The Spurs would be foolish to pair Rob Dillingham with Victor. Rob has the attitude of the person who believes he’s going to be an MVP someday. You do not need him to get in the way of Victors development.

Spurs fans do not want Reed Sheppard’s college teammate, Rob Dillingham. At 6-1 and 159 pounds, he will get crushed by the NBA’s physicality.
Dillingham plays no defense and that will not make him popular with Greg Popovich.
Dalton Knecht enters the draft as one of the oldest dudes going in. Not a good pick.
If healthy, the Spurs should take Nikola Topic.
If Topic is not healthy, they should go for Zaccharie Risasher and Matas Buzelis with their first two picks.
Yes : Risacher and Buzelis if they fall to 4 and 8 then Spurs will trade for a vet PG.

The Spurs will take Risacher if he’s there at 4, it’s not even a question. They’ve gone to see him play on 2 separate occasions, once was RC Buford and the other was owner Peter Holt. Dilly will be there at 8, the Spurs will take him then.
Pistons take Buzelis at 5 since Risacher goes to the Spurs at 4.

The team needs a PG and he'll be the best prospect available at 4. Gambling and waiting for pick #8 only makes sense if you think Risacher is the sort of prospect that warrant ignoring team need because his talent ceiling is high. I personally don't value his shot making more than filling the need at guard.
I don’t get why people say knecht is bad defensively he developed so much defensively in one year with Rick Barnes if he also has good coaching in the nba he will continue to develop defensively
I think he would fit in Charlotte. I'm coming around on it. I still think if Castle or Holland are on the board Charlotte needs to prioritize defense and secondary playmaking but if Knecht is a flamethrower, I am happy taking him at 6.
Spurs honestly are probably going to draft risacher and castle they are really high on risacher

@@inniciwetrust2039yes it’s not hard imo he’s the backup sg and guards the pg everyone else is big enough to guard other positions and he’s the perfect pg defender he’s a generational shooting version of T.J McConnell bare minimum
@@inniciwetrust2039 Reed would backup Fred and Amen would back up Brooks or Smith as a point forward. Amen is good, but can’t shoot and doesn’t dribble well. No way could he be the starting PG for the Rockets. Give me Reed for the future after Fred leaves.
Yeah. I kinda just think they need a longterm player who’s a sure fire shooter in the backcourt. The composure is big for me too.
@@mr.a6412 right. Reed’s lack of size is mitigated since the Rockets are huge at every other position. Plus it isn’t like Sheppard is a defensive liability either

If they get the opportunity, the Spurs are drafting Nikola Topic and Zaccharie Risasher. American players are too arrogant, more about getting their money than doing what they need to do for the TEAM.
Yes, the Kings need some rim protection. But drafting Missi to backup Sabonis and play maybe 10 minutes a game, doesn't really do anything to help. Missi won't play with Sabonis as the spacing would be terrible.

Bro, I watch and read a ton of spurs news And more.. it’s been said if Risacher is on the board there is NO WAY they will pass on him .. they select him over ROB. Let’s not forget the spurs GM and owner have been attending most of Risacher game in person and both stated they absolutely love his game and IQ. Yeah, no way they pass on him if he’s available. Also, rob is a Huge defensive liability..

Topic and Knecht could be the next Parker/Ginobili combo. But Topic is injured yet again. So I think he wont be a top 2 no more.
Spurs should grab 2 of either Zaccharie, Matas, Cody Williams or Ron Holland & maybe Topic if he falls to 8 but I think they should wait until next draft to get their pg of the future

Topic doesn’t make sense if you have a Deni avdija imo both similar style players that like the ball in their hands. And also Jordan Poole will probably start at pg and will share playmaking duties with Deni. But Poole can also play off ball so he and Deni can complement each other.
I think Toronto will draft edey 19 (is his stock doesn’t continue to rise) the raptors definitely like to have Canadian players on their team (RJ Boucher just to name a few) and edey being from Toronto and potentially being a long term Poetl replacement makes sense. I just don’t think Masai is dumb enough to take another 6’9 forward like we do every single draft

I think San Antonio needs more shooting. Holland is another floor constrictor (assuming the shot doesn’t improve). My whole thing is that they should be looking for fits around Wemby. Rob/Knecht makes more sense to me. Fwiw though Holland is like the #3 player on my board.
I like the Dillingham Knecht idea. I think that would add a lot of shot making and Wemby will find them out of double teams. But what about Castle at 4? Could he be another Derrick White eventually?

@@BobbyDouglasBasketball I like the idea of Kyshawn George from Miami with the Spurs @ 8 more than Knecht. With George, you're getting elite shooting upside, ball handling, and playmaking in a younger package that better complements how the Spurs like their offence to flow and their timeline. Knecht's more of an offensive dynamo that hunts his own shots and at his age I think he'd be a better fit for a team looking to make a playoff run.
Spurs need perimeter defense. Especially if they are taking Dillingham.

I don't think Spurs will take Dilly with their 4th pick if Risacher is available. There are many interesting PG prospects in this draft and their #8 pick will be enough to take one : a good 3nD player is their top priority to space the floor and we all know Pop loves overseas players : he won't chose 2 american guys in the first round because this draft is average but deep. Obviously, Sarr won't fall to #4 and Topic seems to be injury prone so... wait and see who will be picked in #1-3. Teams which are #5-7 don't really need a PG : Dilly could be there for Spurs #8 pick and they have 2 second round picks to find a backup center... or they take a center with their #8 and wait for a traded vet PG, maybe next year. Salaun could be a surprise pick too. Anyway, Spurs will be far better than in 2024 : no problem to be a play in team or even better. GSG.

Spurs really don't necessarily need a super point guard like rob or topic..trae jones is enough..if you take at look at their last 5 games, those are the glimpse of what the spurs are really are on 24-25 season..wemby needs a wing that plays offball, can shoot 3's and ability to drive to the basket..so that when hes doubled or tripled and to reposition his self to post..2 of these players can be reliable if wemby needs to pass the ball out..

They desperately need someone who can get the ball to Wemby. I think Dillingham can do that. Knecht gives them a bailout perimeter scoring option that they could use too.

Nope. Average but deep. A dozen of guys could be good one of these days. Remember TP was #28 and Ginobili a second rounder.
