Man, it's annoying as hell to see the judges just sit there and talk amongst themselves while the beats play. To be a judge you should really digest each beat to make a proper decision.
That shit is hella unprofessional. Definitely poor selection of judges.
those are literally the hottest producers out right now for judges, who else would they have chosen, they got judged by the best as it should be. their conduct is another thing though.
Lach 44 Joell Ortiz isn't a producer, he only raps. Also, the hottest producer thing is subjective. I would consider guys like Apollo Brown and Harry Fraud as some of the best producers out today, but to each their own.
Or they should've had a producer from separate genres. Pharrell (Neptunes), Metro Boomin', and David Guetta as judges. IMO
it's simply the hottest producers in the hip hop "mainstream" scene right now. I think everyone attending is very glad to be judged by Metro boomin or even Sonny Digital..

He had people thinking he would come through with some smooth stuff then 29:18 comes in and shit got turnt. That vibe must've felt incredible. I'd be willing to bet pretty heavily. The flume song "ezra" was released 5 years ago. If you listen to both, it's not hard to tell. Jordan's first beat is basically the original song with a few generic trap patterns and samples thrown on top of it. The rest of his beats were pretty nice but those could have also been remixes for all i know.
