I was hoping it would pop more on the white but the black came out wild!! I’d give it a 4!
4 It pops on the black with a nice color, but on the white it is so subtle, but with a nice shimmer with a very slight color tint to it.

I'll give it a five that Black looks really good. I'd love to see that Pearl over dark blue. I'm trying to figure out what to do with my 99 Ford explorer that has that midnight blue with a similar metallic to that that makes it look purple in light.

The only color I've done it over is smoke gray that was the very first rustoleum custom mixed episode if you want to check it out

Hey John, can you clarify a couple of things? I notice that both these paints are paint and primer so I am curious as to if we scale this to a car what considerations do we need to keep in mind? Also I see it mentions plastic on the can are there and advantages or disadvantages of this type of paint being for plastic vs metal? please advise.
To be honest the 2x rustoleum paint and primer is pretty good and forgiving over metal and plastic so there's really no issues i could see you running into different than any other paint. You just wanna treat it as you would any other base clear paint job. The biggest thing is don't worry about trying to get it glossy with the paint just spray for coverage and if you use the pearls in the clear take your time and walk the length of the car when you spray the sides to get the best consistent results. How long of a wait time after spraying the rustoleum paint do you spray the clear with pearls? The Black is Definitely a 5 and the white a 4.8!!
About an hr when spraying it thru a paint gun and about 20 mins when it's spray can but i always touch the tape or hidden spot to see if it's tacky but doesn't pull paint off on my finger that lets me know it's ready for the next coat thanks for watching
After applying your rustoleum paint .what is the wait time to apply the clear ?
With the spray paint about 20 mins but if your shooting thru a gun 45 to an hr I usually check the tape around what I'm spraying if it's tacky but not pulling paint off on my finger you're good to go thanks for watching
