O my Lord, how is that possible for the supreme one, who has in His belly all the cosmic manifestation? The answer is that it is possible, for at the end of the millennium You lie down on a leaf of a banyan tree, and just like a small baby, You lick the toe of Your lotus Foot Tyagaraja says that Rama saved innumerable devatas and men. Then he asks how he became a burden to Him. Sages Nara & Narayanar (Incarnation of Narayanar) meets MARKENDAYA Maharishi and asks for boon. MARKENDAYA Maharishi says i wanted to see Pralayam kaalam and your samrakshanam. Sages Nara & Narayanar smiles and gave the same boon to MARKENDAYA Maharishi as per the wish of MARKENDAYA Maharishi. Yet another raga that is devoid of the Rishabha is Bahudari. It is unique, attractive, and the road less taken. The Aarohana-Avarohana of this raga is SGMPDNS / SNPMGS. The notes that feature in this raga are Sadja, Antara Gandhara, Suddha Madhyama, Pancama, Chatusruti Dhaivata, and Kaisiki Nishada. Bahudari conveys jubilation and positivity.
The signature piece in Bahudari in classical music is ‘Brova Barama’ by Tyagaraja. This song has been sung by Yesudas and used by Ilaiyaraaja in the Sivaji-starrer Kavari Maan. The phrase ‘DNPMG’ is most suited for this raga and Tyagaraja opens this well-loved piece with it.
Bahudari songs are very hard to find in mainstream film music. However, a Bahudari-based song that has come out in recent times is ‘Aha Kaadhal’ from Moondru Per Moondru Kaadhal, composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Starting at the Gandhara, the tune descends into the depths of the Nishada in ‘Konji Konji Pesudhe’, with the phrase ‘PMGSNSMG’ providing a suitable connect. The violin solo in the interlude is heart-warming.

This lyric has a very unique reference from Srimad Bhagavadam about sage Markandey Rishi humble request to Sri Mahadeva who tell him to penance to Sri Narayana to get his wish fulfilled. This also has reference in Sree Narayaneeyam.

It's not gopikaaalakai,,but just gopilakai...meaning changes,,importance to rules of music not to bhava
nannu Kani means to give birth to me which is wrongly sung, it should be as nannokani, means, me as a single individual, cannot you give moksham , when whole universe is in your stomach. Another mistake is, they are pronouncing the word SREE as she, which is sounding when listened. It should be Sree Vasudeva andakotlu not andakotla. Kalasambhudilo dayatho amarulakai, adigaka means besides. One should know the meaning of each word and the way it should be pronounced, before singing.

gopikaalakai is wrong, it should be Gopikalakai. There is no deergham at ka. Everybody sings like this, I do not know. No doubt singing is extraordinary but saahityam that is lyrics and their pronunciation is utmost important. I request the singer to consider my piece of advice. Tyagaraja Swamy was eminent in Sanskrit and Telugu literature, despite the fact he was born in Tamil area. People sing well but they do not feel like learning Telugu, understand the meaning of the saahityam, proper pada khandana, pronunciation etc., Singing alone does not serve the purpose. Through his writings he was praying Lord Rama. If saahitya doshalu are there, the purpose of Tyagayya keertans is defeated. One should know this.
