The point of contact less card is not saving time, this feature was introduced because the cameras and the person swapping the card used to steal the PIN, reason why this feature came into picture where small amounts upto 2k can be debited with this contactless feature.
So the argument at last where standing in line and saving few seconds one is not justified and stands void.
But breaking the wire was something new and was helpful

  • @deepankarchandrashekhar1038

Another Solution : If you happen to have two Contactless cards, store them on top on each other. That way if someone tries to scan your wallet, both cards will respond and the reader won't be able to read either one. This way you can enjoy contactless payments plus it addresses the concern. Also the second card will be thinner than RFID blocking cases. And yes! you can use an expired card as well. It will get the job done.

    1. It doesn't work from wallet you need to tap it on that card swaping machine.. yes I have tried it two different shops.
    2. If you are using big bank card their app have options to ON/OFF the card.
    3. Adding your cards to Samsung pay (only in samsung NFC supported phone) you can use wave payment functionality with the security of your biometric lock. Additionally Samsung will add reward points to your samsung pay account on every single transaction.

Tap to pay works on a stateless tokenization system that doesn't involve the actual credit card details. A randomised token is created for each transaction and the bank verifies that token. This token cannot be replayed. NFC payment works only when the distance between the card and device is less than 4cm. Unless someone is carrying a PoS device and decides to touch your butt without you realising it cannot be spoofed. Further, NFC payments work only with authorised PoS and not with any random device and certainly not with a cellphone.
