Risacher s father is a true legend for French national team. People knowing the kid well say he s a gem with his technique, bball IQ and mentality. Shyer than Vic (which is a very high bar 😂) but very Spursian , like his father who also had a dawg mentality on the wing besides his shooting prowess in clutch times.
He would be a perfect fit for Pop
    GSG from France 🇫🇷

Yes : Stephane Risacher lost only by 10 the 2000 olympics final against Team USA... so Zaccharie was born with a ball in his hands ans has a big IQ and a great mindset. If he drops to 4, it's a top priority for Spurs because teams which are 5-7 don't need a PG and there will be good prospects left at #8, like Sheppard or Dillingham (Topic won't necessarily fall at 4 anyway).

  • @ngs3989
    @ngs3989 Před 28 dny +53

When Risaccher is available on 4 then you have to grab him. He is a great Talent. Good Cuts, good shots, and good defense. I think that a Forward who can shoot the Ball from outside is the biggest need. Last Season the shooting was terrible. The only player who has a decent outside shot is Devin Vassell. All the other Players were very inconsistent. So when Dillingham and Topic are off the Board at the 8 Spot, I like the idea to pick Reed Sheppard. He is also a great shooter and he is smart. I think he is not ready to start in his first NBA season. But I'm cool with another Year with Tre Jones at Pointguard. He is a solid traditional Pointguard. When they decided to start him, everything was easier for the starting Group.
    Greetings from Germany.

@@jaywp2343 If Sheppard fall to #4, Spurs can pick him with their #8 because teams 5-7 don't really need a PG. Sarr will be #1 and Topic's rank is a big question mark because he injured his knee twice in 5 months and seems to be risky even if he is good. With their #4, Spurs should pick Risacher before anybody else if he is available. Sheppard or Dillingham could be a good #8 pick if they fall there or Spurs can pick a backup center and trade for a vet PG. Many possibilities, including a surprise called Buzelis or Salaun : both could be good choices.

Ok, so I’m the Spurs GM
for five minutes. My top priority is getting Ricacher, and making sure Houston doesn’t.
Washington is in asset collection mode, and we have plenty of those, so I’d make a deal with the Wizards to switch places with us. They still get a great player at #4 and pick up assets - assets that are expendable to us - for their trouble.
Then i can pick Dillingham, Sheppard, Castle or Kneckt at #8, or I trade down to recoup lost assets from the Washington deal, and pick Jared McCain from Duke. I may have also have acquired Tyus Jones in the Wizards deal, giving me tons of options now at PG. Castle or McCain would be my priorities.
Lastly, I can add depth in the second round, or trade those picks for future assets - if they weren’t part of my deal with the Wizards.

4th pick: I'm fine with either one of the guards from Kentucky; Reed Sheppard or Rob Dillingham. This season they need to fix their biggest hole which is the PG position. Watching Sochan play the point was terrible. Tre Jones was solid but not all-star level, and Devonte Graham has shown improvement to play in the NBA. However, he'll be cut or traded on draft night. My perspective to lean on the most would be Reed Sheppard because I believe he can develop more, he's a great shooter and scorer. He can make teammates around better. Reed and Wemby will be solid for the Spurs.
8th pick: This is a massive toss up either to trade the pick for a veteran or keep the pick to build around Wemby for the future. If they keep the pick, my perspective would definitely be Dalton Knecht from Tennessee. Since Doug McDermott was traded during the season, this team still needs some shooting and size. Knecht reminds me of a Brent Barry where he's going to learn the system, accept his role. Plus, it gives this team option on the depth chart for him to play both guard and forward.
Overall, every fan has options on what the Spurs should do on draft night. Having 2 number 1 picks is huge. Will they keep going into their route of drafting international players. This is really not a strong draft class a little similar like 2013. However, this team has a future, everyone has opinions, and will accept these 2 players into the organization. #GoSpursGo

Right after the 4:55 minute mark, I love how the defender looks at the floor to see where wemby shot the ball from lol.
My prediction, If Risacher is available at 4, the spurs pick him up, then go after the best pg available at 8. Even if Risacher is snagged before the spurs, they may opt to select Buzelis. But if Sheppard is available then I could see that happening as well at the 4th pick. I believe the spurs want shooters.. Risacher's availability is going to be the biggest fork in the road for the spurs decision. With the spurs need for shooting, and Risacher's availability in question, I could see a Reed Sheppard and Dalton Knecht scenario playing out. But ya never know.. could see a Donovan Clingan surprise pick to bring back the two towers defense. Defense, Wemby aside, has been a big issue. I'm still a skeptic when it comes to the spurs willingness to play the correct defensive schemes to "throw" games (not to mention the sochan "experiment" to give them a 20 game cushion in the beginning of the season) But I'm sure the spurs would love to have defensive specialists as well. But... that could also be acquired via trades - which would come at a cheaper price then an established allstar guard... just saying.
I cant wait for my birthday - same day as the draft. There are so many possibilities. Whatever the spurs dont get, they will trade for - book it! :)

You're thinking he's slow because Purdue only used him under the basket but he is much more than that. He won the college player of the year 2 years running. You you don't give that award to a player once, much less twice if he cannot play. He is better than Donovan Clingan and is enormous. Plus he is about 1/2 inch shorter than Wemby and has about an inch to an inch and a half less wingspan but it is still tremendous.

You can practice to be a better shooter, but you can never practice to grow taller. Size can't be taught. If the Spurs had wanted a short PG who can't defend, they could have Trae but it won't happen.
PGs are a dime a dozen around the league, but a 6'10 shooter? Risacher being French would fit in nicely. Also, what's stopping Spurs from bundling both their top 10 picks to swap with the Hawks to get Sarr and get back Dejonte?
What we know is the Spurs have always been very shrewd with their picks and able to pick out diamonds in almost every draft. They don't buy hype from agents and media.
