I have flown Spirit's Big Front Seats and I thought they were an amazing deal for the money. Very comfortable on my short flight from Atlanta to New Orleans - and I would definitely do them on a longer one. So long as you know to bring your own food, hydration and entertainment, you're good to go!
Good to hear. I decided to try spirit as the big front seat was the same price as any other airline economy seats. And since it's cross country figured it was worth it. Looking forward to first time flying in a more comfortable seat than economy.

The Big Front Seat on Spirit airlines is worth every penny especially for longer flights. You will easily pay 3X for a round trip first class ticket on any major competitor airline. The Big Front Seat is a secret gem in budget air travel.

I flew in seat 1A on the spirit a320neo from Atlanta to Baltimore earlier in the year. It definitely was better than a frontier big front seat
I enjoyed this vlog, as it gave a very comprehensive look at Spirit and their inflight product. It seemed like a fairly standard flight...nothing to complain about. I did make one observation in that the flight attendant announcements were basically incomprehensible, at least to me. They were speaking at such a rapid-fire pace that it was nearly impossible to understand, almost like listening to an auctioneer!! In any event, thanks for another great trip report!
I have sat in the big front seat before and it’s definitely worth the price, by far one of the most comfortable seats I’ve sat in a airplane
A lot of people hate on Spirit but Spirit is one of the more profitable airlines for a reason. It is worth it for a lot of people to fly these short haul routes in a little discomfort if it saves them significant amount of money. On top of that, spirit has one of the newest fleets out there so a lot of their planes feel clean

Honestly I’m loyal to American Airlines but flew spirit for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised
Several years ago I used to fly Midwest Express between ATL and MSP because they had a 2-2 configuration and larger seats on their entire 737 aircraft (and warm cookies!), but they went away. Now I fly Spirit almost exclusively between ATL and MSP, and I always get a Big Seat. I think it's an amazing deal for only an extra $100 or so for a round trip.
I live in NYC and own a condo in North Myrtle Beach so I fly down 4-5 times a year. I always book the big front seat. Best deal on any airline. I have drinks and food in the Centurion Club first and download my shows on my IPAD before hand. Sometimes I’ll get the two drinks and 1 mixer deal onboard. I usually have a good experience.
I hope to fly Spirit one day. My son is a Captain and enjoys working for Spirit.

I sat on the Big front seat on spirit airlines Airbus a319 on October 18 the first time
After stints on WOW Air, Frontier, Viva Air, and to a lesser extreme TUI Fly and TAP Air Portugal, I'm making it a point to avoid LCC's as much as possible. I would fly TUI and TAP again because it wasn't bad on either one, and the only other one I want to try is Breeze Air in the A220. Other than that, when it comes to LCC'S, I'm good. I'll pay the extra on a legacy carrier and earn the miles, though they aren't worth as much as they used to be.
The real reason jetBlue went fully ballistic with its offer to buy Spirit was because they couldn’t let Frontier grow that big if Spirit-Frontier happened, leaving them at such weak position. Also the main point of B6 buying NK is mainly because they’ll be getting a bigger market share, pilots, crew members and planes that quick, and they’ll also be getting access to NKs orders of A319neo and A320neo, which is basically like if they just cut in the line considering the extensive timeframe for A320neo family deliveries. jetBlue has already stated that all we know as Spirit will eventually be scrapped and converted into the JetBlue we know today, that includes fares, inflight product, cabins, liveries “tailfins”, etc.
And to Hayes (B6 CEO), when asked about which of their focus cities could be seeing a boost, stated that from all of their focus cities (JFK, BOS, SJU, FLL, MCO), SJU, FLL, MCO and LAX will be seeing an increment in their operations compared to their actual state.
Also, about the A319, flew on it last week and the FAs told me they’re apparently accelerating their retirement and that if jetBlue takes over, there would be a higher chance of them converting the A319neo orders into A321neo, whether if it’s the LR or XLR.
Not bad at all. You know I used to take 6AM or earlier flights and redeyes in my career but now that I am retired, I don't fly before 11AM. Thanks for the flight.

Spirit is getting new seats…again! This time they will be provided by HAECO. This does show that Spirit wants to be a better airline! I’ll definitely fly Spirit over Frontier or Allegiant!
However, Spirit can’t compare with JetBlue’s excellence! I’m very excited and hopeful for this merger.

April will be my first Spirit flight we did get the big seats, flying on points so besides the seat cost in it for short money... so bring snacks entertainment and what else do I need a heads up on? flying MCO to BOS.
I never considered Sprint but I will now. Can you please let us know the cost of a flight like this? It was one of your first points, I'd like to know the cost difference between American and Sprint Big Seat.

Recently flew delta domestic first class to ATL then delta one (intl first class) to brazil. TBH i prefer the Spirit BFS to delta domestic FC. more comfortable and possibly more padding? delta domestic FC was kind of a let down. Spirit BFS def worth the money

Since they merged with JetBlue I would expect them to bring out in flight entertainment with seatback screens. I’m loyal to 1 airline which is JetBlue no airline can beat JetBlue with it comes to inflight entertainment. Spirit needs to step their game up as well as southwest
Always bothers me when a FA refers to DFW Airport as "Dallas", there's a historic city rivalry between Dallas and Fort Worth.
Dallas has it's own own airport. DAL Dallas Love Field, a huge part of the history of WN when they didn't sign the agreement every other airline to move to FAA decreed joint Airport called DFW.

I love their premium product. Beats the legacy carriers for the price… I hope the JetBlue Spirit merger is denied because they’ll most likely end the big front seat product and absorb Spirit completely into JBU.
What's your thoughts on their order for 31 A319NEOs? Do you think the order for all 31 will get converted to orders for another plane (whether A220, A320NEO, or A321NEO) as they seek to merge into JetBlue?
I really hope it’s the A220; those are so much better than the A319. JetBlue might also want the A220-100, as it’s a bit closer of a replacement for the E-190. I also hope that JetBlue gets the A220-500 if it comes out.
@@davidpalomeque4689 Id like to see at least 1 A319NEO. I think Spirit is the only US airline that ordered it. There are plenty of A220s coming online
Note that the A220 is cheaper to operate, plus far more popular with passengers. Rumors are going that the A319neo just might be cancelled altogether

I was speaking purely from an enthusiast standpoint. I was personally happy to see Spirit order the 319neo as I said earlier because nobody else did
Jetblue is going to convert all Spirit planes to Jetblue configuration. The reason Jetblue bought them out is to have access to even more routes and planes. They will become 5th largest airline after the merger
What they need to do is bring inflight entertainment with seatback screens.
The rumor plan is for all of spirit's fleet to wear the jetblue cabins as of right now.
People who complain about spirit too much are just trying to justify themselves spending more money on other carriers. Ultimately, spirit will get you to your destination safely and almost always for a lot cheaper. And if the flight you’re looking at isn’t cheaper with them, then don’t fly them! Pretty simple.

I hate this merger! I want spirit to be independent. I just feel as if too many people complain about spirit due to seats and frills! They are meant to have none so stop complaining.
I just flew spirit a few days ago. The cabin crew didn't pressurize the airplane correctly and my ears are still messed up. Had to fight to not be charged 99$ for my bag even though it fit the 'personal size' measurements.
Spirit Airline, not Airlines...there's only one. We don't have a sister airline.
