Your guides are a blast to watch, while others cry over patch notes you prove in actual game footage how to play and dominate. Keep up the great content!
I think it's beyond people "crying". The patch on it's own foretells a very disturving future for classes.
Also Daredevil, with or without shadow arts has always been the go to with it's sustain.
Ofc Vallun is an amazing player, but there are 2 sides of the same coin and people need to show their issues with the patch.
i really like the new SA changes. i never liked the traits that rely on staying in stealth for a long time. on d/p i want to stealth and attack quickly, so those new trait changes are amazing. i picked the same traits you took, but i'm really missing the stealth on steal :/
Biggest appeal for me when I started gw2 was thief class design, I like how you need to pick and choose when to stealth to repostion, nice to see they go all in with that direction with the class.
Hope you keep making more vids like this. I love the play by play commentary. Helps a lot with learning and getting into that mentality for PvP - currently about to start PoF so got a long way before I give PvP a try :).

Haven't seen any staff daredevil in a long while ; is it a bad weapon for spvp ? I really love the weapon but I'm not sure I can afford to use it in ranked. I would appreciate your perspective on it.

SA changes was might be the only thing they got right with the balance update, they took away annoying and bad part of the thief and gave him more dueling capabilities over all
Hi Vallun, what camera mode you are using for thieft? Action or normal camera?
I heard SA deadeye is a blast to play right now with 7 malice. Empty initiative to gain malice, death's judgement, stealth to gain initiative, repeat. You can also use mercy to fill initiative by spending your malice if you are in a tight spot. Would love a video showcasing that!
That's actually good tho... Since the last SA nerf screwed DE over.. But this change is a good tradeoff, gonna miss the stealth on steal/mark

Do you think you might be able to see how the new SA performs with your old Trickery/DA/Specter Build (the one using S/D)? I'm hesitant to swap out DA for SA.. ) :
I'm hesitant because Mug is a good opener against Guards because of Aegis (due to the dmg proc), and with Siphon also giving slow, it's a good way (imo) to hobble the enemy. Mug's healing is also clutch in some cases, so I'm unsure if swapping out DA for SA while playing to S/D is worth it. Very curious about your thoughts!
you remove aegis with the trickery trait bountiful theft when you steal anyway, i would say that deadly arts is still better on that old build because i would only play shadow arts specter as a support which i have another build for

Can you make a video showing how you play dagger pistol thief? Im new to pvp and cant quite figure out all the combos that you are doing

Looked on the guide you have on guildjen... Why do you steal so late in the opener? But not Pistol 5, dagger 2 and steal while in dagger 2, then open with Backstab and continue?
because you don't get value from porting 600 range, its so short that you can walk that far. You use steal to interrupt enemies key abilities or to break their blocks
@@Vallun Ah, but the steal gives you a lot of boons, making the backstab hit harder :o but good point about interrupting!

i have a question i want to play dardevil to roam in wvw, i would like to know the pro and cons of d/p and s/d, because i can't make my choice. thanks in advance
DP is good burst but low sustain, better for ganking. SD is good poke and sustain, better for group play or 1v1.
I just wish they kept stealth on steal. How are you supposed to stealth attack with Sc/P specter? There are literally no good options. You would have to use HiS or BP wasting heal or stunbreak. Stealth on steal ensures every build can access stealth attack somehow at least but now it's gone. :(

works better on core since you have the long range steal to make up for the telegraphed dagger skills

kinda hard to go in and out stealth on specter…unless you use utilities…kinda forcing me not to use wells
