
After watching this I went goose hunting for the first time. His first spot yielded a diamond on my 5th flock.
Btw, flock frequency is much lower on xbox. Layed in the field from 500-1300 and had 6 flocks.

Idk if its true but i think the 20 guage semi auto is really good for geese as well i feel like the pellets spread more so its easier to get more than one with one shot
The other day I shot 2 diamond geese and the first one was max 9 trophy score and the second one was a 8.60 and then the day after I shot a 8.60 again on my own map
If somebody buys the 2019 edition of this game (It's abou half cost of the whole package) they get enough DLCs to make one whole setup like this and then they can spend around 24 000 to make another one.

Hey flinter do you have to set your decoys up in a need zone or can you set up pretty much anywhere?
There’s a great spot next to the first one it’s great for fallow deer roe deer and geese

First time trying this I used the 410pistol and it actually worked fairly well it was fun to use until I had to reload it took forever 😂

Actually, all the items come with the DLC for free except for the goose caller so it only costs you 6k once and you can make that money back in one flock

Any tips for aiming and hitting them with the 10g shotguns on PS4 for a new player I seem to be a terrible shot!😫😆
The most I've seen from a level 4 is 1300 Gold. I normally get 1-2 4s every 3-4 flocks and 2-4 3s in every flock. I've shot probably close to 200 geese and havent even seen a level 5 or a rare yet. Everything has been common or uncommon.

any set up i hunt i kill like 3 geese an hour but when they first came out id kill like 200-250 an hour
Geese could be on Layton. Mississippi. Colorado. I think Layton geese would be really fun.
Red deer are pretty awesome for money too but they run too fast to get them in bulk like u can with the geese
I think the dlc you talk about comes with game on PS4. I had layout blind, 15 decoys and Strecker 20gauge, Caversham 12gauge, recurve bow from start and they are labeled as dlc but i didn't pay for them. .22 also i think.
Why do most of the flocks I encounter go alert once I try to call them down? Is it because of the hunting pressure? I am just sitting in my blind calling them and they usually go from calm to alert as they descend.

Within 20 minutes of playing revontuli the first time I got 4 gold geese and a diamond goose. I just happened to see a small flock of them flying over low,maybe 10 geese total. I was pretty happy with that

Ever since the goose and duck spawn nerfs way back, I have never been able to find a single goose/duck in playing multiple hours in game. Before the nerf, it was so much easier.

Layout blinds are finicky on console. When you select your weapon you make the jumping noise and scare the geese

noob question here.. about goose/duck hunting, how you deal with the hunting pressure? i lost lots of need zones in two series of shots because first i hunt mallard and second i hunt rabbit both with colt45. do you wait a pack of goose in an empty (of need zones) area? do the goose keep coming even with the very purple hunting pressure?
They keep coming back at least for me

Ok, so 20 ga buckshot is not ethical. I don’t even have 12 ga birdshot unlocked, but I’ve also heard it’s not as effective as 20 ga. Is that true?
So i have a lot of gamer friends. I like all kids of games. Huge oldschool halo fan, i like the jurassic park building games, i loved the 3rd or first person single player action games. Last of us, dead space, horixon zero dawn, mad max and days gone, god of war(s) resident evil(s), splinter cell, mass effect, dark souls, halo, elder scrolls, dying light, subnautica, i dig some vania/rogues like ori, salt and sanctuary, dead cells, i mean, you name it, i play it.
And when people ask me that lofty question…
What are the best games of all time. I have quite a few but, the hunter: call of the wild, is always up there. Right at the top section of my list. And so many hardcore gamers have no idea it exists.

I found a massive level 9 red deer that was without a doubt gonna be diamond. I called it in and he was very close but when I went for the double lung I accidentally had my 30-06 zeroed for 300m so I hit it in the spine and I lost the diamond rating...
I had a diamond whitetail come in close and I had my bow shot him about 15 yards picked him up he dropped right away and I had 600 grain arrows in my bow
I don't have the wild goose chase but would it still be good to grind with a 12 gauge?
You wouldn’t be able to get them to break and land without the decoys that come with the wild goose chase dlc.

I got my first diamond yesterday a 9.10 score goose
I don't know what I'm doing wrong but before the Mississippi reserve update I could get plenty to land or atleast circle before I bought the goose dlc, I bought it just to get the birdshot but now I see so many flocks yet they just ignore me.. I have tried moving spots due to the hunting pressure and have tried multiplayer with friends( which I hear has issues on its own) but nothing seems to work. Has something changed ?
I'm hunting 9am onwards and using the ground blind and decoys with the dlc. I actually have more geese fly over my old spot in schonfeldt strawfields (maybe 2-3 Flocks every 10 minutes) but they aren't interested at all
I have the same problem. Now I'm just using the .22 and shot them when they fly over me. I get like 5 to 7 per magazin. It's not super easy but works well.
im having the same problem rn, so many flocks dont come to my calls at all

I set up the decoys and lay in the coffin blind as shown in a location shown. I use the caller. The geese Never come close. Always stay high and and over to a side. What gives?
