Long, heartfelt answer to the Hall of Fame question which was as perfect as I could have imagined.
    Great interview.

Great interview Gina. Why do so few people seem to find these interviews? You are a real pro!

Its really too bad that my dads generation did not get to the point we mostly are now with mental help and looking for help.
Gino and Jr greatly appreciate the brave honest chat.Absolutely love Jrs story and closing words. Just honest to the heart truth. 😊
Growing up had 6 of my older and a young relative give way to depression, sub abuse and undiag metal issues . From both sides of my large famly.
Always a point of shame for ppl to admit a problem or ask for help .
My dad being one who lost in the battle with alcohol and depression has missed a ton of great things an ppl since.
My parents did not get me started into hockey young, i started myself after summer work at age 16 . Goalie and fwd 30 plus yrs.
I take some comfort and confidence with me to each game or practise knowing that my dad had he been able to ask and accept help he would have traveled to some of the games met my wife, and other ppl in my life i call friends.
Be true tou yourself, if something is just not feeling right ask questions, keep family close and let them know you care about them. They care about you.
Atlantc Canada loves jr the player and the person. Ty fellas. 😊

JR and Alexander Mogilny should 100% be in the HOF. It is a joke they are not. Fantastic interview here. Loved it. I don't know how anyone who knows what JR has been through and what he accomplished on the ice and not come away thinking he is a HOF player.

This was a fantastic interview. Jeremy Roenick is one of my favorite Blackhawks (and interesting he credits Doug Wilson, another favorite, as saving his life), and he is a legend. If he's kept out of the Hall of Fame, it would be a travesty.
A funny little JR story. Near the beginning of his career, my friends and I traveled to Minneapolis to watch the Hawks play the North Stars. JR got pummeled during the game by one of the North Star goons at the time. We're in the airport heading home when we happen to run into the Hawks also heading back to Chicago. We see JR and say hello to him, and his response was something like "Who the f are you?" We were taken aback, but we saw Dirk Graham take him aside and talk to him. So JR wasn't always so fan friendly, but he learned and went onto become a tremendous fan favorite. What wasn't to like? A goal scorer who played very physical. Chicago loved JR.
Glad to see he's doing well. Love his commercial with Ric Flair! 😂
    Excellent interview Gino.

Great interview. So many men go down a dark path when they retire or feel like they’ve lost their purpose. I have seen it first hand. I never touch alcohol for this reason. Good for JR for being so honest about it all. Go look up his story about golfing with President Trump.

Travesty JR is not in hall of fame and #27 not hanging from rafters at UC. He was a legend!

big suprise for me the way jr handles himself i thought this going to be completly the opposite, the way he played the game, i thought he was going to be an a-hole big i'm pleasantly blown out of the water, hats of to gino for a great show with a wonderful man the jr has grown into

Absolutely JR should be in the HOF. The establishment will not do any favours for outspoken, honest people in all areas of life these days. See Theo Fleury. Both of these studs should be in the HOF without question.

You make a great point SaltyFletch. The Baseball Hall of Fame is the same.
It’s a complete joke. These two guys are good conservatives and they are very outspoken.
