The fuel tanker drivers tend to be cautious...curious what caused this...

What about the truck driver? This news report concentrated on the inconvenience of the accident. It stated two were hurt. Is the truck driver ok? Can you imagine carrying that kind of load - one that can explode and the flames and smoke can be seen for miles?
I cannot believe there are not more of these! Those trucks CANNOT stop on a dime. Every day I see other vehicles constantly cut them off. Jump in front of them when they are leaving space between them and the vehicle in front of them. It is ridiculous and yet we complain about the trucks. They are moving goods for us the consumers, and when they are signaling for a lane change very few give them the space to move over. Houston is one of the largest metropolitan areas in the country and we cannot get a handle on this angry, me first, get out of my way, tailgating attitude. Show some good manners and use common sense when you drive. It is not a game. Prayers for this truck driver and others who choose to keep American commerce and life conveniences moving. Prayers for others injured in this accident and prayers for all of us who travel on Houston roads and highways. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

At night, we have NASCAR racing on IH-45 and -69. Cars/pickups going 100mph weaving in and out of traffic. But HPD seems to be busy elsewhere. I wonder what the accident rates are for these roads? Perhaps drone patrolling could be used?

Yeah the blue tanker truck is a vacuum truck pumping out the drains and ditch. I’ve loaded tanker trucks for the past 18 years now. Luckily nothing serious has happened while loading and nothing has happened to my co workers who do the deliveries. 🙏

This is a very sad accident. Unfortunately the drivers were hurt and ones seriouly hurt. Also, I must say even though this happened on the week-end. There are drivers constantely driving very badly on Tidwell. I drive down Tidwell everly work week Monday thru Friday, from 290 to Shepherd. Drivers are running every intersection light everyday; in the morning and when I get off work. They do not care. I see the Light signals clearly red for them to stop and they are still running the light, while it's green for the others drive to go. It's rediculous. Also, the fly through the school zones. I hate to say, maybe it's becuase of what side of town these people travel on. **But I know people are running light all across town and driving rediculously.
