- Take a journey from the deep outer space, into the spiral milky way, then into one of its outer arms and behold the beautiful plant called "Earth". "Nessun dorma" (English: None shall sleep) is an aria from the final act of Giacomo Puccini's opera Turandot, and is one of the best-known tenor arias in all opera. The grandeur of the music matches the resplendent images of space.

Yes, it's one of those piece of music many people refer to as "that song". They know the tune, they love it and yet do not know the title nor the origin of the song. Thank you for your beautiful comment.
I heard a high school play this and I spent all night trying to remember the name and find it. I finally did :D
Same!!
Good for you! I know how relieved you feel. I've been there too.. so many times :))
I always cry, without exception, listening to this. I love it so much.
My high school orchestra class is playing this. We played it all the way through today for the first time. Holy crap, it’s amazing..
I still have fond memories of playing this piece in high school band
"Nessun Dorma"
Nessun dorma! Nessun dorma!
Tu pure, o Principessa,
Nella tua fredda stanza
Guardi le stelle
Che tremano d'amore
E di speranza.
Ma il mio mistero é chiuso in me,
Il nome mio nessun saprà!
No, no, sulla tua bocca lo dirò
Quando la luce splenderà!
Ed il mio bacio scioglierà il silenzio
Che ti fa mia!
Dilegua, o notte!
Tramontate, stelle!
Tramontate, stelle!
All'alba vincerò!
Vincerò, vincerò!
Vincerò!
Lindíssima

Thank you 99.7 RKFM. I love you guys. You guys played this in my childhood years in Kuwait, I’ve been looking for this piece of music for years. But I would’ve never heard it ever. If it hadn’t played through my single earphones through that cheap ass radio I carried along back then. You guys did the best job ever for this kid from kuwait. ❤️
Good piece to play in band, very moving. I had heard the tune on Episode 6 of Durarara!! And was brought back to this song

Perfect !
Stupendous video and excellent music !!!! Big huggies Perla.
amazing
I think nature and music are the greatest manifestations of something greater. I use nature to express the spirituality of a piece of music, and music, to express the spirituality of nature. I think they're interchangeable . . . in my search for a purpose. Thanks for watching.

God expressing Himself in the human soul!
Nessun dorma! Nessun dorma!
Tu pure, o Principessa,
nella tua fredda stanza,

Ma il mio mistero è chiuso in me;
il nome mio nessun saprà!
No, No! Sulla tua bocca,
lo dirò quando la luce splenderà!
Ed il mio bacio scioglierà
il silenzio che ti fa mia!
Il nome suo nessun saprà,
E noi dovrem, ahimè, morir, morir!
Dilegua, o notte!
Tramontate, stelle!
Tramontate, stelle!
All'alba, vincerò!
Vincerò! Vincerò!
O sole! Vita! Eternità!
Luce del mondo è amore!
Ride e canta nel sole
L'infinita nostra felicità!
Gloria a te! Gloria a te!
Nessun dorma! Nessun dorma!
Tu pure, oh Principessa
Nella tua fredda stanza
Guardi le stelle che tremano
D'amore e di speranza
Ma il mio mistero è chiuso in me
Il nome mio nessun saprà
No, no, sulla tua bocca lo dirò
Quando la luce splenderà
Ed il mio bacio scioglierà
Il silenzio che ti fa mia
(ll nome suo nessun saprà
E noi dovrem, ahimè, morir, morir)
Dilegua, oh notte!
Tramontate, stelle!
Tramontate, stelle!
All'alba vincerò!
Vincerà!

Anyone know how I can find this on spotify?
Google tv
You're welcome. Of course, that's true. I'm sure you've noticed the same thing in my videos.
Though I know you probably didn't intend it, I like the idea of the beautiful "plant" called Earth.....it's kinda true!
"Vincero!!!!!!!"
I sang in the Opera turandot
Puccini passed away before Turandot was finished.... I like to think this was the last thing he wrote 😊
Which Orchestra is performing this??
Can I borrow this video to go used it? 🙏🏻
Was earth destroyed at the end?
Shizuka Arakawa - 2006 Olympic Free Program
They did really well but I think they could have captured the more romantic style that the piece was written in.
Nessun Dorma is supposed to have more of a victorious feel to it
The video is awesome, but for me there's no way to relate this composition with Space.
I think it's les about space and more just about the wonder and majesty of the universe around us. this song does have very romantic tones so it makes sense. That's just me though.
I completely agree... While I am listening to this, I would prefer imagining people who are in love, man who is waiting for his mistress in vain, the roses, wine, and city lights and not lights from galaxies and comets... This is what Puccini thought about when writing this beautiful piece... :)
I think the other two comments are right, plus, the lyric says “Tramontate stelle” which in Italian means “set stars” (stars go away)
The song is a veiled allegory for the march of millions of sperm up the fallopian tube to fertilize one glorious egg.. Like many comets or asteroids targeting a planet.. . only one can impact first. The unknown prince is the winning/first sperm and the beautiful but cold princess is the egg.. That's why all the princes who don't solve riddle die? Because all the other sperm that don't get inside egg die.. It's not that the princess is actually that cruel.. Its all just a metaphor for age old universal story of procreation. 😉😇

SUBLIME SUBLIME
Did anyone notice that one of the slides was a screen shot from halo 4?

SÓ FALTOU UM BAIXO......
Nessun Dorma (nobodies home) leaves me only with my spirit and, hopefully, beautiful thoughts and wonderful memories. I was never alone and so, never ever will be as long I remember that My Creator has never left me and will never will as I am only a child of the universe. Peace.
No one sleep. Nessun, as in no one, and Dorma, derivative from the Latin Dormere, in the accusative plural.
Babada fuckin Boopie.
I like how you use use images you dont own and put music you dont own under it, and then have the balls to put a copyright mark at the end ROFL
This song for me is just nostalgic. Like missing the past when everything was good. For some reason when I think of this song I think of an old lady on a cold Russian day walking by the palace and missing the days when she was part of the court when she was younger.
Idk why, that’s what I think about
Shawty got low
